As you can see, he achieved a perfect floor match--even though the previous stain was a blend of three different Minwax colors. Let's see where to start, I hired Edgar for remodeling a bathroom for my grandma. My grandma is a…read moreheart patient and had issues with walking, so we had decided to put in a stand up shower and redo the entire bathroom. The work was done fine, but it was after the payment was made. The shower was leaking and I pointed it out to Edgar who said that it's a defective shower, so I had ordered another one and waited. Not only the shower was leaking, there was no hot water. He had mentioned that he will have to break the wall, this and that. After almost two weeks of going back and forth and my grandma not having a working shower, I ended up calling up my plumber who fixed the issue. The issue was with workmanship and where the installation wasn't done correctly. After paying the plumber $300, I finally get a message back from Edgar saying that he is sending someone and since this isn't a workmanship issue, I have to pay him $300. So pretty much, the job done was fine, but the mess I had to deal with after paying him was not End of the day, my grandma suffered and I had to spend additional $300 to fix a workmanship issue caused by Edgar and his team.

We hired JMR Home Services for a basement finishing project that began around September 2025…read more Unfortunately, the experience was very stressful. Communication and project management were inconsistent throughout the job, which required far more homeowner oversight and repeated follow-up than we expected just to keep work moving. Several workmanship and finish-quality issues arose during the project, including items that remained unresolved near the end. A walkthrough was conducted, the full balance ($50,835) was paid, and the county completed the final inspection and issued the Certificate of Occupancy. Despite this, remaining finish items were not completed and follow-up stopped. Closeout communication also became unnecessarily confrontational despite our consistent good-faith efforts to resolve issues and bring the project to a proper conclusion. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this company.
