I have always been a fan of Rook's coffee, their granola bars and scones I enjoy as well. The coffee is typically on point. I usually go towards a medium or dark roast, each cup is brewed fresh. On my last visit I ordered a pumpkin style (I think that's what they call it) and I was disappointed. I'm not even sure what it tasted like. It wasn't coffee and it wasn't pumpkin or pumpkin spice, it was just weak overall. Live and learn, I'll stay away from that flavor going forward. The store itself is cool, with concrete flooring and very industrial style with lots of reclaimed wood and metal. Service for the most part is good, I'd love to know where they get all these hipster employees with various piercings and odd tattoos. To sum it up Rook has good coffee, sometimes the wait is a little longer than I'd like bc each cup is brewed fresh which is actually a good thing. Service can be a bit off at times but it's usually good overall. I am a fan of Rook and I recommend giving them a try and don't bother with that Starbucks across the street. read more

Love Rook!!! This place does get very crowded and a bit chaotic with the setup. However, their limited edition cold brew flavors are so worth the wait. They roast the beans with extracts for their limited edition flavors so you don't get ANY syrup taste to the coffee - which is extremely smooth. Right now they have Toffee and it's super tasty. I would highly recommend this place and they are blowing up - so must be doing something right. I got a Rook pin to put on my denim jacket because DUH - fashion. I love love love this place! They have a great variety, including decaf options. The staff really knows their coffee, and they are all incredibly friendly. The coffee is all pour over, which is amazing. I'm currently addicted to their pumpkin spice. Which has no added fake syrup flavors like other coffee places. It's all spices. They have a great variety of milks to choose from. Including non-dairy options. They also have carry regular white sugar and sugar in the raw. The service is fast and proficient. If you are on the go, you can even text your order ahead of time. They have bagels and scones available. I've never tried the scones but their bagels are pretty good! They offer many specialty coffee blends from all over the world like Nicaragua Sumatra New Orleans etc and they're all great. Each cup is made individually in front of you and everything is so robust and full of flavor. It's a little intimidating at first because you don't know exactly how it works and they're choices are all written on a blackboard but it's pretty cool. I guess what they do is change their available flavored on a daily basis. I cannot stress enough how good each cup is.
