I also love George Carlin and they actually have multiple exhibits featuring him as well. As fun and informative as the exhibits were, I think the best thing about the center is it's interactive nature. After you pay admission, you create your own comedy profile, selecting the comedians and television shows and movies that make you laugh. Then they use that profile to help customize your interactive experiences throughout your visit. My personal favorite experience was playing Laugh Battle with my husband (I won of course) but you're basically sitting across from each other telling bad dad jokes until someone cracks. It was really fun. My husband liked the interactive prop section and the Gabriel Iglesias display with his VW. We also did some of our favorite comedic sketches together in the booth. You could easily spend a few hours here and not get bored. We had a great time.

In a nutshell, he served on the Supreme Court and was part of landmark decisions including Brown v Board of Education. He also was the Chief U.S. Prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials. His views on human and civil rights, constitutional law, and international law are still very relevant today. During the first part of our visit, a friendly and informative docent guided us around the mansion. Then we explored the remainder of the Robert H Jackson Center which covers his life and legacy. There was a film playing in the theatre and we sat down to watch the last 15 minutes of it. There was also a lower level which had an art exhibit on Nazi perpetrators. I really enjoyed the museum and found the exhibits thought provoking. I would love to attend an event here in the future.

Some of the exhibits upstairs included a furniture room, an upside down Christmas tree, a toy room, observation tower, Lucille Ball photographs, and more. Some of the exhibits on the lower level (basement) included an old kitchen, Swedish Roo, Underground Railroad information, and farming tools. The building has gone through a few name changes but in 1989 Lucille Ball gave the theater the honor of naming it after her. The theater is an actual working theater with various shows held throughout the year. Since the building was locked I was unable to go in and look inside but I noticed their Broadway lineup and it appears that they do put on good shows. The front of the building Is impressive and would be a fitting tribute for the queen of comedy. Located not far from the Lucy Desi museum in Jamestown, it is worth a visit just to see it.
