I can't say enough about this place! I walked in without an appointment or phone call to see if my iPhone could be repaired. My phone was dropped and had a cracked screen and I was fully prepared to drop it off and pick it up on another day. Surprisingly, Ron told me that I could either wait or come back in 30 minutes because he could fix it on the spot. I chose to come back and within 1/2 hour, my iPhone was repaired and just like new. Ron and his wife provide excellent customer service, prompt repair and are humble people who made what otherwise was not a fun situation into a great consumer experience. Warning! If you have an issue other than your typical screen / battery replacement, go somewhere else! January 15th, 4:30 pm - I needed a usb port replaced on a Galaxy S5 and after calling this place, Ron assured me that he could do it and it should take about 45 minutes. I dropped off the phone and he stated that he would fix it by the next morning and that he would call January 16th 1100 pm - Ron states that he needs to order a part and that he will the next day when it's ready. I thank him for the call. January 17th 2pm - I call to check on the status. He states the part is still not in and that he would call and it should be ready by Monday. January 18th - 11am - My wife goes into the store and he asks if we have insurance on the phone. He states the phone is getting hot when on the charger. My wife asks if he would explain what the problem is and insults her that she wouldn't understand. He needs more time. January 19th - no calls January 20th - I go in to see whats going on. I ask for the status of the phone and after looking for about 5 minutes, he finds it. He asks if I have insurance on the phone. I tell him "Why would I bring it to you if I had insurane"? I tell him to put the phone back the way it was. We are unable to check the phone because the battery is dead. I take the battery back home to charge it (he has no spare batteries?). January 21st. We take the battery back to check on the phone. Of course, the doesn't work now. I tell him to put the phone back the way it was when we dropped it off. January 22nd - The phone is given back and back to square one with one little hiccup. The glass screen is put back unevenly. He advertises he is the only certified repair person in town. Looking at his credentials at the store, the only certification I saw was from Nokia (such a popular phone these days) and one crumpled up certification from the Fiji Islands. read more

9 weeks and still waiting for a call back regarding the repairing of my Iphone camera. He told me that the parts were on back order 6 weeks ago have not heard back from him since. Finally took the phone elsewhere to have the repairs done. parts were ordered and repairs made within 3 days. I have been to Ron on several occasions (broken screen and such). I have been very very happy with the service. Surprised to see the negative reviews because I have only experienced excellent service that was fairly quick and reasonably priced. One of my serviced phones was a Lumia 1520 which came back looking and behaving like new. Also had a Sony Experia Z1 that was also repaired and now like new. Do not use Ron's Phone service. Apparently he has closed the shop and is now using a mobile service. He uses incredibly cheap parts for phone repair and charges nearly full OEM prices. The glass on my iPhone 7 was replaced with what I later learned was $12.50 piece of glass. It didn't work well, had shadows, colors were off. Took it back and Ron said he would order OEM. Many months later, it still wasn't in. I've given up. There are many other options for cell phone repair in Modesto. I would never consider using his service again. read more

I broke my iPad and was concerned when Apple told me the whole iPad would have to be replaced. 599$ ouch! So I wanted to see if it can be repaired, and most shops either wanted $400+ and wait for 3 weeks for the part to come in. Or they had a cheap part that you could tell was not original. I heard of Rons Phone Doctor through a friend and I'm happy with the work, and although I waited a few days for the part, it wasn't outrageously expensive and you can't even tell it's not original. LIAR/RUDE/THIEF He said he could fix the glass on my s3 for $80 and it would be done in 2 hours. 4 hours later, he called me to get the phone, charged $86 and the PHONE WAS IN WORSE CONDITION than when I dropped it off. He refused to give me a refund or to fix the phone properly. When I told him it was not done right, he called me stupid and walked away. I will never go here again!! read more

My Mother's tablet had a stuck power button that rendered the unit useless. After traveling around to 5 businesses, she was directed to Ron's Phone doctor. She was greeted right away by a friendly man who was ready to help. Within minutes, he had the power button fixed, and explained to my Mom that she will have to be careful with the button, and gave her a tip to keep it from happening again. And he said he will call me once it's ready to pickup. But he never did call or fixed it. Do NOT take your phone here! Before I go into my actual experience, let me just say I should have listened to the negative reviews. If you notice most of his positive reviews are from people who only have like 2 or 3 other reviews, probably friends or needed simple iPhone repairs which anyone can do with a little spare time and some YouTube tutorials. If you choose to go here anyway against my and the other real reviewer's advice, please notice that his "electronics repair" certification is from Fiji from 1997 when none of our phones were even invented yet. Stupid me, red flag flying right at my face and I missed it. This guy is really nice and soft spoken when you meet him & I have a small business so in was trying to help out a small business, but he is a crook.I had him replace the screen on my LG G2, it came back to me not properly seated or sealed. I asked him why the glass edges felt sharp, he said It was bc my phone was scratched up- which HE did by the way, trying to pry the screen off. I thought maybe I was just being super anal and maybe a replacement just wouldn't feel like the original and went home. Later that evening as I was on my phone, I noticed light leaking out from the edges where It wasn't properly sealed. When I took in this phone, I had left another which he was supposed to look at and call me back on within a week, so I figured I'd just have him fix It when I picked up phone two. Well, It took THREE weeks of calling and waiting (i don't live in modesto, but there are no repair shops close to me) and calling and waiting until I finally drove to check on it in person only to have him tell me he never found the problem on phone 2. But for some reason he couldn't call to tell me that FOR THREE WEEKS. He agreed to reset the screen on phone 1 and When I picked it up an hour later, it wasn't put back together properly, I had to go back upstairs to have him do it, and glue/adhesive was left hanging off the side of my phone. At this point I was just tired of dealing with him and seeing his face, I didn't even turn either phone on, just left incredibly upset. When I do finally get home & turn my phone on, he has left three highly noticeably little black burn dots or adhesive residue between the digitizer and screen. PLUS now my phone's knock on feature will not work and it randomly shuts on and off. If I wasn't scared he'd mess my phone up even more I'd have demanded he did it again, but I'm afraid I just won't have a phone after that. Phone two is now also malfunctioning in New ways. They're just phones, its not worth the time or effort to pursue legal action, but I hope I can at least save someone else from the frustration and waste of money and time. I was so mad I could have cried. As a fellow mom and pop, I try to support others over the big stores and I would never trash another over a simple issue, but this guy is seriously a dirtbag- professionally at least. This is a life saving man! He practically gave CPR to my phone and he saved its life! My phone nearly drowned in the toilet (clean btw I didn't pee yet ) but I rushed it out of the bowl in 5 secs! The damage was done :( I didn't read about not hooking it up to the charger so dumb me plugged it right away on the charger! I thought I killed it for sure wouldn't turn on and having a panic attack because I had it for 3 days not to mention I didn't have a phone for about a week too! Stressing out I found Dr. Ron and he check it out and opened it up, dried it out and worked his magic! Waiting in the waiting room while the Dr did his operating he finally got done! Not going to lie I thought it was toast because he told me to reset this black screen dead phone on recovery mode when I got home.So I went home did that but waited 2 hrs no luck disappointed just a picture of a apple logo on it, I went to work 4 mins late and sad all day. This guy has never disappointed me! Has fixed cracked screens for us several times, within the time frame he quoted, and for a very reasonable price. The most recent one he fixed was the most valuable. Sprint told me my phone was irreparable and "unfortunately breaking your phone sometimes means losing information and pictures." Brought my dead new BlackBerry to Ron where I was turned away by another phone repair service. Explained situation to him and noted I flashed many rom/os on many phones and this was the 1st time I had a phone not flash. He took it on anyway and would give it his best shot. i took my iphone 5c in for repair on the screen and was told that he uses all oem parts on the phones. he uses knock offs on the phones and now my receiver (ear phone) does not work on the phone and wanted to charge me to fix the issue. please save your money because if you dont know any better like i did not know you will be burned and there is nothing you can do about it. i see all these good reviews on here thats why i went. every phone that went there has bs parts on them now. and it is posted in office that he uses oem parts but he does not he is a lie and a fraud!!! if you need help please do research and see if the place is authorized to do repairs on the kind of phone that you have. i hope this real review helps somebody so they dont get burned like i did!!! read more

I accidentally dropped my daughter's iPad mini on cement, cracked the glass and dented a corner of the metal frame. It required a complicated repair and took a little over 48 hours to get it back, but it looks like new. So I'm happy. Cost me $110. read more
