I have to agree with the other 1 star reviewers below. Super rude staff with essentially no compassion for anyone. Don't go here.

Incompetent ! Called Dec 6 to schedule an appt.with Dr. Mayer, Urology Dept. Was told the earliest…read moreI could be seen was Feb. 15. TWO MONTHS ! I made the appt since he's the only urologist in G.P. on Feb 7 got a letter remindng me of my appt on April 11. I thought this was a typo error so I called them and was told they decided to reschedule me because Dr. Mayer was busy and the only urologist in G.P. They had never called me during my 2 month wait to to inform me of this or about rescheduling an appt. They just sent me a letter and indicated some date I had not approved. I'm sure they sent the letter because they were too embarrassed to call me and acknowledge their stupidity and incompetence. Had my doctor refer me to urology group in Medford and was told I could get in there in about 2 weeks (not 2 months ! ) Avoid Dr. MAYER !!,

Since Asante apparently has succeeded in getting Yelp to delete my previous review of Asante…read moreUrology Physician Partners, I'll repeat an overview of that review. Do not use this clinic as a source to remediate your urological needs. It has poorly planned, poorly staffed, poorly executed patient relations. The fact this supposed "5-Star" corporation was successful in having a negative review deleted tells me the review didn't meet the expectations it is expecting to maintain. It should tell you something when the clinic can't even retain one full-time resident Urologist. Just go somewhere else. If this review gets deleted, I'll just use word-of-mouth to discourage others. Guaranteed.

He was the only urologist willing to accept CMSP within a 300 mile radius (which was the only…read morehealth coverage I had at the time). I was glad that he was gracious enough to accept it, and also found him to have a fairly pleasant "bedside manner". However, I had 3 issues with him. The first issue is that he seems to have a limited knowledge of interstitial cystitis (and it would also cause me to wonder about his expertise in other areas of urology as well). Even though he has years of experience in the field, he seems to be pretty rigid on things and lacks any interest or info on current research (ie. old school). My second issue was that he discussed hardly any treatment options with me, and seemed married to the same treatment (thus offering me little hope). He ultimately seemed unwilling to talk too in depth with me at all (no eye contact either, which is a pet peeve of mine. My input was quickly dismissed too). My last issue with him was that when I attempted to go back to him after some months because I was desperate for some type of pain/disease management he refused to treat me any longer because he had changed his mind about accepting my CMSP coverage. I was advised to return when I had better coverage (ie. individual/private healthcare). I was refused even though I let him know that I was in a great amount of pain and discomfort. I was truly disappointed. It's difficult to find a doctor who doesn't view you as a dollar sign. I was hoping Dr. Davis would be different, unfortunately that wasn't the case. Just a word of caution to any new patients. (On a brighter note, however, at least his staff is very friendly.)

I dont mind an antagonistic bed side manner, but it came across as just not caring.

I was admitted late in the evening, so I did not see Dr. Jones until the next morning. When he came into my room, he was extremely curt, nearly to the point of rude. He then tells me there was a mass shown on my CT, but when I ask what it is, he has no idea. I ask about what we should do to check it, he says nothing. If it is of no worry, why mention it to me? He really didn't answer any of my questions, just saying that they are keeping me another night and he is leaving town... Fast forward to the next morning, and this is why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1, Dr. Brett Schulte and his resident, Dr. Mark Thomas came into my room, and while they still did not know what the mass was, he reassured me that it was nothing cancerous, and that he was going to have me follow up with a urologist to further investigate it. In the end, they never did figure out the source of my abdominal pain, and it has not gone away. If you need a surgeon in this community, go to Asante Physician Partners. I switched to Dr. Aaron Martin, who is absolutely wonderful, and has been making sure that everything is checked and wants to find out what is actually wrong.
