I'm back! This is a followup to my review Oct. 24, 2025. My reverse shoulder replacement was very successful. The entire process the day of surgery was as anticipated thanks to all the preparation and information provided by Dr. Sohn and his wonderful staff. The only pain was the one day following the surgery. My "range of motion" recovery has been progressing well and better than anticipated. Overall, the experience could not have been more satisfying. read more

From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with pleasant smiles and felt welcomed. The office is clean and neat and everyone was helpful. The person taking my vitals was great, she understood how to make the visit go faster and for me to give the details to Dr. Sohn. I absolutely loved that I didn't have to say everything twice like at most locations. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sohn he really is the best upper limb doctor. He listened and although so far it is believed I have a very rare issue and more test will tell; he didn't make quick assumptions. Both dr Sohn and his pa Theresa are beyond fabulous. Very smart, caring. Down to earth people. Dr Sohn had done a few surgeries on my fingers and I have never had a problem. He goes out of his way to make sure all questions are answered and you are comfortable. I would highly Reccomended over and over again they were even amazing when I had to bring my 6year old niece to my apt with me. Dr. Sohn and his staff at Orthocare are the best! I saw Dr. Sohn following emergency surgery by another doctor which resulted in elbow joint replacement. Dr. Sohn was better at providing the after care I needed for which the previous surgeon was less proficient. In addition, a year later Dr. Sohn diagnosed a residual injury requiring rotator cuff and bicep tenodesis. I did not suffer any pain from this recent surgery, have no scarring and have increased range of motion and control my Left arm. read more

I had my rotator cuff surgery done at the end of July 2025. Fortunately, Dr. Sohn saw an additional problem during the surgery, so I ended up having two surgeries including a bicep tenodesis surgery at the same time. Dr. Sohn is a shoulder and upper limb specialist, so best that he is contacted should you have an issue with your upper limb! I was very impressed with the procedures and, I will tell you, it was a long, struggling road to recovery....but as was all normal for the time frame through these past 10 months. He and his staff were so caring and so patient with the stages of my recovery. The oversight during the recovery period is fabulous. If someone is struggling during PT, as this not only takes a physical toll on one, but an emotional one, as well..the last thing that they would want would be a cold or uncaring person during follow-up care. A special call-out to an amazing PA, Theresa Ho, who was there, as well, I felt every step of the way. I am so FORTUNATE that I chose Dr. Sohn and his equally amazing staff. Wow. I had A/C surgery back in 2017. Had a few concerns and Dr Sohn was very impressive. His expertise in shoulders is second to none. The staff was excellent and my appointment was prompt. So far so good. A week out of surgery and everything looks good. I must say I was very concerned about pain esp the 1st night because I had other shoulder replaced 6 yrs ago and it was the worst night of my life I won't name surgeon as he's retired anyway thankfully Before operation Dr Sohn explained in detail what was going to happen in a reverse shoulder operation. Brought both my parents to see Dr. Sohn for different issues (shoulder and arm). The care quality was exceptional. First, it was easy to make an appointment. In my mom's case, it was a lifesaver. She had fallen and broke her arm. After seeing a couple of doctors and getting tue needed care, we were desperate to have her be seen by a competent ortho since it had already been a week since her fall and she hadn't received any meaningful treatment. Dr. Sohn's practice accommodated us, and she was seen the same day. She was treated immediately and thankfully didn't need surgery. She just had her 2-month follow-up and is feeling great. Dr. Sohn's bedside manners are superb. He made my parents feel at ease despite the language barrier. They love him. His staff are also top-notch without exception. Dr Sohn did an OUTSTANDING shoulder replacement surgery. I have had absolutely no issues and experienced very little pain, even after surgery. Dr. Sohn did an awesome job with my bicep tendon tear injury. The day of the procedure, the surgery team provided excellent care to prep me for the surgery. I was concerned with the anesthesia regarding my heart condition and the after affects with my shoulder pain conditions due to the surgery. The nurses explained in detail the procedure and after affects clearly and their bed side manner was so good, I felt safe and secure before going under anesthesia. I am still going through healing since 8/25/23. I am probably 80% back to normal at this stage in the recovery process. I'm taking time with the full recovery on my arm tendons attached to my forearm bone. He has done both my shoulders over the last 2 1/2 years with one being 2 torn tendons on the left side and a complete reverse total shoulder replacement on the left side. Dr Sohn and his staff get 5 stars for a reason. I looked for the right surgeon for my shoulder replacements for years, and through all the orthos, Dr Sohn came shining through. I was right. The PTs always comment on what a good surgeon I must have had. My right shoulder done 2 years ago has full range of motion and zero pain. Finally had the surgery. Dr Sohn is five stars for reason. My shoulder was much worse than anticipated and repairs were quite extensive. After months of annoying pain in my elbow my PCP referred me to Dr. Sohn. Based of his through examination he was able to determine and make his clinical diagnosis.
