This establishment in unorganized, dismissive ,rude, abusive and the new doctor exaggerates his qualifications ( halfway through my contract dr black retired and without notice a new, less qualified dr started treating me without my consent.). I experienced client abandonment as well, *without proper notice, or wrapping up my care in a safe way ( they literally led me to believe I was coming in multiple times to pick up a new set of retainers, just to privately cancel my contract , stating that I threatened to sue them). Dr Andrews was obviously defensive before he planned our meeting. This was only after years of being openly dismissed and having multiple mistakes made like ill fitting trays.. Paying these guys in full does not pull any respect, in fact its a good way to get your contact abruptly canceled ( they are very pushy about getting payment, even if treatment plan is behind.). Also be ware that treatment plan goals are not taken seriously or included in the contract/ terms of service, which only includes the payment dates and consequences for not paying. Edit as of 8/8/26~ Dr Black ortho is now attempting to condition the release of a prepaid, pre-made nightgaurd ( that they convinced me to buy upon signing the contract) ,under the conditions that I sign a " gag clause contract", which would prevent me from posting honest reviews. Not only is this unethical but is not even legal. And is proof they are paying to have their negative google reviews removed. $$$ Some of us cannot be bought, and you guys can keep that nightgaurd. If its anything like the last 6 months of trays, it probably doesn't fit anyway~ **** ( Dr Andrews lied to his receptionist and told her I refused the nightgaurd, as to get me to sign the gag clause).. She had the space set up in a cozy manner with lamps and gentle music playing. Throughout each step she was communicative, careful, and attentive. I requested no numbing for a tooth being pulled - he pulled the majority of the tooth (the remainder of which later was flicked out by another dentist who didn't think I needed numbing at all), and proceeded to be emotionally/verbally abusive trying to force me into an injection. I will never return to this office, and I certainly would never dream of bringing my children here. If you're looking for a kind and decent dentist, steer clear of this office.

I called multiple locations and no one would accept my insurance , but more importantly no one could get me in for an appointment today. As soon as Emily answered the phone at Asheville dental , I knew my luck was changing . She was so sweet and sympathetic. She made sure to explain everything to me including costs, since my insurance is no good in North Carolina and she got me in for an appointment in the afternoon. They sent me a text with all the information and a link to my paperwork so I could fill everything out before I arrived. I made sure to get there early and the offices are warm and welcoming. I gave my name in the front and they checked me in. I was called back right at my appointment time. I explained my situation and Makayla was patient and understanding. She checked my teeth and took an x-ray and made sure to verify the cost with me. Dr. Powell came in to examine me and he was absolutely wonderful. He explained the issue and provided me with lots of options . He answered all of my questions and I left feeling super hopeful and incredibly relieved. Thank you to Emily and Makayla and Dr. Powell! I see now there is a ridiculous amount of what may be fictional reviews. No company or person has hundreds of positive reviews without a single negative. What a JOKE! I am leaving this review about Asheville Dental located at 10C Yorkshire St. 28803. Never in my life have I been cheated, tricked, lied to and abused like this from any professional or business. I am 74yr old senior citizen and was taken advantage of by the dentist Grant Dasher and Asheville Dental. I admit my wits aren't as alert as they once were but these people should be ashamed and their office investigated by the Health Dept. I received a certified letter telling me the work was completed and I was dismissed from Asheville Dental and should find another dentist for all future treatments. This is because they convinced me to pay the total amount even before the work was 25% (twenty-five percent) completed. I was lied to when I asked if he could give me straight white teeth and he said yes. A 3rd year dental student could do this but i received mostly straight and mostly white teeth and also how long this treatment would take. Dasher told me it will take approximately 12 to 14 weeks. It took 31 (thirty-one) weeks. Imagine being unable to eat without pain for 31 weeks. So unnecessary! Dasher told me he would refund the cost of 2 (two) crowns because he saw two of my teeth would not support crowns. I was reimbursed for 1 (one) crown and cheated out of the second. He tried to convince me he had given me $4000.00 (four-thousand dollars) worth of service for free. NONSENSE/RIDICULOUS! He never mentioned this until I requested my refund for the second crown. They refused to return my money. Another cheat and another lie! There is more I could say but my point has been made to let the public know to stay away from Asheville Dental. They are the most dishonest and untrustworthy office I have ever been in. One may ask why I stayed at Asheville Dental after being treated with such obvious disrespect and put through so much unnecessary pain and discomfort? As i mentioned before they had my money, paid in full. Sometime along week 22 (twenty-two) Dasher offered me a refund when I told him I had lost all trust and confidence in him and his work. His refund was a few pennies on the dollar. I told Grant Dasher to his face while looking into his eyes that he had "No Honor" he also has No Morals or Principles. In my opinion the biggest cheater and liar I've ever known. This explains why I had noticed there never seemed to be any patients in their lobby. Many visits I was the only person when I arrived and no one there when I left. As I was leaving their office for the last time I heard them laughing. Dasher and his small staff are a disgrace to the dental profession. I have no proof other than visual (what I observed) that on occasion he used instruments that were not sanitized. The bags that are used to sanitize were opened and wrinkly on other occasions there were no bags and wore no gloves at all. This could be "Very Dangerous." I get no satisfaction in leaving such a negative yet 100% truthful review. In my opinion they are not honest people and the public needs to know! The public should know and be made aware! Stay away ...
