The staff was so helpful and although so many things have been challenging relocating from Chicago, reopening my account was a breeze. The one thing I needed to feel at home was the ability to find peace at the library. The facility is small but extremely quaint. The Friends of Dunnellon have a bookstore full of amazing selections and such great deals! I look forward to my weekly visits for new books to check out and hope to join some of the activities offered once I get settled!

They have a strong selection of books and what seems like a friendly staff. There is usually plenty of parking in the lot across the street. So I usually get books from this branch online and have it sent to Tavares or Mt. Dora, but I wouldn't hesitate to go in and explore or recommend it to someone else.

I absolutely love this library!!! Every Thursday at 10:30 AM they have baby time. They sing nursery…read morerhymes to the children and the babies really love it. I have so much fun with my son here. Being a stay at home mom, it can be hard to find activities to take your child to and even just getting out the house is a mission. I'm so grateful for this awesome community event. I hope many others can benefit from taking their children to this library. It is full of life, love, and literature. All for free. This is what makes a country great. Spring Hill little hidden gem here. Especially for book lovers who tire of paying so much for…read morebooks. We were greeted and shown around as soon as we entered. They had great teen and adult sections but the children's section could use some more books. However they do stock based on donations so we will be back to help keep them stocked! The money they make goes back to the library! They do have limited hours so we suggest checking when they are open before arrive.

And…read moreI remember the book store back in the day when it was in Kass Circle, hopping from tenant to tenant when leases would expire. You name it, you can find it. It's 100% volunteer, so make sure you call ahead or head there early, just in case they're not fully staffed. The deals are worth it, though, and the money goes right into the library system, so it all stays local. You never know what you'll find, and its well organized, clean, and tidy. Highly recommend putting aside a half an hour and coming in

All Libraries only allow residents to have a card and you need proof of residency. This has been policy since libraries have started and in all cities. Nothing new here.I use my Dad's card. Librarians are far from lowly they are among the most educated folks out there.

The ones I have dealt with are courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. I have to wonder if the people who look down on librarians aren't maybe the ones who white-out words in library books and replace the writing with what they think is better. With no respect for library property and none whatsoever for authors. If you think can do better, write a book yourself. In the meantime, leave someone else's books alone.

We went to this library for toddler storytime. Since I was visiting from Orlando I was really…read moresurprised at how big, new and sparkling this library was! The storytime was so-so, but you can't complain since it was FREE and the kids seemed to enjoy it. The library looks brand new with several meeting rooms and a tall ceiling with lots of glass windows to let in plenty of natural light. They have a large collection of books and a dedicated children's area with books easily accessible in bins, blocks, table activities and board games.
