Not only did Dan Human leave our pool deck looking nothing like the sample he gave us due to improper preparation of the product and not following manufactures instructions. He cheated us out of a second coat by but says he "added more on the fist coat". This is not consistent with the lack of coverage all throughout the job. The base material was mixed incorrectly leaving the finished product pitting and cracking after just days. When Dan realized he ordered the wrong caulking he decided to apply it anyway and just "paint" over it causing the product to bubble, pop and remain sticky. With all the issues the final product was too rough to walk on. Due to not protecting our landscaping rocks we were left with product sprayed and dripped everywhere. not to mention the drips on our pool and liner. When Dan was asked to give us a letter of responsibility and clear summery of what he planned to fix and how he planned to do it, he failed to give us such letter. Dans overall verbal explanation of what would be done and when changed from day to day. He looked to only "fix" the really bad spot and leave the bad ones. It became very clear that Dan was unable to give us the product he sold us and assured us he could do. Dan offered us $1100 to cover the absolute mess he left us which was not even 1/3 of what it will cost us to complete the job. Note that Dan was sure to post pictures of our pool from a distance for advertisement and each time I leave a message that this job was left a mess he just "deletes" the comments and leaves the advertisement photos. There is nothing professional about Dan Human. You can see how poorly New Day protected our pool and landscaping and the huge difference between the sample and what we were left with. The pitting product and lack of coverage was just the bonus Dan left us with. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY LEAVE YOUR POOL LIKE THIS.

I was looking for ways to cut down the heat in my attic. I had already laid Attic Foil over the…read morecotton insulation in the attic - which cut the heat to the 2nd floor. But the attic was still a scorching 155 degrees on a hot day. If I could cut this heat down, it would transfer less heat to the 2nd floor as well. Dimitry came out, walked my attic with me and flew a drone overhead (and gave me some really cool shots of my roof)! He explained that I did a great job with the foil, but I now needed either a ridge vent to pull the heat out or convert my small turtle vents to active solar fans to draw the cool air from the edge soffits and pull the hot air out the top. Because of his excellent advice, I know exactly where to take this project, saving me time and money. Highly recommended!

I have to be completely honest. We didn't do our part on picking correct insurance policy,…read morehowever. When I communicated to ABR and spoke to Mel he was extremely helpful and communitive. He spoke to me the entire time up until the work was being complete. No fault to his. But I expressed to him I didn't have a good experience in the past using mitigators because I feel like some of the work is done to ensure we need to replace whatever is touched by water. They are going to tell you it is by code and policy. However, in my case where things went wrong the amount charged to basically dry my flooded rental was ridiculous and most of the work was unnecessary. Most people will not care because their goal is to bill the insurance company for as much as they possibly can. This time it backfired because the insurance didn't cover it and the so called restoration done which was removing anything that was touched by the toilet water that leak was cut and removed. That includes dry wall, carpet etc. Being that I understand this space, we all know that this all would have to be removed anyway once I hire someone to remodel. So now I am was stuck with almost a $10k bill, and damaged house, and no contact to fix, and this bill is for them to basically removed pieces that was touched (by the way some didn't have to be removed). It was my understanding they was going to handle the job from beginning to end but I guess that is only if the insurance company is paying. Once I was sent to the financial person she assumed I couldn't pay for it and basically only wanted to speak about my payment to them. She apologized for it so no foul there but business wise it doesn't feel good being left with this damage and they get their money and run. The reason I am doing a two star is because Mel was pleasant and answered the phone every time. I will say that this service is not necessary in most cases and if you want to get the most from the insurance company then go for it. But if you have a good contractor, I would go with them and have them go through the insurance company. At least you have an option to approve work, be notified of cost etc. I didn't have the luxury of doing so. Was an very expensive mistake on my behalf but we live and we learn. I take accountability for my part, but could never get them to do the same. Hate to be the first one to leave a not so good rating.

Zeta came through my neighborhood like a wrecking ball and took down 100+ year old oaks. Neighbors…read moreon either side of my house got their roofs cleaved and crews were buzzing around the clock. I heard horror stories of $16,000 removals and saw a swinging crane knock down my neighbor's chimney with a huge suspended log. My tree problem wasn't as big of a deal. I was lucky. That said, I called a few places and they either didn't want to be bothered by a 25 year old Leyland cypress over my sunroom, or wouldn't come out for a quote for a week, then said they'd schedule me for JANUARY (2 months later). I called Cathy in the afternoon and she booked Chris to give a quote in the morning. I hadn't had many quotes, but they were all above my comfort -- obviously there was plenty of work out there for months to come. Chris told me he could cut it safely and haul it for the lowest price. He also had a guy who would eliminate the stump and upturned roots for $100. But how long would I have to wait? "We can do it tomorrow afternoon between jobs." They brought a crew of 6 and saved my fence in the process (the tree was leaning over my fence, within two inches of the top). 4 of them hauled sections while two managed/climbed/cut. Chris came in to check and give instructions at the start and at the end of the project. He also reviewed the completion to make sure it was to my satisfaction. On the way out, at my prompting, he gave me some quotes on standing trees that I may want to take down in February when it's cheapest. Above and beyond: Since this was a neighbor's tree, Chris gave me good recommendations on what needed to happen with the remaining 15 Leylands that look at the end of their lifespan, crafted a letter for me to use as a template, and worked with me to make our 50/50 neighbor split easy. They kept in phone and text communication any time I had a question. He even wore a mask for our review without my request. Bonus: His stump grinder contact was reliable and reached out the next day without any prompting. Now it's like nothing happened! I hope to never have to call them again, but if I need some trees cut down, I'll call Cathy and Chris.

Our experience with Progreen has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite paying them in full, a…read morestaggering $21,680, for what was promised to be a professional and satisfactory wall installation, they left the wall INCOMPLETE, failed to meet the necessary building codes... and worse!! Progreen had not worked with a qualified engineer for the project, even though large walls exceeding 4ft in height require expert engineer guidance throughout the construction process. Our wall is 6 ft high and 71 feet long. Progreen texted that an engineer was not involved and proceeded to write that an engineer did not have to be involved-- demonstrating ignorance of code and raising huge liability issues Adding insult to injury, Progreen disregarded the approved design that was agreed upon by both myself and documented on the site plan and instead installed a completely different shape of wall without permission. This alteration not only violated our agreement but also raises serious concerns about their integrity and credibility as a company. When confronted with the issues raised by the inspectors, I reached out to Progreen in search of answers and resolution. Shockingly, their response was rude and dismissive and bordered on gaslighting. They dared to label our valid concerns as "crazy" before abruptly cutting off communication entirely. In light of these appalling circumstances, I strongly advise anyone considering hiring Progreen to hire someone else. Their lack of professionalism, inability to meet code requirements, and willingness to alter approved designs (without any communication, discussion, or approval) demonstrate that they are an unprofessional and unsafe company.
