The food in this place is unbelievably amazing!! We got a vegetarian dish and a meat dish and both were incredibly delicious! Chamba the owner is also incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome. It was great to engage in conversation with him too!! I highly recommend this place! A true hidden gem !!

I stayed in the Alfama neighborhood while in Lisbon and this restaurant was a staple of my visit. Friendly staff and open late. The space is small yet inviting while highflying their northern African roots. Every dish I had was packed with flavor and a healthy portion. You can tell the care and pride that goes into every dish. They have a selection of wines, sangria and don't forget dessert especially the mango mousse.

This was a hidden gem - so delicious. We had some bread, olives, a delicious place of shrimp in Mozambique sauce and the Cachupa (beef and chicken stew with corn and vegetables). Everything was delicious. This was a tiny place on a side street in Alfama near some of the tourist traps, but felt very authentic. The server was very friendly and helpful. We also had a nice bottle of wine and he brought out some cassava and the most amazing hot sauce (it was so good I would have bought a bottle - I think maybe piri-piri as I was googling to try to figure out what it was). Definitely visit if you have a spare lunch time in Lisbon!

Ok thank god we stumbled upon this place. After drinking some amazing (and very storing) Portuguese red wine, I had the coconut shrimp and then an avocado mousse. My mom had a salad and mango mousse. We loved it. The service did take a while but we were entertained with ourselves (thank god we ordered that wine). Everything was so fresh and delicious. Such great veggie options. Come here!!

Cozy environment- literally 5 (?) tables. The food had great and unique flavors. The vegetable soup was my favorite though. My husband got the shrimp curry and I had the crab curry. They both required work to access the meat. There was flavor but not very spicy. Extra spice is available on request. The server was very nice and helpful. Thanks!!

This place is a beautiful surprise in Alfama, i tried by recommendation of my host, It's Mozambiquean food and it's amazing. I had the Matapah, that comes with rice, tapioca and prawn, it was amazing. I'll try again another dish if i get back to Alfama.

The food across the board was excellent--every dish we tried was flavorful, well-prepared, and felt thoughtfully put together. You can tell there's real intention behind both the menu and execution. What really elevated the experience, though, was our waiter, Bernardo. He brought incredible energy to the table--full of personality, engaging, and genuinely fun to interact with. At the same time, his service was top-notch: attentive without being overbearing, helpful with recommendations, and clearly passionate about what he does. Great food is one thing, but when you pair it with service like that, it turns into a memorable experience. Highly recommend--and if you get Bernardo, you're in for a great time.
