I ate at the restaurant (good tiramisu) and I came back and called for service on the A/C and the safe. An adjustment was made in the ceiling and got the A/C working but only dropped in temp 3C in 8 hours. The room had all the basic needs. Check-out was easy and the walk to the airport terminals was also easy. This could have been a four star experience if the A/C worked better. Three stars!

(I missed it!) *dining on site, breakfast included with stay-more than adequate! *minutes from airport shuttle available *great shampoo, wish they sold it! *a few blocks walk to the ocean/beach DH chose this hotel as a resting place after our flight into Fiumicino, Italy. After a long flight, and a Garmin inability to find this place, we finally put in the name of the street and came right upon the hotel (print out directions prior to arriving or use google maps). The hotel also has a shuttle if needed which many guests were taking advantage of, its only minutes away from the airport. We just needed a place to rest for a night before heading north, this is located about 30 minutes from Rome City Center. We arrived on property about 8:30 in the evening and were so glad to be greeted by Stefano and offered dinner at the hotel if we were so inclined, to allow us not have to go out after a long day of travel. We dined al fresco while Stefano warmed my husbands favorite lasagna of the trip (the hotel has a chef who comes in and preps the food). Stefano also made us a mushroom pizza and garnished with fresh basil from the herb garden in the patio. We dined with a sweet Italian couple from NY who also loved the quaint feel of the property, they ordered the pizza and some meatballs and said the meatballs were good. They too, were staying for one night on the tail end of their trip, they had dropped their rental car off and would be shuttled to the airport by hotel staff for their early AM flight, The outside of the street area (street parking) is within a neighborhood which looks slightly sketch but was safe for us. There were many local teens walking around, looked to be the typical Italian city back road neighborhood. The property itself is gated. We would return to this property.

Had to stay an extra night after a three-week journey and decided to stay close to the airport…read morerather than traveling back into the heart of Rome. This hotel is close to the airport, offers a cheaper shuttle than a taxi, and has clean, well-decorated rooms. Downsides are no food on-site (restaurant has late hours, not friendly to travelers), and my room was next to the road, so traffic didn't settle down until about 10 pm. There is another wing on the other side of the reception area, further from the road, but I didn't know this when I reserved - consider for the future if quiet is paramount. The staff was friendky and efficient, and their English was fluent (a big help, as my Italian is far from being versant!). Overall, a decent place to stay a night before or after a flight, and for a reasonable price.

The rooms are quiet and the best plus which isn't even mentioned on their website is the self service laundry room on the second floor. You will need 6 euros, 50 cents, one or two euros coins. They don't make change so come prepared. The breakfast buffet is fine (wish they had hazelnuts or walnuts for the cereal), but I really love the club sandwich (I always order it for lunch), if you arrive later then the fare now isn't as good. They used to have really good pizzas, but have dropped them from the menu. The front desk said their bar could do a Hugo Spritz, but they don't have all the ingredients. Major disappointment! We arrived early but found a clean room which may be because we are Hilton Honors or I am using my AMEX Hilton Honors card. One of my favorite layovers. Looking forward to coming back in two weeks to see if they found some St. Germaine.

My husband and I stayed here for one night because we wanted to be by the airport for our flight the next morning. When we arrived we waited in a long line at reception and then asked for the front desk to check us in and order a taxi to Ostia Antica, a Roman ruin about 20 minutes away. We wanted to get back to exploring Italy on our last day and not be stuck in the hotel. The woman at the reception was confusing as she said a room was ready and then she said I'm not going to give you that room. She also could not comprehend that we would want a taxi to leave the isolated hotel. It was a very odd experience, but we did end up having our bags held in their storage closest and getting a taxi. The taxi was expensive and I should have looked at uber instead because our uber back was much cheaper. Ostia Antica is a really cool ancient ruin and archeological site and the village is adorable and has a castle. I highly recommend checking it out if you get to this hotel during the day. When we got back to the hotel in the evening we got the room keys. It's an old hotel with odd, sometimes scary decor (clown pictures) and they forgot to put shampoo in our shower. They sent us up shampoo and we just needed a place to stay before our flight so it was fine, but the cost was too high in my opinion and I think people should strongly consider their options before choosing this hotel.

The first time I stayed there another person at reception was again difficult and treated me with indifference. Travelers tip: the airport is about 40 minutes or so away from town Center. Most tourist opt to stay near or around town center for the convenience of getting around Rome. Hotel Tiber is by all standards, is a complete $hit hole. Our taxi driver graciously dropped us off by the front door, which irritated with staff at the front desk. Apparently, they don't want guests dropped off near the front door. In fact, they want guests dropped off down at the street corner, and they want them to drag their luggage/belongings Into the hotel. The front desk staff paraded us as to where we "found our taxi driver ", and how he had the audacity to drop us off with her luggage. The room itself was absolutely disgusting. The bed was like sleeping on a bed of hay covered with a very thin worn out sheet. Blankets were nonexistent, and the pillows were lumpy and definitely old. We called down to the front desk and requested additional pillows and blankets, and they never showed up. The room smelled, and not in a good way. The room was not visibly dirty, but it definitely was not visibly clean. After a rough night of not sleeping, we attempted to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was close to the hotel room experience. The food was unappealing, and looked like it had been sitting in the warming dishes for days. It was pretty inedible, and just added to the overall experience. Definitely don't stay here. Don't waste your money, or your time. There are better places to stay. If you feel the need to stay close to the airport, this just is not one of those places.

We hadn't even crossed immigration there was security clearance after that. The panic was unreal. There were 30 mins left to board and mind you we never arrived late it just that it was so slow. Well it was the first time I saw airport staff started calling out our airline passengers and took us through a separate lane. That's when we took in a breathe of relief. Never got to enjoy the duty free or do much. Just was thankful didn't miss the flight. I have heard a similar few such stories about this airport. Overall it was big and clean a bit mismanaged for sure.

It's basically fraud -- you sign the contract with the expectation you will be able to contact them for help. But nope -- not possible. It's stunning Hertz operates like this. This place is very small; it's a guest house with 6 rooms, and it provided that peace that I needed. It is walkable to some nearby restaurants, a pharmacy, and a coffee shop. There is a cute garden area where you can sit outside. Looks like you can either bring your bikes or use the ones that they have, which is a generous perk. There is also a restaurant/nightclub. Mixo, adjoining the house, but it was not open during the time of year that I was visiting. All rooms have a theme, and I stayed in the Amsterdam room, which was decorated in red, super cute (all IKEA), and was very spacious. There was a living area with table/chairs, a couch futon, and a kitchenette. The bedroom was really adorable and had a private bath. There is free wifi, and it worked great! Since I was leaving at 5 am to go to the airport, the staff reserved me a taxi and left me a bag with a continental breakfast inside, which was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. Only negatives: 1) The reserved taxi never showed up. I had to call and get my own. 2) Only stairs. No elevator. I was located three flights of stairs up. HOWEVER, the staff did help me with my suitcase going up and down, which was SUPER AMAZING! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who needs some R&R after an exhausting (but AMAZING) trip in Italy. You get the solitude of it being a small guest house with some of the great amenities of a hotel.
