I give a low star only be cause my husband is fighting cancer…read more His Dr. is out for awhile. My husband had chemo mouth sores and wasn't able to swallow any pills. Water was hard enough. He lost 13 lbs in a week. So my rating is because his cancer Dr. recommended his primary Dr. at least make his seizure medicine liquid. We didnt want seizures in the mix of everything else this poor guy is having to go through. They refused the liquid cause he has never had it before, well he has always been able to swallow too. Providence I can say is an amazing place for treatment, however the treatment my husband needs while going through cancer with a fill in Dr. Hasn't gone so well

This was my first time going to this provincial center and the last, a man attended me at the front…read moredesk of the emergency room as soon as I asked him if I was in the emergency area, I had never been there and I was coming from a head injury, he just made fun of me with his mocking smile and sarcastically answering me, then I told him I was coming from an accident and if he could see me here, I politely asked him for another person to help me in my language and mocking me again he said the person is not there but I will put the computer for you, I answered him fine but the truth is his attitude was already bothering me, these people who have no empathy should not be there nor did they show professionalism or any of the values they talk about on their page, I don't know if these people are racist or not, I don't know what he was making fun of but I do not recommend this person at all, at the end he asked me for my SSN when I read the papers and it clearly says that I do not need it to make an employer claim (accident at my job) I felt very bad treated and I sympathized with this person. He is thin with brown eyes and brown hair.

FiNALLY, I have a PCP that listens and is pointing me in all the directions I need to go…read more Thankfully, I'm in good health generally, but there have been some annoying, indistinct things bothering me, making diagnosis challenging. I've been to 3 different NON-Providence clinics only to be treated badly, taken off course and basically sent on wild goose chases. I can't imagine what it's like for seniors (or anybody) who have serious health issues to get treated in this valley ... !?! NOW, I have Vashti Ivey, FNP, as my PCP and she is ON IT!!! Not only is she detail-oriented and savvy about what she's doing, she is kind and care-taking. She smiles and has a sense of humor!!! I haven't had a PCP that fits that description in the 10 years I've lived here. I must also acknowledge the check-in/check-out staff and the medical assistants, too. They have all been so kind and comfortable to work with! Vashti's referrals have led me to consultations and information that have put me on track and righted the wrongs I've dealt with for the last 3 years, especially! I have been under so much stress that seemed to be a vicious circle, but Vashti referred me to Dr. Bravo for some stress management. Another brilliant solution that after just TWO short sessions, i've learned things that are extremely helpful for my specific issues AND for my whole life. The latter info is in regards to my SPS trait -- Sensory Perception Sensitivity. It's a natural trait that unfortunately NO OTHER medical professional that I've seen in these last 10 years was even familiar with!!! ALL medical professionals should be aware of this natural trait since upwards of 20% of the population has it and it colors your whole life! Having medial pros who listen and aren't dismissive of details is like winning the lottery! Another big ticket win was when I was referred to the main Providence Medical Plaza to have a swallow test done. That was fine by me since I'd had two terrific surgical experiences in that building when I had my knees replaced. After that test I discovered an issue that all the other practitioners had basically dismissed, didn't see in the imaging or just failed to give me the details - Unbelievably UNPROFESSIONAL. The test facilitator, Julie Mondz-Kleinman, gave me a myriad of information that was like a light bulb being switched on -- no make that a FLOOD light! Now, thanks to my Providence Team, I'm on track and can deal with all the little annoying "glitches" my body has with ease and a sense of confidence that I'm just fine. A HUGE burden lifted off my shoulders, and I'm immeasurably grateful!!!

He did an outstanding job surgically but the medication aftercare was atrocious. It was the most painful recovery. Be prepared with your primary to get pain meds after surgery here. Otherwise I would recommend this place.

[Sept, 2019] Dr. Bengard came to my recovery bed, after a trauma surgeon/butcher had done emergency…read morerepair to my left hand and wrist, (damaged in a power saw accident) and said ***"I can fix that"***. He looked like a puppy expecting a treat. He added he had a cadaver nerve to use. He had to say it twice because I was pretty drugged. He seemed honest so I agreed to see him but surgery on the 19th was delayed because my heart went into afib and the anesthesiologist freaked just before surgery started. (afib stabilized after 2 days, they didn't give me my heart medicines while I was there until I told them I needed them!) After my heart had a normal rhythm my cardiologist released me for surgery on the 25th. Dr. Bengard put me in his PT area the next day. I now would have chosen VA care had I been aware it was available. They deal with these kind of injuries all the time. Anyway, he charges a lot for therapy and my therapist didn't even have a working electro-stim device. Batteries were dead. She couldn't get it work after she changed the batteries. Wasting my treatment time. She was nice but seemed pretty new to the field. She even charged me $200 for a finger splint I could buy online for $50! I made very slow progress until I had to stop going when COVID hit. Only 6 months. I never got a call to check if I wanted to restart later. So, anyway, Bengard said he would fix it and here, almost 6 years later, with ongoing nerve-shocking in my hand, and it's half-numb,on 1500mg gabapentin and 2000mg acetaminophen for the pain daily, for the rest of my life, I have APE-HAND because he didn't reattach the tendon that allows me to move my thumb and I never am without some pain, even masked by drugs. I don't think he knew how to fix it and he didn't. He should've had a neurosurgeon do the implant, if it was even done. So I'm done with SOO unless they have a better doctor.
