He advised me to get filler first before fat transfer to see if I like how it looks first. I'd rather have natural and I see the difference between when there was more fat in my face from youth compared to now so I already know it's what I'd want. He told me I was being unreasonable if I didn't get filler first. I didn't get to say all the placements I desired fat. I wish he let me do that and go a bit more in depth and if he was set on me getting fillers first I would have felt better about the answer after having expressed my concerns. Feeling like a waste of $100 just for the consult.

Instead, he felt an Erbium laser was the best option for me since I had more 'crepey' skin rather than excess. The treatment, care and results were all phenomenal. I finally can use foundation around my eyes without it sinking into the wrinkles and looking caked on - which is a plus as a younger female who likes to get creative with my make-up. I also received beautiful flowers the day after my procedure which was such a nice touch. I will definitely be going back to Dr. Campbell for any future cosmetic procedures!

Unfortunately, speed is not enough on its own when the care itself feels indifferent. I have recently been to this ER two Saturdays in a row with severe chest and esophageal pain related to what was later identified as a lesion in my esophagus. Both times I was visibly struggling with the pain. Rolling back and forth. Trying to regulate my breathing. Not in a condition to discuss paperwork with much clarity. During the first visit, before they'd even put in an IV, much less give me any pain medication, the person who seemed most motivated to interact with me was the employee collecting insurance information. I told her I was having trouble thinking clearly because of the pain and asked whether the billing portion could wait a bit. I made some comment along the lines of: "I understand the hospital wants to get paid, but I can barely focus right now." "This hospital is a non-profit," she replied immediately, defensive. "I'm just trying to do my job." Which, of course, she was. But it was still difficult not to notice the order of operations here. Patient in visible distress first, billing discussion second -- that would seem like the more intuitive sequence. The pain medication they eventually gave me wore off fairly quickly. There was then a long stretch before I was able to get the attention of a nurse and receive any additional relief. Around the same time, I was informed that the hospital's computer systems were down, and they could not read my scan results. No one apologized. No one explained much of anything. The basic message was simply that I would need to wait until the system came back online. The second Saturday visit was worse. Same general intake experience and I was seen quickly, which I very much appreciated. They put an IV in me quickly, mere minutes after I arrived, and gave me various antacids and stomach medicines, in addition to what I was later told was something for anxiety. But not pain medication. A couple nurses took initial info from me and left, saying they'd come back with something for pain. It took nearly two hours for that to happen. At one point, a nurse came in and grumpily told me I needed to relax because my behavior was making things worse (again, having a very tough time slowing down my breathing, rocking back and forth, stating clearly how much pain I was in - nothing unusual for a person who is extremely uncomfortable). This was infuriating advice under the circumstances, because the thing preventing me from being relaxed was the severe pain, which at that point they had refused to treat. I understand that emergency departments deal with drug-seeking behavior. I understand why practitioners are cautious about narcotics. None of that changes the fact that people also arrive in legitimate pain, and those two categories are not interchangeable. What stayed with me most from the second visit was how noticeably things changed once my husband arrived. The tone shifted. The urgency shifted. My husband later remarked that it was bizarre how pain medication almost magically appeared when he arrived, and honestly, that was my impression too. Medicine has a long history of minimizing women's pain or reframing it as anxiety, emotional instability, stress, or overreaction. The old language was "hysteria," which sounds antiquated right up until you find yourself in pain while being told to calm down before anyone adequately addresses the pain itself. Unless your issue is severe and you would benefit from Froedtert's Level I trauma center, Elmbrook Memorial is still the place to go. I would just advise women to be mindful of being viewed with bland indifference to their pain be and prepared to assert themselves repeatedly if the staff refuse to manage that pain. Couldn't hurt to bring a man with you either.

Two of my three stays were at Elmbrook and I'm pretty happy with the care I received. Both times I started in the ED, where I was seen to quickly, diagnosed and invited to stay just a bit longer for observation. Hooray. Staff wise, everyone I encountered from docs to nurses to housekeeping was compassionate, kind and friendly. I'm confident they did everything correctly to get me to a good result. They do need to update their room furnishings - stripped wood & cracked vinyl isn't cool. And the food fulfills all the "hospital food" stereotypes - seriously not good. But you're not there to wine and dine, and the important parts of your care will be top notch.

I could not put a shoe on comfortably without being in massive pain. Dr. Wilson successfully did the surgery. I loved the results of his work that I went back to have the other foot done. He corrected another doctor's ( an orthopedic surgeon's )medical mess up in which he removed a screw that was displaced in my foot and made my second toe proportion with the other toes. This other doctor shortened my big toe so much that my shortened big toe wasn't in proportion to the other toes. (A real mess) He was excellent at explaining how he was going to correct the problems. Why I will continue to go to Dr. Wilson: I love that he is a board certified foot and ankle specialist and that is the sole reason I go to him. He is an expert at what he does. I believe if you have a problem with your knee, then you go to a knee specialist. If you have a problem with your elbow, then go to an elbow specialist. I needed him to make my feet proportion with the other toes and he did just that. He was able to successfully remove enough bone from the second toe to make my foot look normal. I needed him to fix the pain in the joint of my big toe, he successfully did just that. I needed him to remove the upside down screw that was displaced in my other foot, he successfully did just that. He is a doctor that puts his heart and soul into his practice. He is a doctor of integrity, knowledge, and has great wisdom. If you catch him on a good day, he might even sing while he is working. He is a professional and I chose him because of that. Especially if you are going to work on my feet!!! I needed a doctor that can think quick on their feet and that is certainly, Dr. Wilson. He saw me weekly to make sure infection was not setting in and will not hesitate to give up a Saturday if he remotely thinks there is a problem where a patient needs to be seen right away. I am happy with my results. I have normal looking feet now. I can't wait for the summer to get a pedicure and wear sandals. For years I would not wear sandals because of my weird looking feet. Dr. Wilson made me whole again.
