    Lazy River area

A decent, much needed addition to Medford. This review is solely for the aquatics area. The kids had fun on the 2 slides and lazy river but moved on to the lap pools after about 1/2 hr. 1st timers here, but long time tax payers... would've like to have seen more to do for kids 11 and up. Seemed to be super popular with elementary level kiddos. It's just hard to stomach the price tag taxpayers paid while still paying entry to a mediocre, modern facility. Would've been great if it were more along the lines of Wings and Waves in McMinnville- 4 huge slides, big wave pool AND play structure, whirlpool etc. (something for all ages there). Either way it is what it is since they filled in Hawthorne pool and shut down Jackson pool (both of which had awesome diving boards at least, lol). Just kinda MEH here...

The Rogue Credit Union's ROGUE X is an amazing spacious indoor sports complex. First of all. One half of the complex has eight (8) Basketball / Volleyball and Pickle Ball courts. It also has several party and meeting rooms The other half has two (2) massive swimming pools. The recreation pool has two water slides and a lazy river I enjoy going to the 13 lane Olympic lap pool My insurance pays for a membership for me to try to keep in shape so instead of me going to a gym I got a monthly senior pass to Rogue X and the insurance company pays for it. I can use the facility almost every day of the year but My goal is twice a week. There is plenty of free parking and the locker rooms/ restrooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. Prices vary depending on where you live your age and if you get a family or individual pass. This is a wonderful addition to the Rogue Valley Southern Oregon area

Amazing and new facility that accommodates everybody in the family. The Olympic pool is perfect for lap, swimming and other activities. The family pool is dynamite for all ages. Staff is super helpful.

    Water Slides, play structure

I took my children for a daytime open swim time in the activity pool. The activity pool room was quite warm, creating a comfortable temperature to swim in. The pool was also a comfortable temperature, I'd estimate about 86°. The lazy river was the warmest area of the pool. My friend enjoys swimming laps and said the lap pool is not as warm as the activity pool. The activity pool consists of a beach entry with gentle-consistent geysers, perfect for toddlers. The shallow area includes a play structure with side-by-side racing slides that are appropriate for young kids and yet wide enough for adults to play with their kids. The beach entry deepens to a seemingly max depth of 3' and includes a lazy river. Inner tubes are provided to float down the lazy river, as well as swimming. The lazy river branches into a separate gentle whirlpool, lined with seats, to rest in the pool temp while the water current gently circulates in a counter-clockwise direction. The activity pool area also has two larger water slides with a 48" height requirement. There is a curvy slide and is surprisingly pitch black. The other slide is a steep drop, but it's the perfect height to be thrilling yet too short to get scared and also the slide has a nice padding treatment so it's a more comfortable ride. Life jackets and pool noodles are also provided poolside. My children brought a football, which the lifeguards welcomed them to throw in the pool. The lifeguards were kind and helpful, and appropriately enforced a no climbing on barriers separating sections, but otherwise didn't blow whistles nor yell, creating an environment we could relax and enjoy.

Fun time but the lifeguards are out of control

Their roughly two acre garden is full of beautiful flowers and trees (see the pictures!) and the perfect escape from city life. It's paradise and I highly recommend anyone to stay there who is looking for a beautiful getaway near Ashland and its surrounding areas. The owner's, Annette and Brian, are wonderful hosts and pour their heart and soul into the place. They are extremely friendly and their hospitable touches are everywhere. The spacious studio, which is actually more like a one bedroom, is nicely arranged with books, local information, and decorations. They provide all the morning necessities like coffee, tea, and breakfast food. You'll feel right at home! On the property, there is also a very quaint wine tasting room that is leased by the winery adjacent to their property called Pebblestone Winery. The wine is very good, but it's the setting and hospitality that will make your trip memorable. Apparently, they can host weddings, a wondeful place for a special event. Wisteria is perfectly located to reach the surrounding area. It's an easy 10 minute drive to downtown Ashland. The drive to historic Jacksonville is about 15 minutes drive through some amazing, rolling vineyards. My only regret about writing this review is letting my secret out. I'm sure next time I go I will need to book months in advance.

TO BE CLEAR, THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH- My family and I went to Mother's Day brunch…read morefor the first time. I'll start with the pros: The scenery and views are beautiful. The music stage and grassy area looked lovely. The cons: The food was just ok. It was ala carte, pricey and you had to order it at the counter and then pick it up and take it to your table, also bus your table when finished. So basically they had no host, server and one guy bussing if he had to. We had to find where our reserved table was ourselves. The tables and chairs were plastic with no table cloth so it felt undressed and unthoughtful. We had to search for salt and pepper on other tables and every table didn't have them. We asked for ketchup and the guy said he would look for some when he wasn't busy. He did finally slap a big bottle down on the table well after we were finished. Normally on any other day, I wouldn't have a problem serving myself but it was Mother's Day. I did not want to do all that. I hope for them in the future, they make the Mother's Day Brunch better staffed and thoughtful for the mothers and families who come. Perhaps, instead of their usual food service style, they could alter it to make it feel less self service on Mother's Day. We gave it a try and we won't be going back for Mother's Day.

A great selection of hot and cold options. The bar/restaurant/pool all closed at 10 pm so this place is more family friendly than the name might suggest. Amber who checked us in had a personality and made checking in a pleasure. The pool area was beautiful, the whole property was spotless. There even was a casino full of slot machines across the parking lot with a driving range attached. Pretty epic. Like a one stop shop resort. I was there for work so I could not enjoy many of the amenities as I was too busy. But I am thinking about coming down for a weekend and just hanging out there. Food at the restaurant was good, the free breakfast had many different choices, and was decent quality. The rooms were nice and spacious, my only qualm was the shower had zero pressure. Like I said. I am pondering on flying all the way from Seattle just for a weekend of relaxation there. Literally one stop shop for everything!

The exterior needs to be pressure washed and there are numerous repairs in the walls that are incomplete (think patches in wall with putty but they never patched the wallpaper). The pillows in our double queen room were small and mismatched. All were lumpy, some fluffed like feather pillows and others simply flattened. The bathroom had the toilet and shower with needed towels but the sink was actually in the main room. There was a second sink by the fridge and coffee pot, making it clear one was for hygiene and the other for dishes or similar. There was a table and lamp between the beds with 2 plugs. By the window was a desk and chair in there was also a large tv. With some effort we managed to turn on YouTube and set it to a dog station while we got dinner. We confirmed that we were permitted to leave our dogs in the room while we were on the premises. We ate at Chadwick's and enjoyed everything. We sat at the bar. I had a pair of lemon drops recommended by the bartender (I think they included rose water simple syrup) and they were delightful. We found the other customers and bartenders congenial company. The food was surprisingly good. I had steak frites with some mighty fine brown gravy and the husband had a cheesy chicken and macaroni dish he enjoyed with such gusto I thought he would lick the bowl clean. They had a green space marked for pets and they had level 2 EV charging available. It was near the freeway. It did the job decently, and if it wasn't so clearly needing a restoration to a better version of itself, I would have an easier time reviewing it. Between the good and the not so good, I think 3 stars.
