Dr Duval was the surgeon who performed the prostatectomy. I was 56 then . Apprehensive is an understatement Dr Duvall performed the DaVinci Robotic surgery. How a few years later I can say honestly I am so glad I went to him. He is awesome. I would recommend him 100% to anybody in same diagnosis . Went into the clinic for a cystoscopy, a rather intimate and scary procedure if you've never had it done before. Dr. Bryan was curt, impersonal, not congenial in a way that made me feel comfortable with having her handle my urologic health. Unlike the best doctors I've experienced, the appointment was rushed and cursory. She asked no questions and didn't make any attempt to connect with me and my concerns. I waited for over an hour to see the doctor for what I consider substandard care. The procedure was unsuccessful and painful, and I left the clinic in pain, with difficulty urinating, which lasted for days. And she suggested surgery, without any real discussion of what that would entail. Considering all that I had experienced, I decided to pass. I recognize that this clinic is busy and overbooked (there are very few good urologists in Southern Oregon, none in Grants Pass!) but my suggestion is, if you cannot find more qualified urologists, lighten your patient load. Note to doctor: Patients want healthcare that recognizes not just medical needs, but the human element as well. Be better. UPDATE: A few days after I left this review - which they asked me to fill out - the clinic notified me that they would no longer provide service to me. REG FLAG'S EVERYWHERE Office Staff Not kind or understanding to new patients. I felt forced to schedule a surgical operation, without even meeting the Dr. They tried to justify this as being SO busy. They pressured me by saying if I didn't do it then, it would be MONTHS before I could be seen. No patient should every feel forced or discouraged when needing a medical operation. They cancelled my appointment via mail and never called or followed up to reschedule. They called my primary care Doctor to tell them I had been " blacklisted " and not welcome to reschedule. I had no idea a doctor's office would " blacklist " someone for missing an appointment. NO MEDICAL OFFICE should have a " black list " When I called the office to get an explanation, I was told this was " policy " and they are not willing to reschedule. A policy that was never communicated or explained when making the appointment. They have hidden reviews on Facebook, and I assume all the other places where people can voice their concerns. If being clear communication and treated with respect are important to you, I do NOT recommend this Rogue Valley Urology. read more

When I was first referred to RVU I wasn't completely dissatisfied. My condition required a surgical procedure which was performed by Dr. Balak (no longer with the practice). Fast forward a year and a half and when I went to see my doctor I was told he was no longer with the practice and Imwould be seeing Susan Bernardo who is not a medical doctor but instead, a Physicians assistant. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with with seeing. A PA but SUSAN BERNARDO IS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT! She has prescribed medication that is nothing less than lethal with my coexisting conditions and counter interactions with drugs I'm already taking. All this to take a drug that has NO therapeutic benefit to me whatsoever. This was done without a diagnosis for my condition. we called the office to complain the same day and havent heard back from them in a week. Dr. Bryan and the entire staff at Rogue Valley Urology were incredibly kind and professional. I went in for a vasectomy and was pretty nervous. The Dr. and her assistant made my procedure as comfortable as possible, and were able to calm my nerves from the moment they entered the room. It's hard not to feel vulnerable and exposed during a vasectomy, but I was made to feel more like a friend than a patient, and that will never be forgotten. The procedure was surprisingly quick and effortless, and I'm healing perfectly; no pain or discomfort at all. If you're considering a vasectomy, I would be hard-pressed to recommend a better group than Dr. Bryan and her team. An absolutely amazing bunch! read more

Arrived for my appointment and was asked if I had the paperwork they sent me! I explained I did not receive any paperwork! Although I do not recall receiving any which I find tone totally irrelevant. They explained they would have to re-schedule my appt. I do have a mouth and I assume they have have ears that are capable of understanding the English language. I could have completed said paperwork. They have zero compassion for the customer and could careless how your life is interrupted by this. I do not recommend this Urology group to anyone. I had my last and final appointment with Rogue Valley Urology in Medford, Oregon on Monday, September 13th, 2021. I not only will never ever return there again, but now remain totally estranged, alienated, and isolated from them! Reason: Until Monday morning September 13th, 2021 I had fairly positive reaction with RVU in Medford. Not anymore! I arrived an hour and a half early and got processed in to see Dr. Kadi Ann Bryan. With the initial check in and processing with her Dr. Bryan's two medical assistants everything went to Hell in a handbasket! Upon noticing a bed bug on my person both medical assistants announced my appointment was canceled. This really upset me as I drove at least 100 miles from Merrill, Oregon to arrive on time, actually arriving early. I even had my prescribed meds with me and blood results sent over from Interpatch of Klamath Falls, Oregon. One of the medical assistants told me I had to leave. Again....to say was irate and upset is an understatement! People I mentioned this to in Klamath County agree this was a vile, odious and damnable way to be treated! Upon checking my mailbox today Thursday, September 16th, 2001 inside the Merrill, Oregon post office I receive a letter from Rogue Valley Urology by Dr. Kadi Ann Bryan mentioning they will no longer provide medical service to me. This letter further adds to the resentment, ill will, and estrangement I have towards Rogue Valley Urology. I had an excellent experience with the after hours answering service and on call Physician. This wasn't quite and emergency situation but there were some symptoms that I felt needed urgent attention. Dr. Booie(spelling) was on call and promptly returned my phone call. He listened to my needs and concerns and gave clear and to the point instructions. I saw Dr Bui for my vasectomy. Let me just say I was extremely nervous going in having someone mess with the crown jewels. He was extremely professional quick and painless. My experience with Rogue Valley Urology was entirely positive. I found the front office staff personable, professional and extremely helpful. Since this was a VA referral I needed a letter confirming my scheduled appointment had been met. This was done expeditiously. My consultation with Dr. Bryan went smoothly and I was very comfortable working with her. I fully expected to be scheduled for an implant procedure; however, Dr. Bryan proffered some less invasive alternatives. We'll see how they work. If the surgical approach is indeed necessary I feel very comfortable having Dr. Bryan perform the procedure. read more

" He said, he came to that conclusion just from some Previous Lab Work ",, that my Dad did at his Primary Dr. office.. They scheduled my Dad back to Have a Prostate Biopsy and a Stomach Scope.... " which was Extremely Painful for him ",, they didnt put him out for these procedures,, They only gave him 2 Ativan Tablets to Take Prior to these Tests... Was referred here by an ER Dr. When I called to make an appointment, the guy who took my call was very pushy about paying for the visit ahead of time over the phone. When I showed up, i noticed a guy in the back office room stop and stare at me for a good minute. I thought "whatever" he's just unprofessional. I saw Dr Bryan and she explained to me how I had a large kidney stone and that she'd probably need to operate twice to get it out. I was ok with whatever had to be done but I was there for painful symptom relief and she gave me a new antibiotic (told me to stop keflex from ER visit). There was a woman behind the desk who ignored me a good while until Dr Bryan pointed it out for her to "Sit up" and help me. That employee looked like she could've cared less that I was there, standing and in pain. My symptoms seemed to worsen the next 2 days so I called her office and her nurse said that I had a different condition than what the prescription was for and that it sounded like IC. She told me to drink water and wait it out. I did what she said but by the end of the week I was in so much pain that i called again, desperate, and that rude guy Jeff answered this time. I asked to speak to a nurse and he wanted to first know what it was about. I said "IC" and he annoyingly answered "Well! I don't know what that is?!" So I said "Yea. Give me the nurse please." He put me on hold for the longest time only to come back on the line and tell me "The nurse said she's just going to tell you what she told you yesterday." I couldn't believe it. I'm searching for a new Urologist and hope to god that people see this and all the other bad reviews of this clinic. I even tried emailing the office admin but the email address on their website is not working?? This place is a joke. I wish Dr Bryan had made an effort to figure out what my true condition was instead of putting me on a prescription for something else and ended up making the pain worse. read more

Yesterday I saw Dr. Bui for a cystoscopy because my doctor had a concern about the possibility of having bladder cancer due to radiation treatment nine years ago for prostate cancer. I told Dr. Bui the doctor at Rogue Valley Urology that I had a reconstruction of the urinary tract done after a radical salvage procedure four years ago which allowed me to urinate normally. I was concerned about this procedure when I arrived at Rogue Valley Urology and I should have declined the procedure right then and left. The doctor put a camera inside my penus and attemped to shove it up me in which time I had lots of pain during this procedure and told him I was in pain. He finally stopped the procedure saying that I have to much scar tissue for them to continue. Dr. Bui said that they would have to give me a local and then attempt to inflate that area so they could check to see the bladder for cancer. He said the side effects could include full incontinence after the procedure or the closing up of my urinary tract due to increased scar tissue that may then require surgery. This doctor said that I probably did not have bladder cancer and if I did not have this next procedure, he stated right to my face something like In a year in a half if you are bleeding a lot and have bladder cancer, you can't sue me or try to sue me because you did not take this procedure". Why would he be bringing up being sued by me or a law suite by me if I don't take this procedure? This is not the way to communicate to patients. Now I have complications due to the doctor trying to force a camera up me while I expressed lots of pain during this procedure. I was now bleeding after this procedure and I leak more. What he said was horrible and unprofessional to say that to a patient. When will these types of doctors learn bed side manners and to speak more positive to their patients. I had a cancer doctor here in medford tell me to my face and in front of my wife that I was chemically castrated and will never have sex again so now I go to OHSU for treatments. Insensitive and verbally abusive behavior by doctors needs to be addressed and fixed. I will not be going in to have this procedure because I do not want to hinder my current quality of life which is now more messed up after this not good procedure. I had surgery from these people and when I woke up, nothing. No post operative instructions. The doctor was gone and I had nothing to go home with. No instructions on how to treat my incision or when I could start to shower again. Absolutely nothing to go on. When do I have an appointment again? Now I have a rash, pain, swelling. These people are the most unprofressional doctors I have ever met. Just get the money and run. I called my doctor's office about the complications and they said go see the urologist that did the surgery. What the heck! These people left me hanging and now I may have an rash, you think they care? Update: They called the following week and scheduled a follow-up for the next month. They said the rash could be normal? The pain and swelling are normal, but they would see me. The post operative instructions arrived in the mail after one week, signed by a nurse that indicated thay gave them to me in person at the hospital when I left (liars). My doctor was great but the wait was too long considering the amount he charged. Then when I called the billing office to set up a payment plan, no one called me back x 3. I sent in a $100 payment with a note to please call me. Still no one called. When it I got my next bill, the $100 wasn't showing so I called and asked to speak to a supervisor. The gal I spoke with was no supervisor! I ended up paying the bill in full just so I didn't accidentally get sent to collections then I went to urology associates to have my surgery.
