The next visit was great with Lauren then I was handed off to the nurse practioner , in May I had an appointment I went to the appointment paid my copayment sat down to wait while waiting I recieved a message that my 82 year old dad had fallen . I told the front desk I had to leave for an emergency he said I could use the copayment for next visit . After I few months I recieved an invoice for 34.19 I then called asked what for was told not to worry till they research. The next appointment I asked again . I was told they did not know what for. And then got a message from Lauren. She said she was gonna research. I then got a call they wanted to go over my liver mri . I said ok when I went to the appointment I was told I could not be seen over the 34.19 . The office manager took me in a room and told me it was because I left early over 6 months ago and insurance did not cover that visit. I was angry very mad to the point my predisone kicked in which never has before . I then said I was leaving a bad review over this for it was a ridiculous charge and it told me this doctor doesnt care for me she cares for money and reviews .she left a message in my patient portal terminating my care with her. So Id personally rather wait and have someone listen and attempt to help me than rush through appointments stay on time. I've been with him for a year and a half at least and he's always made us a team in our care. He's taken our suggestions listened to our concerns and had us help with our plan of care.

Their office told me they cannot get me in for nine months!! That's right nine months. The receptionist was absolutely rude And gave zero advice and frankly I believe it's because my insurance company is Humana and they probably don't pay as well as some of the other insurance companies. This group should be ashamed of themselves as my eyesight is extremely important to me, and this group refused to get me in or even do a Teladoc appointment to give me a referral to a retinal specialist, shame on them!!! Selfish, greedy and unresponsive, and I have reported them to Humana!

Changes happen but when all of a sudden, you are no longer able to see the dr you were dealing with and staff are treating patients poorly you question why it is allowed. You are not able to schedule an appt with the dr even if she requested you to follow up with her personally. staff tells you rudely " things have changed and notice was given". I was blindsided with no prior warning, walked from exam room to the desk to make that appt something must have changed. The dr specifically telling me to see her for the next visit changing to no one sees her except for one visit a year. I understand the growth and need for additional drs to see all of the patients in timely manner but it was not handled in a good way. Lack of communication has created a barrier. I don't appreciate the hour or more wait time and the staff attitudes. Now that I have been shuffled to the new dr. I am questioning if it is worth it. I think no. There are plenty of new people moving to Hernando looking for a dr. I am sure they will keep the practice going as the " old" patients lose heart and faith in it. The dr is great and highly recommended when you get to see her for the one visit a year allowed.

I called both my insurance and their office in advance and was told by both that a wellness visit was covered. I GAVE MY INSURANCE info over the phone for them to check this.The only advice I received was to stop taking my anti anxiety meds. (Keep in mind I?m diagnosed MDD with anxiety since the early 90?s). She took no blood for diagnoses. Did nothing regarding physical issues only the mental health ones which she is woefully unqualified to do. Since then I have learned they billed my insurance for over 500.00 and they keep bothering me for money. They call, they email and they text. I have repeatedly asked them to stop to no avail on every form of communication. I feel like I am being held hostage by their aggressive tactics. If I had even gotten a blood test it would be different. BEWARE!

Having a connective tissue disease means a lot of doctor appointments for referrals and for regular care. The reception team get me timely appointments, call to remind me of my appointments, and have processed all my referrals and prescriptions correctly. The medical technicians/nurses have been polite, helpful, and professional at every encounter. This is a small office with just Dr Abskhroun to see patients. There have been a few times when I had to wait past my appointment time to see him. This is because he never rushes through appointments. I can appreciate that in doing so (listening to his patients) appointments can run long. Dr Abskhroun likes to focus on just a couple issues at a time to ensure no overlap in need for specialty referrals or medication prescriptions. This has reduced my daily medication load making my liver happier.
