Terrible customer service. Wanted to pull my hair out dealing with them. The woman who measured our fence never got back to me after screwing up her first measurements. Then the owner said he would work with me and he never followed up. I am a nice person and not difficult to work with. My conclusion is that they are very disorganized and unprofessional. I've never been lied to as much as Buck has lied to me. Incomplete work, crappy work, we have pictures of beer bottles some rolled up substances that smelt like marijuana. They stained a fence for us and there's literally boards with no stain on them. We had a professional painter to come out and he took pictures of the S**t work Buck did to use on his website as the other competitors. If you don't live on the island directly, he could care less. Buck only wants money and he is screwing the folks on the island. He said the work that he did for us would have been 3X's more on the island. Wake up people. We have a shotty fence job, boards actually had no nails in them or it was too small of a nail to hold it. Called Buck about it and he said his guys told him it looks good. To hell with the customers are always right. We had to hire another company to come in and fix their mistakes. That company felt bad about charging us. I happened to see Rolling Green working in a neighborhood close to mine. I went over the next day to the house that Bucks crew was working and they said it was a disgrace the amount he charged compared to the quality of work. That couple was almost in tears because Buck screwed them over so bad and they also are still waiting for stuff to be fixed. He looks out for the island people but that's it. I don't think any of his workers are drug tested which should be by the stuff you find in your yard after them. A recap, found 2 bags full of beer bottles. Have pictures to prove it. The owner threatened me with legal action! Call Coastal Fencing instead of Rolling Green. Much less expensive. Rolling Green claims to be the best on the Island. Well, they are proud of their work - it is reflected in their prices, but the business practices are shady. My text message conversation with the owner: `````````````` "Buck the fence looks good although I was quoted today (20% less) for the same fence from your competitor so that sucks. Will it be finished tomorrow? If you are willing to drop your price, I will give you 5 star reviews across social media." Buck: All I want is what we agreed. I don't need the reviews. Several local fence companies are undercutting us because we respond and they see us as the only SSI fence company. If you can't pay what we agreed, we will finish and move on tomorrow. Magistrate or Lein if necessary. Very disappointing The fence looks great and we worked hard to get it right. Thanks Buck: your reputation to agree on a price and not agree when someone out of the blue undercuts when the job is in progress. We began getting other quotes when you delayed the project. I was being honest and said you were 20% high. I told you on the phone earlier that we received another quote, I was polite, I said that we made an agreement and I'll stick with it (although it sucks that I'm paying 20% more than I should have, so that's my mistake). You keep texting me, escalating it. Let it go. The fence looks good; my mistake that I didn't get enough quotes before you started the job. Heck, you didn't show up yesterday when you said you would be here (after delaying twice) so I figured you were not coming at all. I had another contractor lined up. Then you do show up unexpectedly. I nearly sent your guys home, that's how pissed I was. I simply asked if you would be willing to come down on the price a bit. You said, No. I said, OK. If I could honest put a 0 rating I would. Buck Swindle is the worst person I've ever done business with. He and I had a written 3 month agreement on a fence he installed at my house. At just 3 weeks into the agreement he started harassing me telling me I needed to pay him in full right then and there. The next week (4 weeks into the agreement) I'm still abiding by the terms and paying him how I'm supposed too; he comes out of nowhere demanding me to name a price I could pay right then and there to be done and he refused to type up an official document replacing our original agreement. When I told him I couldn't do anything without something official he became very hostile threatening me with legal action and cussing at me. Upon reminding him of our agreement I told him to take me to court but I haven't violated anything so he had no case, he disappeared and then randomly popped back up acting like nothing had happened. I have paid him in full a month earlier than our agreement and this unstable man had the audacity to say please keep him and his business in mind for the future??? Stay away from him. Other reviews I found stated he has a habit of threatening people and he feels like he is so respected out on St Simons but don't say I didn't warn you. read more
