I had an unpleasant experience contacting this contractor. I asked Roof Rite for 3 recent references. I contacted 6 local roofing companies at the same time for references. 10 days later this was the only one not to supply them. When I texted to remove my request he hadn't supplied the refs he said he would send. He was unapologetic and rude accusing me of not providing him with information even though prior he said I'd get my refs. I had contacted him at 630pm, he continued texting me until nearly 10pm. This contractor is unprofessional. I was checking him out more. He doesn't have his cslb license posted and he has some very bad reviews here under the not recommended reviews on Yelp I never realized were there sort of hidden. Gabor is very fast to respond, friendly and he was able to work out an affordable price for me to fix a leak I had on the roof and do some general maintenance on the roof. I called him on Saturday and had the work done by Tuesday. Another Roofer had cancelled 3 different dates with me in 2 weeks and my roof had been leaking at the vent seams and starting to stain the ceiling inside the house. As another storm was heading here the next day Gabor sent one of his employees, Raymond here from Palmdale. He was here by 3:30pm and had sealed all the vents within an hour that same day. Our roof had a leak, along with some repairs by the previous homeowner that were substandard (and very unaesthetic). We contacted Roof-Rite for an estimate to repair the leak, and to remove the old repair work (including a lot of tar) and bring it up to standard. Gabor promptly came out to the house, took lots of roof photos, explained why the the roof was leaking at the specific location, and how he would repair each section. He followed up with a very detailed email quote containing marked-up photos showing the repair on each roof area. The quoted price was very reasonable for the amount of work involved, which included replacing some cement tiles with what ended-up being an exact match with the 35 year old tiles on the original roof. Gabor and his crew were a pleasure to work with - all very knowledgeable and skilled at their craft. We're very happy with the repairs and the warranty. read more
