If you heading home or to a friends nearby, it does have a good selection of beer and decent price. Two frequent bus lines, #4 & #6, stop outside the shop and you can see the Kenton MAX train from the store entrance 2 short blocks up. The family behind the counter are the sweetest people; friendly, always a smile and never seen them pop off at a customer, (I've been in here enough times to know that). If you read the one negative review of this place, you can see the chip on the shoulder so clear ya own computer screen mighta cracked. This store is very similar to a 7-11 or a Monreal depanneur (as opposed to a larger chain grocery store. This is NOT like a Safeway or QFC or No Frills). It has the basics - mostly beverages and candies and snacks, and some essential pharmacy stuff like aspirins. Nice veggies, meats, frozen and pantry. They have a very good selection of beverages (alcohol and soft), and have a great cold section. They also have a nice little display for fresh pastas and ready to heat or cook-type foods in what I would call the deli case. Flowers are always pretty, so if you need a quick gift--the combo of the Arrangement (across the street) and this place is a must. At the front, a very cute selection of local breads and desserts.
