I live close by, and every time I've gone in, (with the exception of the first time) I've had…read morenothing but problems. I bought a washer from them shortly after they opened. It broke exactly one day after their warranty expired, and because I couldn't afford an extended warranty, they refused to help me. I get that it's a part of their contract. But one day? That just lazy bad customer service. On a different occasion, a year or so later, I needed to buy a part for an appliance. I showed the woman (who has been working there a while at this point) what I needed. She went on sears website and said she would order it for me. It took her almost 30 minutes to figure out the website. She finally got the part ordered, and It wasn't as expensive as what was showing online at sears and other merchants, so I questioned her. The difference in price was a lot. Like a 50$ difference. And she assured me not to worry, she had gotten it right. Then she assured me if it came in wrong I could bring it back to them, return it, and they would order the right one. My gut told me she had screwed the order up, but I ignored it. Low and behold the wrong part came in. Wasn't even for the same appliance I need it for. I took it back to the store to be told by some kid, who was very rude, that they don't return online items. When I told him what I was informed, he just shrugged and walked away. On our most recent trip to this store, my husband went in to buy some fluorescent bulbs, and he was greeted by some creepy man who looked at him, turned to another employee, and yelled "do you want me to deal with that?". My husband said the other clerk told the man to go do something else and she helped him, but was extremely rude to him. Now keeping in mind that my husband is not white, hearing someone refer to him as "that" was really off putting, but he isn't one for conflict(and we needed the bulbs). I've met the owners of this store. They are super sweet people, but their staff is horrible. I also feel the owners should be present more often. Every single situation where I've run into problems, they weren't available. I'd love to say I won't go back. Unfortunately convenience is more important than good customer service some times, so there's a big chance I'll be back in here.
