This place has so much potential but they don't manage it well. No floor guard and kids are going everywhere. It's a Saturday night and it's full of little ones with skate mates running in the wrong direction and left to right. I went and talked to them at the front seat their reaction was sorry. Come on that's a horrible response. Not let me get on the mic and try and fix the craziness that's going on. People get hurt because of this. It's been this way the whole night too. I recently bought roller skates so I wanted to try them out at a rink. This skating rink is the closest one to my house so I decided to give them a try. This place opens at 2:00 PM on Sundays so I decided to drop by at 2:00 PM to beat the crowd. Y'all...there were quite a few folks there. I was surprised to see so many people. Parking was easy. My admission was a bit lower because I had my own skates. It was $10 per person for my husband and kids. There were 3 birthday parties so that might be why there were that many people there on a Sunday. The inside looks like the skating rinks I went to as a kid, which was fine with me. My main goal was to skate so I could break in my new roller skates. I was pleasantly surprised by the music selection. It was a good mix of old and new school music. It was very family friendly. I didn't try any of their food or visit the restrooms so I can't speak on how those things. There were a lot of kids here. I'm going to have to check to see if they have an adult skate night because I did have to watch out for the little ones, but it wasn't too bad. Skating rinks should have a night for people that work until 6pm to 8pm. If one or two nights during the week were open for adults to go when it's not busy but they can skate a couple of hours it would be great!!!! You could have one night for adults/older teens single and couples night that they can skate until 10 or 11pm. There is no place for the adults to go skating inside. I'm single as are many people I know and we don't want to go to bars or just to dinner. We need/want an activity we love doing. Skating is pretty much all we did when we were younger. I know I'm not the only person that wants this. Others that work at offices, police dept., fire dept., and hospitals, etc. need and want this as well. Think about either doing this or extending a night or two monday through Thursday for those of us that need that time to unwind and have fun. I purchased a Groupon for $22 which included skating/skate rental for 4, a pizza, and a pitcher of soda. Skating rinks haven't changed much since I was a kid in the 80's. Same lights, same tan skates, and same carpet. We turned in our shoes for skates, and found a locker for $0.50. The rink was quite crowded but the staff did a great job of keeping traffic flowing in the correct direction, and keeping the little ones from being trampled by the big kids. The snack bar was cash only. Our Groupon included a warmed up frozen pizza which my kids decided looked terrible. The drinks are Pepsi products. They have a limited number of arcade games where you win tickets to trade in for prizes. It's largely the same crap you'll find at Chuck E. Cheese, and makes your kids freak out and beg for quarters. read more

My kids love going here, but beware the changing "dress code." There were clearly people skating that had on more "inappropriate" clothes than her, but she was singled out. We will keep going here, but only because of the convenience. Also, a word for the owners. If you really want to enforce a dress code, provide clear guidelines both online and in clear view upon entry to the building. read more

*Pinches self* Is this the twilight zone? Did I wake up in the 80s? Why does my phone say "No Service"? Is there even Wi-Fi? Nope. Did I mention cash only? Everything about this skating rink screams 1980s- from the carpet, to the skates, to the lights, and the entire decor. It's like a renovation has never been done. If retro is your thing, then come here. Personally, I prefer a fusion of retro lights with modern upgrades. There are some arcade games if you didn't come to skate. There is also a concession stand that serves Pizza, corndogs, pretzels and other snacks. The health score is 100, but honestly, I would eat before coming here. There's a party space if you're looking into having a skate party. The music is diverse. While in here, I've heard music from 70s onward. The skates aren't the most comfortable. They're pretty old and it doesn't look like they upgrade them often. The restroom is clean enough to use, which is good since kids have to go every five minutes. read more

Thank you so much Brianna, we basically experienced top-notch service from the Manager of Roller Motion and her Crew in the kitchen and out on the floor, for my daughters 7th Birthday this past weekend. We were taken care of with the best service for a skating rink by far today. Also, everything was a little older, yeah. But it was an awesome time portal for my not to mention i found out my young un was able to skate and never even put em in skates before!! I can't say enough about this place! We had Keagans 7th bday party here on Saturday 2/20/16 & it was awesome! Everything you get for the price of the party is fabulous! It was clean & well maintained & everyone had a great time! All of the employees were extremely nice & helpful. The owner was out of this world! Super sweet! Keagans best friends mother booked her 8th bday party with then for March before we even left! Needless to say we will be back & have more parties here. & will rave to other parents!! read more

If I could leave a lower ranking I would. The owner of Roller motion skate center treated my ADULT friends and I like we were children. She was very disrespectful and rude toward us because our clothes were not approving. Apparently you can not wear mid drift shirts there even if you are 30 years old. I was also wearing a jacket which i politely told the lady i would zip up. She preceded to tell me like I was 12 that I would just unzip my jacket once I got inside. She told me i had to buy a shirt and put it on infront of her in the lobby if I was going to enter her skating rink. So not even knowing me the lady assumed I was not going to keep my word and keep my jacket zipped up then had to further demean me by making me buy a shirt and put it on in front of her so I could skate. I WILL NEVER go back to this skating rink. If we all had not rode in one car to go I would have left but I did not want to ruin the night for my friends but the owner certainly did put a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention she also made my friend lift her arms up and down to make sure her mid section did not show either and then asked her how old she was. She is 31 by the way. Honestly we were all just trying to get out and have a little fun skating since it is a past time we wanted to remember. I could understand her logic had she been a bit more polite about how she talked to us and not forced me to buy a shirt while calling me a lier. NEVER in my life have I had an owner of an establishment whom I was giving business to treat me this way. -1 review in my book. read more
