An absolutely incredible, awesome and amazing experience with Dr. Deborah Koh!! Last summer, I was…read morefinally able to receive an official diagnosis for the extremely rare neurovascular disorder I've suffered with after over 28 years! I'm so extremely grateful to Dr. Koh for being so throrough, detailed, and meticulous with recording so much info for my chart & my case. I'll forever be eternally grateful to her for the official diagnosis so I could finally begin the first steps of applying for disability. She's highly knowledeable, compassionate, and is genuinely interested in helping her patients find the best solution possible for their ailments. She is a relatively young Dr., but somehow she knows more than doctors who are twice her age!! She graduated from med school from the University Toronto, which I feel is a great advantage because American med schools don't seems to teach hardly anything about super-rare diseases (at least not about the one that I have, which affects roughly 1 out of about every 100,000). If you feel that you're suffering from a rare disease & are hoping for some answers, Dr. Koh is by far the best, most knowledgeable doctor to go see. I spent nearly 30 years of going to specialists, only to be left without a single answer. All the other doctors would never listen & would all always blow me off, so after about ten years of trying, I gave up all hope for over 20 years regarding seeking help from specialists until it became critical for me to start seeking to apply for disability. Dr. Koh is the only doctor who I've ever seen who actually genuinely cares about helping me with my disease & who actually listens to me & who treats me with compassion, dignity & respect!! By far the best specialist I've ever seen, and I've seen my share of doctors off and on going way back to 1997!!

After starting the…read moremeds I called the office on March 9th and left a message with Tamarind notifying her that I wasn't feeling well after taking the meds and wanted to check on my blood work and to have the doctor return my call soon. No one returned my call. I called again later in the day and spoke with Tila who is not very knowledgeable and she took a second message for the doctor to return my call. On March 10th the doctor still didn't respond to my messages so I called again and spoke Crisida (name might be misspelled) I gave her the same message "I'm not feeling well and is my blood work normal". She left me on hold and then informed me the doctor was calling me on the other line but I never received a missed call. I waited about 20 minutes and call their office again and I spoke with a lady and didn't get her name but she's an older lady and I heard huffing and pudding attitude over the phone which is ridiculous but she informed me the doctor was supposively calling me again but Crisida failed to tell me that Dr. Abdelmasih was calling me from a blocked number which is fine but then I would need to adjust my phone settings. Third attempt the doctor finally called me and she seemed bothered because she was driving and her responses to my concerns were Uh huh okay. I'm a new patient with UTMB or wait I was a patient with this medical provider and I will medical treatment elsewhere. The staff members who answer your incoming calls need better training and Tila if she's a nurse then IDK why she couldn't answer any of my concerns regarding the medication.

So frustrating. He is so busy that you couldn't get an appointment with three weeks notice. Other…read moreyelpers say he takes walk in appointments, well not really you have to tell them your coming first, so it's not really "walking in." What they do if you need to be seen is tell you to come in at 10 am and wait to be "worked in," which every single time came at 1 pm on the dot! It is a guaranteed 3 hour wait. He was also was very spiteful. At the time my eyebrow was pierced and I was working on the Kemah Boardwalk, which with this combo brought a constant infection. On several visits I asked how to treat it and he just stared at it disgusted and gave me prescriptions for my other problems. He is very stingy with the antibiotics. I got a lot of "if this is still a problem in a week come back and I'll give you a prescription." Look I'm an adult that was working full-time and going to school at the time. I couldn't afford to wait it out and then have another co-pay for the same problem that he refused to treat in the first place. Add on to that another 3 hour bonding with a waiting room chair! Simply ridiculous!

I highly recommend him for any problem you might have. If we move away from League city, I can definately see myself making a journey back just to see him. Also, he's very handsome and intelligent. Finding a new doctor can be a challenge. Let's be honest. Finding someone that you are willing to…read moretell all of your physical ailments when some of them require you to disrobe is not always a comfortable situation. I recently made a switch to Dr. Zamora after my long-time Family Practice physician retired. I wasn't happy with who bought his practice so I started looking. Dr. Zamora does accept a wide range of health insurances. Of course, you need to call first and see if he accepts yours. I am not old enough to be on Medicare but I think he accepts it as well. The first time I came into see Dr. Zamora was for a physical. He did a very good job asking about my family history across many disease states. He covered it from head to toe. I was very pleased with him and the time he took to get to know my history. The second time I went to this office was because I was sick. Dr. Zamora has two PA's that help with his patient load. When I am sick, I just want to be seen. I really don't care if it is by him or by his Physician Assistant. I don't want to wait two days for an opening when I wake up sick. I want to be seen as soon as possible. That is what they did when I called early on a weekday. I told them I was sick and really needed to get in to see him or one of the PA's. Boom! I got in on the same day I called. As a matter of fact, it was within three hours of my phone call. As it turned out, it was a bacterial infection and I did need an antibiotic. I was pleased with the treatment I received. Bottom Line: Dr. Zamora is friendly and has good bedside manor. My personal experience has been very good when I am sick and need to be seen ASAP. I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Zamora for your family.
