I'm from Philly, so let me make this simple: whatever Ronnie's is serving, stop calling it an authentic Philadelphia cheesesteak. That gray pile of meat on the roll looks nothing like what I expect when somebody claims to be serving a real Philly cheesesteak. Maybe it tastes better than it looks, but visually? Come on. It looks like the kind of processed frozen steak substitute places use when they want the name without putting in the work. And that's what bothers me most. If you want to sell your own version of a steak sandwich, go for it. Call it a Yuma steak, Ronnie's steak, desert beef surprise, whatever you want. But when you start advertising yourself as the "Home of the Philly Cheesesteak," you're inviting people from Philadelphia to judge it by Philadelphia standards. Apparently, plenty of Philly people already have, and the reaction has not been kind. Look up Cheesesteak Gurus a Facebook group of over 100 thousand people. All those people and not one kind word in regard to Ronnies steak sandwich. A cheesesteak doesn't need to be fancy. It needs good chopped beef, a proper roll, melted cheese, and somebody behind the grill who understands what they're making. This thing looks like somebody heard about cheesesteaks through a friend who once had a layover at the Philadelphia airport. Ronnie's may sell sandwiches. Ronnie's may even sell sandwiches people in Yuma enjoy. But calling that thing an authentic Philly cheesesteak? Absolutely not. Philadelphia rejects this application. read more

Visiting Yuma and a friend took me here for lunch. Not much to look at and sadly I might not have tried it by the looks of this place! Lol I had their Philly cheesesteak and I think it was prepared perfect. The bread/bun was a good quality the meat was cooked to perfection. Their cheese choice was the perfect flavor combo. I hade onions and peppers added but you can add just about anything you like! It's not much for ambiance but the service was fast and friendly. Would go back in a heat beat. Try it out! read more

We arrived here to celebrate a family friend's birthday. We had the Pepperoni Party Pizzas; a bit greasy but expected! Delicious pizza with just a tinge of spiciness to it. I didn't eat the dessert, but it looked good. The motif is of the cowboy persuasion throughout the diner. The bathroom was decent, and the staff friendly. Like I said, I was there with family but I can see kicking back with friends for a drink and some eats. A local establishment that deserves consideration! read more

This Place had the best Philly Cheesesteak's Hands down, I love to get the Chicken Cheesesteak , it has never disappointed me, they also offer huge pizza's for big parties. The staff is always very nice & will answer any questions you have, they only accept cash, they do have an ATM inside & there is only a few tables to eat there , but it's always nice & clean they do have a restroom, I absolutely love this place, I have been going to since I was a kid. read more

Holy Schmoley.. Cheesesteak sandwiches to die for! There is a huge difference in the photos of the cheesesteaks posted by those reviewing! I can Only testify as to how ours turned out! Delectable with out a doubt! Would I change anything? Hmmmm perhaps doing a light grill on the cut side of the rolls...(cause that's how I do mine) but other than that... we are delighted with the cheesesteaks here! Hubby wants to try the Stromboli next, 6 yr old wants ravioli next time and I'm thinking pizza for me!!! We will be back! The small bathroom was clean. The decor is fun. It's a small dine in with most patrons during our time there opting for take out! A 28" pizza sounds crazy but perhaps ideal for a party, marching band or potluck or a teacher appreciation luncheon!! I'm from NY and I've had some pretty amazing pizza. I have to say...this is the best pizza I've had since moving out west. I was actually pretty shocked it was as good as it was (We got a large x-pepp x-chz pie). Anyone can put sauce and cheese on dough but the dough/crust is what makes a pizza stand out. I bought a Stromboli here last night for $29.25 and it was the worst Stromboli I've ever had. The tomato sauce tasted just exactly like it came out of the can... no flavor. If there was one cup of veggies in the Stromboli, that's probably stretching it. The entire inside from the piece I had was so bland. It tasted like Pillsbury refrigerated pizza dough rolled around some veggies and some cheese tossed in. No seasoning at all. The dough itself was so tough, it was barely chewable. When the guy handed me the box with my order, he threw in two small packets of crushed red pepper and two small packets of powdered cheese. Seriously? Furthermore, they accept only cash which means the employees are handling cash, then handling food without washing their hands in between each transaction. I witnessed one of the cooks making a pizza with his bare hands. Where are the gloves? The germs accumulated under fingernails is disgusting and going into every item they make. I am so totally grossed out with this place and very disappointed with my order. In addition, the bathroom door was open with both parts of the toilet seat lifted up. Just what everyone wants to see when they walk into a restaurant! I honestly thought a little hole in the wall pizza joint with a four star review would be better than this. Honestly, I have NEVER had every ounce of my meal be this delicious. I'm a picture poster and I had not even a chance to take one, because it was just that good. Being from Massachusetts the title Masshole is worn proudly by many. We are not known for our kindness....with that being said, I have a high tolerance for rudeness and less than desirable customer service but (some) of the staff Ronnie's seem to find new ways to make one want to never return. The pizza is good, as close to the east coast you can get in yuma.....the rest is so so sub shop food. The steak and cheese has potential but it's so sad that they feel so comfortable to treat patrons with such disregard. read more

My family and I are vacationing in Yuma and were in the mood for pizza, and instead of going with a bigger chain we decided to shop local and support the community, be adventurous and try something new. This pizza is amazing! It was perfect in every way! A little pricey but delicious! But with that being said, they really fall short with their customer service! When I looked on Google for pizza joints we opted for one that delivered since we were pretty wiped out. When I called to confirm if there was a minimum requirement for delivery we were given a sharp response from the woman that they haven't offered delivery in 1.5 years due to COVID, and when I replied that Google and their website imply that they do delivery she made up an excuse that we needed to check Facebook for their operational updates. So thinking that I made a mistake with calling the wrong pizzeria, I reviewed my resources online again to make sure I was ordering from the right pizza joint. After careful consideration we decided to continue with our order and followed up with a second phone call. She was very impatient with me as I placed my order and I informed her that according to their website and Google they do INDEED offer delivery and she went through her whole spiel about how they do their advertising through their Facebook page AGAIN. AND THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I do find that quite baffling that you expect your community to check with Facebook first instead of their online resources or Google! So instead of retaliating and cancelling my order I KEPT IT and AND I showed up and BOUGHT IT instead of being a no-sho. It's a shame because I really did like the pizza but because of your lousy customer service I won't be coming back. I know there are other local pizzerias to support/explore and I would encourage everyone to think twice before supporting this one read more

Had been craving pizza for a while so I decided to come to Ronnie's! Born and raised Yuman and I have had their food before but never gotten it myself. I had their wings and margaeritta pizza with capicola. I gave a three star rating because although their food is pretty good the environment can grow a bit. As I walked in there was a bit of a weird, non-satisfying smell. There was lots of merchandise around (maybe it was stock day) which didn't bother me at all. Okay, now unto the food! Hot Wings: these were pretty good. Wasn't spicy (have a high spice tolerance) yet they were savory, with a kick and pretty good chicken. They were a bit in the softer side so, next time, I'll get them crispy. I'm a fan of them. Margaeritta Pizza w/ Capicola: it was so good! Defintely exceeded my expectations. Coming from Phoenix when I used to study there, there were one that of pizzas there, ine of them being Parma's. I ordered this pizza crispy and with capicola, this was a good pizza. Definetly would come back for more. I do have to mention, although I ordered it with capicola, I felt like I was digging to find the pieces of meat and felt that it was not a sufficient amount for the price payed. I use to be a regular customer at Ronnie's Pizza from 2000 to 2002. I would order pizza from there two to three times a week. It was excellent pizza in a town that didn't have too many places to eat during those years. It was a life saver for me. After 2002 I moved back East, and I always wondered about Ronnie's Pizza. 22 years later I'm back in Yuma for only a short stint. Well, my first meal in Yuma during this short stint was naturally at Ronnie's Pizza, and the pizza is still the same, extremely good. The son run's it now and true to family recipe, the place is an institution. Still as I remembered it. Thank you Ronnie's Pizza for staying consistent. Best pizza in The West. read more

The reason I am giving this a 1 start instead of a 0 star is because their is no 0 star button. First let me say I love pizza, I enjoy it so much I can actually tolerate dominos from the comfort of my own living room. The actual reason I didn't enjoy this place is because the son/grandson Ronnie jr. Has a stuck up attitude towards his employees and customers. It feels like a episode of kitchen nightmares. The kid has some ego, making sarcastic jokes and pushing his limits as to what is tolerable and what's not. If you can't do the job right what's the point in doing it. Have you never heard of the customer is always right! Just give me what I ordered and don't act sarcastic or like you hate your job. Nothing makes me more mad than someone doing a job with no enthusiasm or motivation. Just a word of advice, when you get up in the morning, smile, breathe, tell yourself it will be a good day because your alive and breathing. You have to do that everyday and that will make yourself more tolerable and enjoyable to be around. As far as the food goes, I'm sticking to dominos. read more

Don't know what the full story is here, we really enjoyed this place the previous two winters--pretty authentic New York style pie. Tried him once this year, still pretty good but the price increase was a huge surprise. And the cryptic signs on the door making us feel uncomfortable in our masks were borderline bizarre.
