Everyone was wonderful to work with. It was a totally hassle-free and easy experience. They had our awning installed in less than 2 wks and we love it. So happy we decided to work with them!

After my initial call and email I was handed off to his site coordinator for install and fabric selection (Andre). He came over, seemed to be very nice at first, and did all the selections needed, 3 weeks later, (as promised) the install happened. It was October/November timeframe when installed, too late in the year to offer any real review on the actual awnings and their operation, I will know more about that in the spring. I can say the installation was very poor, I had two awnings installed to cover my deck, installed uneven and the power cord on one was stapled to the side of my house like a 10 year old did it, VERY disappointed! Texting Andre and getting nowhere fast, ( he didn't seem to really care), I emailed Rod again and he said it was all fixable, that was 2 months ago with no email or call since so I have to assume nobody is coming back, spending 10K+ for these awnings with install was a very bad experience! I was also told at the beginning I would get access to an APP to control my awnings, I wasn't shown any of that and I believe I paid extra for that feature, I still have no idea what to do to make that happen, I FEEL as though once the check was cashed they had very little interest in working with me any longer. Too bad I have heard good things about them and that's why I went to them, maybe I am the oddball customer experience but needed to vent on a review so this will hopefully help someone down the road to watch out for certain things. I pray no more issues in the spring, bad enough I have to re-wire it so I doesn't look so bad when spring comes.

Wow. I've been hunting on the internet for some fabric to recover an antique loveseat I picked up…read morecheap on Craig's List. I've found pretty much nothing, and find it really difficult to search sometimes, because I have literally no anchor for the design. We currently rent, plan on buying in the next few years, and even if I were planning on matching the current neutral-toned living room, the loveseat's the first piece to be done, so it's totally wide open. I was thinking of a burgundy color, and was thinking of ultrasuede because it's supposed to be very easy to care for. But I basically have a blank slate, which as Amanda at George's says is "both a blessing and a curse". We went in on a Saturday at a little before noon. I went with my mother and my incredibly well-behaved baby, who was quite happy to play peek a boo with a scrap of cloth Amanda cut for us as something to walk around and use to match fabrics. I went because in annoyance with online fabric warehouses I did a search for warehouses in MA, and found a list somewhere of ALL the non-chain fabric stores in MA. I noticed George's was in Lowell and figured a 10 min drive was worth it. Their website advertised 30% off all remnants, so I went hoping to score the 9-10 yards I need for the loveseat, or at least get some ideas. There was another adult daughter-mother team in there and Amanda was working alone. She handed me a couple of books of microsuede so I could look through them. We then went wandering around looking at the rest of the fabric, which is laid out in coordinating rows. The selection of in-stock stuff is small, but there is a HUGE variety of fabric that can be ordered. The remnants were wild in their variety. We ended up with several small scraps that were only $1/each (plus 30% off, so $0.70/ea) to make some soft stacking blocks for my baby and her little cousins. We also ended up with a few remnants to do a small chair in the baby's room and a duvet cover for her bed. I found a remnant of a GORGEOUS print. I wouldn't do a piece of furniture in it because it's too light, and therefore terrible for kids and pets, but it makes great accent pillows, or I'd put it as wall paper on a single wall or something. It was inspiring. Amanda found some beautiful fabric they had in stock that matched and of course the suede books yielded several possibilities for coordinating pieces. I will end up spending more at George's than I would have if I'd been able to find something online, but honestly, given the amount of time I've spent on various websites staring at hundreds of fabrics, wondering whether or not "good for upholstery" actually meant what it says (it doesn't), wondering if my screen resolution was accurate in its color displays (it's not), and given that the prices at George's are not the highest I've been quoted from other fabric sources and upholsterers I've talked to. I also have to say that Amanda was SUPER helpful, knowledgeable and extremely nice. I've read a lot of reviews of other fabric stores and upholsterers and read about how unfriendly and unhelpful people are in them. If I didn't have an upholsterer already I'd absolutely be bringing my stuff to George's, but I'll be buying fabric from them for sure, and I would recommend them, and specifically Amanda, to anybody.

WARNING: I believe Rite Window in Woburn, MA operates a calculated bait-and-switch scam. Prior to…read moreJanuary 7, 2026, they called me relentlessly to schedule a consultation. Salesperson Trevor DiTullio came to my home with a polished presentation about being a family business with outstanding reviews, specifically mentioning that Mass Save refers clients to them to establish credibility. During the consultation, I asked Trevor a direct question about basement windows below grade level that require excavation. I explicitly asked if Rite Window handles this work. This was the determining factor in whether I would sign a contract. Trevor looked me in the eye and stated: "we'll dig out the dirt and add in window wells." Based solely on that promise, I signed the contract and authorized a hard credit inquiry on January 7th. The contract had a 3-day rescission period ending January 10th. Immediately after it expired, Rite Window called to schedule measurements for January 13th. The timing is not coincidental. Today, the measurement technicians arrived and flatly stated Rite Window does not remove dirt or perform excavation work. The technicians were shaking their heads, clearly aware the salesperson had lied. After admitting they could not do the work that was the entire basis for my contract, they insisted on measuring other basement windows because they didn't want to waste their time. I had to explicitly refuse. The whole point was the two below-grade windows. I immediately made multiple attempts to reach management. The company that called relentlessly before my signature has become completely unreachable. Trevor eventually called back and admitted he told me they would dig out the dirt. He stated he would cancel the order. When I demanded to speak with a manager, he said he would "see what he could do" about having someone call back. Hours later, no call. They also refuse to provide email addresses for management, deliberately preventing written documentation. The pattern is calculated: Use Mass Save's name for credibility. Call relentlessly to get the consultation. Tell customers whatever they need to hear to sign. Wait for the rescission period to expire. Schedule the next appointment and reveal the lies. Make management unreachable. This is, in my opinion, organized fraud designed to trap customers after the legal cancellation window closes. I authorized a credit inquiry based on promises Trevor admitted he made. The technicians confirmed the services do not exist. I am filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Massachusetts Attorney General, and disputing the fraudulent credit inquiry. The Mass Save claim is a sales tactic. The family business story is a script. The promises are lies. The timing is intentional. Do not give this company your business, signature, or trust. Find an honest contractor.
