Oh my, what a find. Such a great place, clean, and beautiful building. Henson, our server, did a wonderful job with recommendations and service. We both had the fried chicken and it did not disappoint. So light and crunchy, southern style, moist and fresh. My husband had the greens which he loved the Smokey sweet flavor, along with the corn muffin and he ate all of his potato salad which tells you it was good. I had the side of candied yams which were just right, not too much cinnamon or too much sugar, a great combination. Glad to support this independent business. read more

We were surprised by the Sunday Buffet instead of menu. The young one was mad because all he wanted was "fried dill pickles" waitress said that was no problem- and it wasn't. Post church crowd had us feeling underdressed but the staff made us feel very welcome. True southern Sunday spread! Potato salad, sautéed cabbage, baked beans,Mac and cheese, yams, baked chicken, fried chicken( great flavor and moist), fried catfish. Banana Pudding and peach cobbler! Fried pickles were great too. Not a lot of places will go out of their way to make you feel welcome or jump off prefix menu like a buffet, owner was on site, came over and checked on us! Let me say first, it was a Sunday. Service was extremely slow. Sunday has a "buffet" style lunch. You walk up and pick out from a couple entrees and sides. They had turkey necks and gravy, fried chicken wings and fried fish. Food was alright. Not great not bad. Finished my entire plate before we got drinks. Refills were a little better but still slow. Check took almost 10 minutes to come after we were asked if we were ready for it. Not much open so that's a plus. Average food with below average service. read more

Really wanted to love this place cause the photos of the food made it look soooo good. Catfish is NOT real Mississippi catfish, please don't come here thinking it is. All the sides,.. out of a can. My candied yams were 90% butter. The lunch special was catfish and spaghetti with green beans. They were out of spaghetti and green beans and asked us for difference sides. Well because we didn't get the "sides" on the lunch menu,... they charged full price. Customer service was unfortunately sub par. Would not recommended this business to anybody. read more

Natchez is a cute town with some good eateries. My husband and I were passing through on our way to another city and decided to stop for lunch. After an extensive Yelp search, we decided on this wonderful locally owned Black business. The staff was friendly and suggested several yummy dishes. For Valentine's Day we happened to be in the city of Natchez, MS and made the most of it by visiting @rollingriverreloaded for the 1st time. It was also black-owned ! I loved the layout & the music & we were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. The owner made you feel like family. The food was amazing & so we're the drinks! I'll start with off with the drinks ! We ordered the Cocktail flight which was about $23 . We picked the Rum Punch, Tom Collins, Mango Hennessy , & the Whiskey Sour! All of them were amazing but my favorite would have to be the Mango Hennessy ( and I'm not even a big Hennessy fan ) which I was very surprised about! My second fave was the Rum Punch because I love a tropical drink! I thought the presentation of the cocktail flight was really cute & I was able to share it with my boyfriend. For appetizers we got the Sampler Tray which we picked the sliders, whole chicken wings, French fries, fried pickles, and rolling river eggroll (85%sure this was the name. Just know it's the one without the shrimp). The food was so good I'm still thinking about it . Those Eggrolls made me mad because I wanted more, & the dipping sauce it came with was so good I was dipping my fries in it. The fried pickles were fried to perfection, the fries & sliders were good as well. Now let's get into the chicken wings . Now it's been a while since I had some real fried chicken & let me tell you I was eating every part including the wing. We got lemon pepper flavor . The wing was fried perfectly & had the crunch that I liked. The lemon pepper was drizzled over the top and I didn't care that they just came out the fryer I had to eat them. The fried fish was tasty as well & esp the Mac & cheese (my favorite thing to order at any restaurant ). I liked that 2 sides came with a lot of the meals. To continue, I was hesitant to try the potato salad bc everyone can't make it, but whoever made that potato salad deserved a little extra praise. The pork chops were grilled nicely & my entire plate was sooooo good. I took some home and was sad that's all I had left. Overall, I'll definitely give this place 5 stars. Anytime we stop in Natchez from now on I will be in the building . They need more reviews because they are worth it & were packed when we got there ! I eat & drink A LOT of places and this is definitely going on my list of places people should visit ! My only tips would be to label the drinks in the flight, and maybe a hostess stand closer to the front of the door. (The bartender was so nice & she knows how to make a drink. One of the waitresses was so sweet she just had us worried she would forget the orders because we could hear her at the counter trying to remember it (but guess what ? Food was awesome and so was the staff! Our waitress recommended the fried broccoli and I'm glad she did. It was amazing! The broccoli was fresh and wasn't greasy in the least. I had the catfish, which was equally as good and my wife had the salad with shrimp. Definitely would recommend! read more

Dena is GREAT she made sure we had everything we needs including a hug on the way out . We had Catfish the first night and BBQ rib tips the second night. Can't some of the best Catfish we have had and husband is still talking about the BBQ rib tips. We were in town for a family reunion and chose to eat here and take advantage of the Buffet option. Two pieces of catfish, small bowl of beans and a scoop of mashed potatoes for $26? Some people got peach cobbler but they ran out before half of our family got dessert and NO options were offered in replacement but we were all charged the same $26. So, the food was good. The service was good but the cost and limited amount of food served was a disappointment. I could have sat in the dining room and ordered from the full menu to receive everything the restaurant offered and saved money. The food was good enough to promote but I do not recommend their buffet service. read more

I have to pull the trigger on a 5 Star Rating. Ambience, music, service and food were all top notch. The mustard greens were well seasoned w/ a kick of spiciness that blended well w/ my corn muffin.. My turkey burger had tomatoes, lettuce, purple onion, pickles and choice mustard/mayo on a toasted bun. I opted for grilled veggies that weren't overly oily, but truly delicious. I couldn't eat everything and am bringing grilled veggies home. Tea was good/cold! And, the restroom, as well as restaurant, was squeaky clean. They have a $10 lunch menu. I ordered off regular menu. My meal was less than $20 w/ a 20% tip added. Natchez has a restaurant for "Foodies" ! I'll definitely be back for their Sunday Brunch. Just great down home favors!!! read more

What a treat! Four of us were visiting Natchez from Birmingham, walking through their Downtown area looking for a place for dinner. Rolling River's window-posted menu was simple but varied and enticing. Mekayla greeted us and offered any empty table we wanted. She was incredibly helpful as we studied the drinks and main menus, asking questions and directing us to fabulous choices. We enjoyed gumbo, rib tips, catfish, mustard greens, mac & cheese... all larger portions than we expected for the prices. All were delicious! Nary a morsel was left at the end of our meal! We're so happy to have discovered Rolling River and look forward to enjoying them again on our next visit to Natchez! read more

The time on the website and the door says it closes at 5 on Sundays. We were approached at that door at 3 that they were closed. I said that the time or the time online doesn't say they close at 3. He then says that they have been closing the past three years at 3, but yet the time on the door or google has not changed. Update your times if y'all actually close at 3 on Sunday. read more

What a great restaurant. They are one of only a couple that stay open later. We went in a little after 9:00 pm for a late dinner and it.was perfect because it was mid week and the restaurant wasn't very crowded so we got the opportunity to visit with the staff. They were so friendly it was like being with friends. I ordered the friend chicken wings with Mac and cheeses. They were the best and biggest chicken wings I ever saw. The fish and shrimp plate was cooked fresh and the sides of Mac and cheese and greens were like homemade. The staff was friendly and polite.
