The older kids program looks great and I especially like the bell located in the middle of the gym that the gymnast gets to ring when they master a skill for the first time. Great motivation! I am particularly impressed with the Tiny Tots classes. That program is outstanding! I have a very shy and timid little girl that easily becomes clingy, but somehow Coach Ethan got her to join the class. She happily joins his classes, but I was interested to see what would happen on that one day he was not there. Other coaches quickly stepped up with encouragement and she joined her class. After the initial warmup to music the class divides into two groups and each goes to a different station or the trampolines before switching. Each station just looks like fun activities to the kids, but each 'fun' activity is designed to teach a very specific skill. Each 'fun' activity is first demonstrated by the coach, but big picture cues beside each piece of equipment also instructs. When the coach observes a child skipping a skill or not completing it correctly, they will assist or give extra instruction. I notice that the assistance is as minimal as needed since the goal is for them to achieve independence. The station's setup changes each week. After a class, the coaches often chat with a parent about a skill that was mastered or improved by their child. I have seen improvement in core strength, balance, stretching and confidence, to name a few.

At first she said nothing happened. Then she said she assisted him to time out. Then she said he fell off a table. I still have the pictures of the bruise on his back. It was a heartbreaking event. She was at 3 other gyms during her career. Her experience at Zenith has been wonderful. She is NOT the top of the podium, college scholarship gymnast, although she was State Vault Champion one year. She participated in gymnastics for the love of the sport. She has high functioning autism; her coaches and the owners took the time to understand her differences. They provided her with the clarity she needed to be the best she could be. When a teammate made fun of and began to bully her, the owner/head coach addressed it the moment I brought it to her attention. Zenith is the only gym where they took the time to understand my daughter. I can not put a value on the life skills she is taking with her; 1. Time Management; 2. Perseverance; 3. Dealing with Disappointment; 4. Respect; 4. Importance of Fitness; 5. Dedication; 6. Never Giving Up; 7. Functioning as part of a team; 8. And OK Beating the Crap out of anyone who challenges her to an arm wrestling contest I have been around the world of gymnastics for 15 1/2 years. I have learned quite a bit in that time. So, to address some of the negative comments: 1. The make-up policy and 30 day drop notice are well documented in the 'contract' everyone receives and signs upon enrollment. A 30 day drop notice is standard. Check other gyms in the area. There are sign-up sheets for make up classes posted on the front counter for recreational classes every month. There are limits on class size for the benefit of the students, so you can't just make-up anytime you want. 2. The bars and high beams are not used for birthday parties for safety purposes. Think about it. A 3 year old on a 4" piece of wood, 4' off the floor, even with 8" mats under them? Um, NO! 3. Insurance prohibits anyone from being on the gym floor without signing a waiver. There are signs on the doors to the actual gym clearly stating this. 4. There is always someone scheduled at the front desk. Sometimes that person has to run into the gym or is in the office that looks out on the front desk. The owners are not now, nor have they been blond in the 5 years my daughter has been at Zenith. Clearly, they were not the ones walking out the door.

I booked Golden Grip Gymnastics about six weeks before my son's 3rd birthday. They were so much cheaper than everywhere else in the area, but my husband and I checked out the gym when we put down the deposit so I felt confident that the kids would at least have fun if nothing else! I had planned to bring my own cake and have pizza delivered, and although GGG provides tablecloths, plates, napkins, etc., I brought my own because I wanted everything to follow the theme of the party. We had the whole huge gym to ourselves. The gymnastics area was a BLAST for the kids (especially the foam pit), and then Corbyn led a group dancing game and we took photos of all the kids together (a great idea and something I never would have thought of to do!). The GGG team took care of setting up, handling the kids, handing out pizza and cake, and cleaning up. Corbyn set everything up on the tables, but was totally cool with me rearranging some things in order to make room for the pizza.  My review is not doing justice to the amount of hard work the GGG team put in and how much fun the kids had. I could not give a stronger recommendation for Golden Grip as a birthday party venue. Such a great experience, and depending on my son's interests next year, we'll probably plan to be back!

Run by a former Olympian, she taught her the basics and seemed to break it all down in a way my niece would understand. I had the privilege to observe a couple of classes in a great holding area for the parents and visitors. They have all the equipment you'd expect in a world-class gymnastics space, I almost wanted to go out there and do some of it myself but couldn't upstage those starry-eyed kids! As I understand it they also train the older kids who are Olympic hopefuls and have garnered some major awards in the various competitions across the state. As I understand it, gymnastics is HUGE in Texas so it makes perfect sense a place like this exists!

One girl slapped my daughter on the behind 3 classes in a row, another student. Multiple students would cut in front of my daughter when lining up to do activities causing my daughter to miss out on turns. This was not corrected by any of the multiple instructors. Girls interrupt instructors and it takes up valuable class time. I am not satisfied. I notified them of my cancellation after class tonight and Linda told me I would not receive a refund for my December tuition. I would like the owner to make things right by refunding me and an apology would be kind. I feel my complaint was not taken seriously by Linda and I was offered no apology. As someone who took dance for 18 plus years I have never seen anything like this cartwheel class. Completely out of control, a complete disappointment and waste of money.

Parking is quite accessible, and the people excepting money for admission were very pleasant; seating was rather deplorable as we were forced to sit on hard planks of wood that you would expect from back in the 70's ; steel posts were right in front of several of us in the viewing gallery and the video screen for the scoring was absolutely unacceptable! The lights could've been dimmed so that the screen could have been seen from us in the seating area and there was only one loud speaker in the entire facility. The dancing routines could've been amplified in order to get the crowd going, but no, not at this place... just loud enough so that the young ladies could hear their routine while doing their floor exercise. I would encourage patrons of this facility to take advantage of the Wi-Fi because the building is made of metal and simply blocks out any way of getting any decent phone reception. A few simple tweaks, and this place could really be a nice facility for gymnastics .
