Roof Masters installed a rubber roof over the flat portion of our roof and it leaked from day one. They came to fix it three times and it eventually stopped leaking. Two years later it leaked again. We have had two estimates from new roofing companies who stated it needs to be replaced. They never glued it properly and did not tape it. They used the wrong drip edge and they never used a fiberboard over the plywood. We have filed a complaint with Maine Attorney General. There are numerous complaints against them. Do not use Roof Masters! 1 year after I hired them for a new roof installation, I now have mold and a leaky roof. First they ignored my calls, then they told me they wouldn't repair or cover their workmanship! Bad workmanship and even worse business practice. Please don't waste your money. Total hack job on an EPDM replacement. The lack of detail and basic flat roof installation technique left me with a maintenance nightmare.

Only responsive to calls when getting your money for the contract. The crew is poor detail and poor workmanship. After payment made no response to contact. Job done 2023 and we have a 10 year warranty but we cannot get service for issues we have with the roof. DO NOT HIRE!! read more

Absolutely no communication between Roof Masters and customer. We were given no less than 6 'promised' start dates. There was a different 'reason' every time all of which were seemingly out of their control. Bottom line, they don't have the staff to do the job but they sure do have the staff to do estimates. We had to chase them down to the point we were threatening them with legal action-then we'd get a call back. When the shingles were finally delivered the driver told us there was no way there was enough to do our roof. After almost three months of run around, we had them remove the materials from our yard. We gave the acting sales representative of Roofmasters, Windham, Maine, Kevin Bowie, a check deposit of $1,000 with a lead time of 30 days to get us on their schedule. It was a simple roof reshingle that would take 1-1.5 days. I was told it would be no problem, an easy job, but the crew never showed up, at all, even after 4 times re-scheduling with me. The communication was almost non-existent and the excuses of no shows were enough for me to terminate the contract after 60 days due to non performance. I am in the process to legally retrieve our deposit and I will be the burr under the saddle. You will never speak with the owner of roofmasters and there is virtually no way in contacting anyone even with the 6 or 7 phone numbers they have listed online. read more

Sunday, May 9th 2021 (Mothers Day) at 2pm in true Roof Masters fashion, a crew showed up after business hours on a weekend with out notice to repair the mess they created the first time they came out. We already had plans as it was Mother's Day so as we were leaving we notice one of the guys standing on my porch table using it as a stool all while a ladder is less then 5' away. I took a picture and told them to get off my table. When we returned home an hour later the crew was gone and upon inspecting we notice a piece of metal on our canopy over our grill with about a 6" rip in it and sharp metal pieces all over the ground. I emailed the owner with pictures and his response was "why did you take a picture and not talk to them? This is getting ridiculous." I was also told by the owner that "I'm a disgusting human and he has done all he is going to do." It has been a complete circus from the get go with this company. DO YOUR HOMEWORK! read more

They came knocking on the door trying to drum up business. They said they could do it cheaply since they were in the area and wouldn't have to move their equipment, which consisted of a truck and trailer. They started the job the following day and the circus started. The owner Dave spent most of the day screaming at his help and actually fired a guy while there doing the job. They crew did more damage then they fixed. They shingled the main part of the house and put rubber roof on the addition because of lack of pitch. The rubber was supposed to be one piece but ended up being 4. They didn't do the seams properly on the rubber and it leaked everywhere. Now the addition roof is structurally getting bad and black mold is everywhere. They refuse to fix the problem or even discuss it. So as it turns out the warranty they offered of 10 years was useless at year 6. Do yourself a favor and find a better roofing company. The owner is a scam artist!! read more

Master Roofers did a great job. They do the job in a timely manner. Roof looks great, clean up was good. I would recommend them.

The best roofing company, all the staff was very professional and was not overpriced. They worked with my insurance company and stayed true to the original quote. Would definitely refer this company and will use them again for all my roofing needs. read more

Stay away from these people like the plague. The salesman would be better suited selling used cars. Lemons at that. The price just keeps coming down until you say yes. You are not getting a deal. The actually roofers will be trying to get in and get out as fast as they possibly can with little regard for quality work. The 5 year warrantee isn't worth the paper it is written on. Apparently when the salesman tells you about the warrantee and how this insures they do a good job the first time... what he really meant to say was that they won't be calling you back or ever showing up again once they have your money. Cannot vouch for their work, as the communication was so minimal, as was the interest in getting our business, that we never got that far. After the Halloween storm business was booming for them, no doubt, but that is no excuse for the lack of communication. Avoid this business at all costs. Allegedly repaired our roof, and cashed our check. however, none of the neighbors saw the "repair." and we returned to our house to find water pouring in. So far, RoofMasters of Maine has failed to show for two scheduled appointments for their phony one - year warranty service. read more
