Young kid came out, I was unavailable to answer the door and tells my wife your tile roof is 16 you only have 2 more years left on expected life so I'm not going to be able to do a repair... No physical inspection was done! Completely tried to take advantage and lied to my wife! I got on the doorbell camera and told this kid to get lost (I was at least pleasant about it)! He saw the house and tried to completely take advantage and rip us off in my opinion! Tile should last 26-30 yrs according to a few other roofers I spoke with. So to state 18yrs I would "probably" need a new roof he should know if he quotes them that the average life is between 26-30yrs... just odd he didn't want to reschedule and was fast to say I'll quote you a new roof without ever getting on the roof! I then called the owner and notified him... I'd be very careful with these guys get other bids don't just "TRUST" what they tell you is accurate! In my case it was not, Two other companies said my roof is in the best shape for ONLY being 16 year old TILE... had I not had the construction knowledge I have and not spoke with two other REPUTABLE COMPANIES and just trusted this guy I could be out 60,000 dollars! I hope this review never allows this to happen again for them and everyone who reads it should do some research first! To the owner; In response to your comments, no one said what I was sick with so don't assume and deflect blame from your statements, it appears you're being accusatory in a slanderous tone, I don't appreciate that. You're correct stating your employee didn't look at the roof and said we would need a new one, he did not offer to reschedule nor did he call on the way it slipped our minds you had scheduled to come out after Christmas. There was no ill will or intention to harm anyone. He was in fact far enough away from the door when she let him know "I" was sick, she was not sick. It was his choice to approach her to hand a card to her. with what you assume and accuse me of putting your employee in danger and to do bodily harm that was never the case nor is that true, I had planned to let him know via telecom he was "in my opinion" trying to Rip us off! Never did I have intention nor did I say I was going to harm your employee! Your statement is slanderous and will be reviewed by my attorney. You're trying to deflect the facts and you're also using them and twisting them against me in a slanderous attempt. I hired one of the other contractors so I didn't waste there time, I always get 3-4 bids.. had I had you come out first and not got anyone else I'd be stuck with a bid for a new roof thinking I needed to replace it based on what I was told by your guy.. I'm so glad that wasn't the case. I'll look forward to your attorneys letter as you threatened me via messenger so I would remove my review. Very competitive price and the workers were very hard working and professional. They demolished the roof and applied a waterproof underlayment in a little over one day and a few weeks later (given some rain delay) were back to install the standing seam metal roof in just a little over one day. Roofs for life installed a new roof on my double wide manufactured home and I could not be happier. They gave me a terrific price (lowest of the three estimates I obtained) but more importantly they used the latest technology in installing my roof. Two of the other higher estimates were using 15 lbs felt and then the shingles. Roofs for life used a watertight peal-n-stick underlayment which I was unfamiliar with. I checked it out and it got totally great reviews as being better than felt. It was put on the same day, along with a new skylight, as the old roof was removed and from that point on my roof was watertight. 30 year shingles were then put on the next day.
