Pepperoni Stromboli and Happy Bread, each come with one dipping sauce of marinara.

Was recommended Angry Italian by a couple of coworkers and let me tell you NOT DISAPPOINTED! We have been here multiple times since getting it and everytime the food has come out absolutely amazing and all for a great price. The service has been wonderful everytime, the staff is super helpful and great at recommending things if you are unsure of what to try out.

Both the red and white sauces were delicious, with a high amount of flavor that blended nicely with the pizza and Stromboli.

This is one of those hidden gems stashed…read morefrom Main St., and for a small restaurant, it packs a weapons grade A++ for the food and service. For those of us in Phoenix, we'll have to make the trip to Yuma, but it's worth making the drive for a day trip or doing an overnighter. I had the lasagna...an item that was taken off the menu but recommended by the owner (Mario) since they made some that day. It's gone now, and I savored every bite--sorry about that. Besides, a pic wouldn't do justice to the rich layers of piping hot, tender pasta sheets, slathered in hearty meat sauce and creamy béchamel and ricotta. If this is Italian comfort food, I'm all in with the way Mario's crew put this master piece on a plate. This also goes for the caprese, Cacio e pepe, margherita romana, along with the deserts like the tiramisu' de treviso, cherry cannoli siciliani, and even the bread basket is over the top. Again, apologies for the lack of photos, I will say that the visual appeal of each dish matched the flavors, so the food vanished before the thought of a photo op crossed my mind, and I savored every bite--errr, sorry about again. But if I had to make a statement describing the whole dining experience: "the gods smiled". To summarize: -Imported ingredients from Italy -Fresh vegetables -Mellow atmosphere -Service and dialog with Mario -Outstanding food Highly recommended! I'll take pictures and post them next time we dine here.

The warm atmosphere inside can't be beat, friendly staff immediately greet you amongst wine filled walls and Italian treats all around. Located inside the Quarter Master Depot (Colorado River State Historic Park) you get to dine in a historic building that has been beautifully redone to feature this Italian venue. Mario's clear goal is to bring the authentic flavors of his home to you, here in Yuma. My mom and I shared the veggie salad, caprese antipasti (comes with delicious bread) , and a slice each from the slice menu. The textures and portions were just right (no watery or oversalted dishes here!) There's a great selection of Italian wines, and they even do wine tasting events! I'll be back sooner than later.

Pizza is our #1 order/eat out food (we eat it A LOT), so we're pretty darned particular. I give this pizza a 'meh rating. The pizza was cooked well, I enjoyed the way the crusty edge of the pizza was cooked. The sauce was fine, the cheese also fine. The pizza just didn't pop in our opinion. It was that weird time in between lunch and dinner when we went in to pick it up. There were 2 tables seated and no one behind the counter. We stood there for a few minutes before the gal walked up (she wasn't on the floor with the tables, not sure where she came in from). She wasn't particularly friendly, but not impolite, I had to actually tell her why we were there. "We're here to pick up a pizza" and gave her my name. She reached down and picked it up silently and put it on the counter beside her (not in front of us), then printed something and put it in front of me and asked politely for me to sign. We ordered and paid online. I'm always surprised when a business asks us to sign a paper copy - it seems like a waste of staff's time. I was surprised to see a salad bar, I cannot remember the last time I saw one. I almost felt like the sneeze guard was a little higher than it should be, but didn't stop to gander at it because salad bars are a true turn off for me. We'll give it another try at some point and I'll update my review if it deserves an additional star. Thank you for reading my review.

That gray pile of meat on the roll looks nothing like what I expect when somebody claims to be serving a real Philly cheesesteak. Maybe it tastes better than it looks, but visually? Come on. It looks like the kind of processed frozen steak substitute places use when they want the name without putting in the work. And that's what bothers me most. If you want to sell your own version of a steak sandwich, go for it. Call it a Yuma steak, Ronnie's steak, desert beef surprise, whatever you want. But when you start advertising yourself as the "Home of the Philly Cheesesteak," you're inviting people from Philadelphia to judge it by Philadelphia standards. Apparently, plenty of Philly people already have, and the reaction has not been kind. Look up Cheesesteak Gurus a Facebook group of over 100 thousand people. All those people and not one kind word in regard to Ronnies steak sandwich. A cheesesteak doesn't need to be fancy. It needs good chopped beef, a proper roll, melted cheese, and somebody behind the grill who understands what they're making. This thing looks like somebody heard about cheesesteaks through a friend who once had a layover at the Philadelphia airport. Ronnie's may sell sandwiches. Ronnie's may even sell sandwiches people in Yuma enjoy. But calling that thing an authentic Philly cheesesteak? Absolutely not. Philadelphia rejects this application.
