We had my 11 year old daughter's birthday here last weekend and it was such a great experience. The staff were kind and helpful! They are tumbling instructors and were able to help spot a couple of the girls in walk overs that they hadn't done in a while! Having the open gym for a few hours to play was so much fun! This is a fun gym with all the equipment you could ever ask for! I visited for open gym hours, and I played with rope, rolling mats, bars... (sorry, I'm not sure what the technical terms for these things are, haha). I also ran into a friend and worked on back-walks together, so that was fun! Will be back! read more

Rogue Athletics - Gymnastics Near Me - Farmers Branch, Texas

This review is for the birthday parties only. First the good, its a great space and the kids loved it - they had a blast. HOWEVER, there were a lot of downsides. First, communication was incredibly difficult. I don't think they have anyone actually in charge of birthday parties because I sent several emails that they just never responded to, etc. Second, I paid to rent out the entire gym for 2 hours (plus a 30 minute setup). When I got there to set up, a cheer team was still there so their stuff was all over the tables in the party room, etc. That wasn't a huge deal, as they asked them to move it and they did. But then, my party time came and went and the ENTIRE CHEER TEAM was still in the gym with hot flat irons and makeup "getting ready for a competition" - this is the gym that I paid to exclusively rent out. And I had 25 four year olds running back and forth through a bunch of cheerleaders doing their hair with hot tools. It was dangerous, incredibly rude, and not what I paid for. The two young coaches running our party did their best, but I don't think they felt like they could make the cheer team move. So they stayed there for nearly half my party, even staying for about 15 minutes after I very expressly told them they were in a space that I rented and they needed to move. There are tons of dance studios with mirrors and other spaces besides the gym (that I paid for) where they could have done their hair and makeup, so this was not a situation where kicking them out would have left them with nowhere to go. Overall, it was just additional stress that was completely unnecessary. I thought that Rogue would call me to collect the rest of the money and that I could express these concerns to them then, but no one ever did - they just ran my card. And of course, true to form, when I tried to call, they didn't answer. So I am leaving this review in the hopes that they fix their birthday party organization and make it clear to their cheer teams that when someone has rented space for exclusive use, that means it's not a good place to do your hair and makeup (I think that's pretty obvious, but I guess cheer moms don't). Without the organizational issues, this would be an awesome place for birthday parties and we would love to go back! But with the issues, we won't be. read more

We are new to the area and were looking for a place my daughter could continue her gymnastics progression. In our former city the gym was huge and many girls on the JO team. Coming to Rogue couldn't be more of a breath of fresh air!! Although small, the coaching is amazing!! We get more dedicated attention, the group of athletes is smaller and have a great bond!! The gym has open gym so the athletes have an opportunity to have fun at the same place they do so much hard work!! The gym has so many fun events and the vibe is great! We are excited to start the upcoming season!! Coach Keara and Coach Eric are the best!! read more

Initially we thought this was going to be a nice place. After a few months all that changed. Coach was late 90% of the time for $80 an hour privates. At times no coach was there for the class. There seems to be a 14 year old managing gym much of the time. The girls are given punishments for skills the coach feels they didn't do properly. Punishments were push ups & rope climbing for 6-7 year olds. Our coach was unable to spot the girls or perform any skills. Most of her time she spent talking to other coaches or watching her phone. The classes seem to be an inconvenience for the coach. The glass is heavily tinted in the viewing room so it's difficult to watch what's going on. The coach and manager frequently gossip about other parents, especially on the team. They seem to have lots of money issues about travel & coaches accommodations. I rarely have seen dirtier locker rooms & bathrooms. Sinks, toilets are always broken. I tried talking to the owner who lives in Puerto Rico & she could care less. This place embodies all the negative stereotypes & culture issues with gymnastics. The day we left, they hit our credit card for $600. If they had the right owner & management this could be a nice gym. It isn't. read more

We discovered Rogue athletics by accident during the pandemic. Coming from a much larger gym, we did not know what to expect. I have two junior Olympic athletes training at the gym and I can say nothing but good things about the place. The coaches are tough, but they spend time focusing on skills and attributes that will make the girls successful in the very difficult world that is competitive gymnastics. Conditioning is a focal point, and I cannot stress the level of importance in this, especially for higher level gymnastics and girls hoping to go elite or collegiate level. Conditioning includes rope climbs, core strength training etc. What I love most about this gym is the focus on each individual child. The coaches take time to isolate each individual gymnasts areas of improvement and really focus on targeting those areas while also allowing their strengths to shine through. My girls have improved by leaps and bounds and I can honestly say that moving to this gym was a great decision as they are well positioned now to continue down the competitive path to potentially reach college gymnastics. While some parents may not understand the demands of competitive gymnastics, the coaches here do and they offer flexibility in regards to additional training and schooling options once training hours increase. Additionally, there are several tracks for gymnastics that are offered. For the super dedicated, there's the junior Olympic program; for those kids that would like to compete but not spend 20+ hours at the gym, there is the Excel level; and for those kids wanting it to do it just for fun there's recreational gymnastics. The coaches and the parents form a great partnership and very effectively identify and support the best track for their athlete. For those who are looking for advanced, intermediate or recreational gymnastics, I would highly recommend this gym as it's definitely a hidden gem in my view. read more

My daughter had her birthday party here and I can't go on enough about how happy we were with the experience!!!! For starters, Bob and his staff are AMAZING with the children and work every second you are there to make sure things run smoothly! While they are running the party the parents are able to take pictures and enjoy the celebration b/c Bob and his crew literally handle everything. From setting up, to cleaning up, to loading your car. The gym is ULTRA-CLEAN. I have been to almost every gym in Dallas for a birthday party here and there and have never come across a location as clean and organized with a fresh and spacious party room! My daughter felt very special and the kids all had a blast! The best part was that the staff really engaged with our family and friends and they seemed to love what they do! It shows! Go Rogue!!!
