It was built in 1883, and has been restored to its previous beauty. My fiance and I choose The Candle Lit Wedding Chapel because we did want something historic and a chapel too. The interior is decorated with antique paintings/sculptures of a religious theme. The owners, Dan & MaryEllen are a super couple. They are thoughtful, caring, flexible and very willing to work with couples. The acoustics inside are amazing! We had a solo violinist and also a singer with an acoustic guitar. They both sounded SO beautiful inside when they played,. (Music nor people needed a mic to be heard) The small things makes this a very special place to wed. My fiance, as their tradition goes, was able to ring the chapel bell just before our wedding. The sign outside changed to the couples name, date, time of their wedding...and Dan even offered to have a pot of coffee ready, for anyone who needed that extra kick in the morning. I am so grateful we found such a beautiful location to say our "I dos". The price of the chapel varies depending on your guest count. We had a small group..so it wasn't much to pay.

The people here are so kind and I felt so important from my first meeting. There is a whole room of décor left from previous weddings and events that are free to use which ended up saving me so much money and time as I was able to use so much signage and made my centerpieces using these items. I decided to use the twin barn and got a last minute upgrade to the waterfront barn with no extra cost. The people here made my day special and genuinely care about the people who come through the doors. I am so glad I chose this venue and highly recommend it to anyone interested!

Father Fontanini and Staff are the best to bring faith to this parish and anyone that is looking to our Lord is Welcome. From day one I felt at ease in this church even though the first time I didn't know what was going on! I soon found that I was a true Catholic Soul and have a place that comforts my being and continues to inspire me to bring that to others. Doors are open for service, solice, or solitude in this sanctuary. Although it may seem odd to boast about a church on Yelp, In this day and era...It feels like a perfect thing to do...may Gods light shine.

Between snotty remarks about the wedding couple, the lack of help and empathy for guests with disabilities, all of the crazy rules and requirements written on signs posted everywhere around the venue such as and the lack of generic respect for videographer and myself was unbelievable. I would never recommend this venue to any of my clients. I have done over 200 weddings and this by far was the worst venue hosts that I have come in contact with.

I had actually purchased a vehicle from the owners and this was very convenient for me to stay since I had a very long drive back to Orlando ahead of me. The proprietor Angela is one of the best in the business. Her attention to detail overflows in almost every direction u look. The beds are some of the most comfortable I've slept in for a long time. The Massive shower is mind blowing & I'm pretty sure the marble was imported. Tons of water pressure make for a nice shower experience that u won't forget. Everything about this place is over the top and Angela will go out of your way to make your stay very special. The host was friendly, and they provide pretty much everything you'll need. There is a great truck stop just a few minutes away, too. The bad: There were dead bugs everywhere. The bed wasn't the most comfortable. The road is in terrible condition, and I worried about getting out if it rained. If I'd been on the motorcycle it would have been impossible to do. Overall, the good outweighed everything else. Sitting outside sipping coffee while the birds serenade you is a wonderful way to start the day.

Recently attended Pilgrim Heights for a wedding and was totally blown away by the outdoor ceremony…read moresite - what a beautiful backdrop! The venue was down a steep gravel road from the parking lot, so a tractor pulling a wagon with benches took people to and from the ceremony. While our friends recited their vows we basked in the beautiful nature setting, complete with a huge pond (or is it a lake?) as the backdrop. A flock of probably eight pelicans swooped through the sky and landed in the water, and massive graceful hawks soared overhead. It was beautiful and probably even metaphorical in some way. The indoor reception building was large and had a nice layout - you walk through a cabin-esque lodge building with a fireplace and cross an outdoor bridge that leads you into a second building - it felt much like an oversized treehouse. There was a full kitchen, nice bathrooms, and a reception area where there was plenty of room for tables, a DJ, and dance floor (I'd guess the wedding had roughly 100 attendees). On the whole, this was a nice wedding venue, however a couple things did bug me such as the hosta beds surrounding trees at the ceremony site hadn't been weeded (an easy fix), the tractor rumbled through the woods during their vows (very distracting and massively inconsiderate), the reception building's floor had lots of chipped paint making an overall tacky vibe (another easy, fairly cheap, fix), and climbing down from the tractor's wagon meant uneven footing and didn't provide a railing which resulted in one of the elderly guests falling square on her face! I'm really surprised the venue didn't have someone riding on the tractor to help guests on and off, even if only for the sake of their own liability.
