For so urban an area, the range and quality are both excellent. The garden centre itself is more your typical national trust shop, and definitely mid- to high-end, but they have a wide range of gardening tools, clothing and nick-knacks for decorating your garden, plus the usual range of NT books, gifts and lots of tempting impulse purchases. The access is the main problem and the car park can be a bit of a traffic jam when people are drawn out by the good weather. From the car park, you can access the main garden centre, Maidenhead Aquatics, a little cafe/gift shop and Morden Hall Park. I've reviewed the aquatic centre separately and will concentrate on the main garden centre. There is a large outdoor section with plants of all sizes for sale as well as tubs and ornaments. At this of year, I love hunting the aisles for newly sprouted herb and vegetable plants to put into my garden. I was able to purchase 4 varieties of tomatoes and some carrots this Sunday. Indoors, there is a good variety of seeds and gardening paraphernalia as well as a small section for pets and gifts. The staff are always helpful with suggestions and tips. The cafe is worth a visit for a tea time cake and cup of tea after a walk in the park. A pleasant day out in sun.
