I've had several trees cut and or pruned in the past on a large piece of commercial property but never able to watch. The team at Ron's Tree Service is fantastic! They did an emergency removal of an 80-foot maple tree (rotting at the base) that threatened to hit our home, and they did it at night. Not only did they safely remove the dangerous tree, but during the process, they were very considerate of protecting our property while they worked. The tree overhung our fence and other yard fixtures, and the team politely asked if they could move things out of the way to avoid damage. They did so with care, and even though they took that care, one of the falling tree limbs did do some damage to our fence. I watched Ron's Tree Service take down two of my neighbors oak trees and then my multi-trunk ash tree. The guys are very hard workers, professional, conscious of landscape and scrubs, friendly, excellent clean up of sticks, clips, and leaves, and very observant for safety. These guys are great. They came out and gave an estimate before leaving. They scheduled as close to when I wanted as possible and were great when I had to change the date. They showed up on time, double checked the work to be done, were professionals in every way. The pricing was right in there. We had a tree removed, 28 stumps removed, 5 large piles of brush removed and two trees crowned/safety trimmed. We will use them next year to trim our trees again. They are good. read more

Ron's tree service is a great company, the estimator Brice knew exactly which tree had to be trimmed and which one should come down. If you need to have your power line down Ron has to make an appointment for Puget Power to come so you have to wait a while. I wish I would of know them when so many of my trees came down in the wind burst I had. They come right away for emergency and work with insurance. The climber was amazing his name is Dane. Cody and Zach took care of all the branches and of all the cleaning. I would highly recommend this company! read more

While on site to provide an estimate, Ron was very professional and also great to talk to. He noticed a tree I didn't even know was diseased and explained why it needed to come down. He explained how to care for a damaged tree we wanted to keep alive. He not only knows how to cut trees - he knows the science of how trees live. The actual work was scheduled and performed on the same day. I came home from work and the trees I wanted cut down were neatly cut down, and all limbs were removed as agreed to. Ron's Stump Removal did a job recently in my neighbors yard and damaged my fence in the process. I confronted them at the time of the job and told them that if they give me the money to do the repairs, I would take care of it. I had a timeline where I needed the fence repaired before shoulder replacement surgery and after not hearing from them, I scrounged through some lumber I had purchased for another project and fixed the bottom rail of my fence. I found a fence board that was weathered the same as the damaged boards but I am still missing two fence boards as three boards were destroyed along with a 1x trim board that was destroyed. I wanted the fence fixed before my surgery and I ended up doing a basic repair and from the owners message, she made me feel like it was my fault. The owner called the day before my surgery and said she could send a couple of her crew over the next day. I told her I didn't want them on my property when I'm in the hospital and I had done a makeshift repair. The owner did offer to make good however, I made it no secret that I had a timeline to fix the fence and after I gave them a list of materials, I did not hear from them for a week. The entire week before my surgery was consumed with making sure I had three months of potential issues covered due to the extended recovery after shoulder replacement. I did tell her I would post a negative review as I feel there was no excuse for leaving me in the lurch. The owner sent me a message after posting my original review saying there was miscommunication on my part and suggesting I was being unreasonable. Again, I made it clear when I needed the fence repaired and had offered to fix it if they covered the cost of the materials. The miscommunication was they ignored me for a week and I feel that was unacceptable. I suspect her workers denied or minimized the damage to my fence and that's why there was no communication from them. I am posting a picture of the hole that was blasted through my fence in case the owner doesn't believe me. I'm on a fixed income and at this time I will absorb the cost of the damage however, I reserve the right to post a negative review for "poor customer service" . read more

They were smart about securing the dangerous trees outside and removing the trees from our roof. They tarped our roof to prevent water damage until the insurance adjuster could respond. My only experience with Ron's Stump Removal and Tree Service started out great, but that's as far as it went. Neighbors had a large maple branch break free and land on our shared fence on the 7th of April. They called Ron's, and an Estimator responded fast. While he was there I asked if he had the time to look at a maple in our front yard for removal, and also look at a corkscrew willow that we wanted pruned. He checked them out, got my information (email, cell, and address) and said he would be in touch. After not hearing anything, I phoned the company on the 13th to see how things were coming along. I was asked to leave a message and they would contact me. About an hour later I received a call from a female who again took all my info, and asked what I was looking to get done. I explained what I was looking to get done to her again, and she said someone should be getting with me shortly. On the 18th, I called again, as I had not had any contact from them. I spoke with a male who again asked for all my info, what I was looking to get done, and said someone would be getting with me soon. About an hour later I received a call from a female, who said the estimator that was at our house two weeks ago had been out a couple days. She apologized and said someone will take care of it, and thanks for my patience. I am writing this on the morning of the 24th and I still have not heard anything. I spoke to my neighbors yesterday, and they too had not heard back from them, and they will be calling someone else for the work. They seem to have decent reviews, so perhaps this is just a fluke? But 18 days to return an estimate on a tree removal, seems a bit excessive. And that is with me speaking to them on 4 different occasions after the initial visit. Time to move on I guess. Something as simple as a phone call has lost two peoples business, and anyone else in the neighborhood that asks me for referrals. read more
