This company did not honor their contract, and the quality of work was shockingly poor. Do NOT…read morerecommend - waste of money. 1. The deck paint started peeling within a month (see picture). The contract stated two coats would be applied, but we never saw them do a second coat. I contacted the company because the work was supposedly guaranteed and never received a reply. 2. They spent an entire day painting our bathroom the wrong color. When I asked them to fix it, they tried to blame me for "miscommunication" even though the requested color was clearly stated both verbally and in writing in the contract. Their mistake prolonged the project, which they then became irritated about because they had "other jobs." 3. Paint was everywhere -- paint footprints on indoor and outdoor stairs, paint on the driveway, and large sections of our hot tub, mirrors, counters, outdoor table, and light fixtures were covered in paint. None of it was addressed until I pointed it out, and even then the cleanup was poor. 4. Large sections of wallpaper were left on the walls despite removal being included in the contract, and multiple areas of molding were never painted. I ultimately had to repaint much of the bathroom myself. 5. They damaged a full 8ft part of the ceiling and took it upon themselves to try to repair it without disclosing it even though they had little drywall/puttying experience. Having this professionally fixed will cost a lot. 6. The most uncomfortable part was being pressured into signing paperwork saying the contract had been fulfilled when it clearly had not. I was told they would not leave until I signed it. As a small woman alone in the house, the interaction felt intimidating and deeply unprofessional.

I'm sharing my personal experience working with Jarvis Renovations to help others make an informed…read moredecision. I signed a contract on July 31, 2025, for $49,125 for construction of a fully completed garage, with an expected completion timeframe of late October 2025. On February 23, 2026, I received a revised quote totaling $54,981. I was told at that time that certain items required for code compliance--specifically drywall and insulation--had not been included in the original scope. The cost attributed to these additions was $5,856, although some other elements were adjusted due to changes in project dimensions. Throughout the project, I experienced challenges with communication and execution. For example, despite multiple discussions regarding the required ceiling height, the final build did not match those specifications. Additionally, I was not given the opportunity to select the garage door before installation. When I raised concerns about the scope and project details, the situation became more difficult to resolve, and discussions included the possibility of a lien if payment issues arose. The project was completed on May 11, 2026, with final payment made on May 12, 2026, which was several months beyond the original estimated completion timeline. I also submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau on May 17, 2026. As of two weeks later, the concerns I outlined had not yet been resolved through that process. I have retained documentation related to contracts, communications, and project details. Based on my experience, I encourage others to carefully review project scope, confirm all code requirements are included, and document expectations clearly before entering into an agreement.
