Any company that cannot respect simple preference and direction is not a company I would do business with. When there is a sign posted at the front of both entrances to our community, several homeowners that have already told you this is a no solicitation community before me to the point they post it in the community FB page and a no solicitation sign above the doorbell you chose to ring .... it's a no for me. Steadfast Roofing was honest and professional throughout the process. My current roof has concrete tiles, while all of my previous homes had shingle roofs, so I was not very familiar with this type of roofing. They could have easily taken advantage of that lack of experience, but they handled everything with integrity. When I noticed a few slipped tiles and some cracks, Patrick came out, completed an inspection, and clearly explained what needed to be repaired. They did a shingle roof replacement on my single-family house. About a $20,000 job. They were excellent every step of the way. They didn't require a deposit. At the end, their guys had some kind of magnetic rakes to pick up any stray nails that were on the property, and they seemed to be pretty diligent in using them. This is the best experience I have had with a roofing company. I was in the process of buying a house and the home inspector advised getting a separate roof inspection done. It was a 3-story townhouse near an active runway, which made it tricky, and our home inspector was not able to see much detail while using a pole-mounted camera to inspect the roof himself. I selected Steadfast for a roof repair due to their high rating of 5 stars. I scheduled a quote for the next day, during which I received an estimate to replace two skylights and fix a roof leak. I returned the signed quote via email within an hour. Subsequent communication issues arose, including difficulties in scheduling a specific time for the repairs, with an initial estimate of "sometime in the middle of next week" being provided without further clarification. Upon follow-up, there was confusion regarding receiving the signed quote, which I had emailed back immediately. They took no accountability and scheduled the repair for a Saturday now. Post-repair, it was noted that precautions to protect the interior from the debris were not taken, resulting in a considerable mess and shingle nails found within the home for days after. I've done contract work for years, and the job was very unprofessional, but this is Florida, so I am getting used to it.
