My favorite spot when my best friends took me staff really nice love the coffee and the bagel

We visit a new coffee spot each weekend. Upon entering the place is cute and there is a good amount of seating. The menu isn't anything fancy but was easy to understand. We typically look for a specialty drink sign or display, which they didn't have. Figured we'd keep it basic and get an iced latte with a flavored syrup. Unfortunately, we were very underwhelmed and couldn't taste any espresso in our drinks. The people working here were nice. Before coming, we reached out to ask if we could bring our dog, but we're told not to hang out only if it is a to go order. We did notice a guest was sitting inside with her dog on her lap, so that was confusing. This didn't hit the mark for us, but I know people have different preferences. read more

I love it here. At first I thought I only liked it because it's walking distance from our house, and now that I think about it a little more I realize I think they made me addicted to their coffee. Oh well I'll take it. My favorite days are when they have the crumb cake, bring those babies up to the beach and you're guaranteed a good day. Also the people who work there go out of the way to be friendly, it's almost concerning... did they actually brainwash me with the coffee? I guess that's a possibility. ‍ read more

A great local coffee shop to relax and have a delicious cup or take one on the go. Plenty of seating both inside and out, nicest crew who always greet everyone with a smile! They roast in house and always willing to take the time and show how it's done! There is a good chance that if you have a coffee after dinner at a local restaurant, Turnstile supplied them! So I've been twice and every time I have just been treated so wonderful by the crew here. The people here seem to love what they are doing. The roasters talk casually to regulars and new patrons. I ask questions at the register and they answer and give insight to what I might enjoy. The first time I came during closing unknowingly. They still let me try the cold brew and make a to go order. I didn't want to put them out. I didn't catch his name but the guy cleaning up was so helpful and let me and my two friends grab the nitro cold brew to go. So when in the area I definitely made it out during hours to try the side car. A fun coffee idea especially if you feeling like being super caffeinated. That was my plan! Lol the inside and out is super comfortable and I was able to sit out with my friend to catch up with her pup. I highly recommend stopping by this great local spot. I plan on buying some beans for home on my next visit. read more

Walked over for a post lunch coffee. The gal at the counter was nice and helpful with our order. The space is spacious with lots of places to sit and enjoy coffee/bites/sweets solo or with friends. They coffee roast was pretty good, biscotti was tasty and the vibe is welcoming. read more

Another positive coffee experience! Visited this place on our way to Tiny Greenhouse at Brick and we enjoyed being caffeinated here lol We love that they have their own parking space and there's lots of it! My husband enjoys cycling and he mentioned he liked that they have bike stands outside too so its perfect for bikers/cyclists who would love to stop by here. For our drinks we got a latte and cappucinno and both were very good. May be hard to tell which one is which but as soon as we figured which one had more foam we were good lol the latte art was a big bonus for us. We were so impressed by it. A little bubbly but otherwise the art was beautiful and detailed. The indoor setup was also warm and cozy. Really a nice place to spend some time and chill. However they close early at 12nn. We did not feel rushed though and all the staff who were there that day were friendly and polite. Would love to visit again if we're ever around the area. read more

The staff at this cafe is SO friendly! Just found this gem-everything cup of coffee is fresh brewed with a pour over method. Fun to watch it being made and delicious to drink! I drink decaf, so to have a delicious cuppa' is a rare find!! read more

Went here twice within the past two days so ya, I'd say we were impressed. The first time I got an iced coconut latte. It was good, but didn't have strong flavor, so if you like sweeter or strong flavors, you may want to ask for more. The vanilla which my mom and sister got was also pretty tame. Today I tried one of their many pour over options aaand wow, that's the star here. I had the Papua New Guinea, and slurped it down without any cream or sugar - deeelish! Shop has very cool vibes, and the set up is nice and open. Unfortunately, the baristas weren't wearing masks, but otherwise, this place is as good as it gets! read more

Usually the service and coffee are phenomenal. But recently the mocha I ordered tasted watery and like they forgot the mocha. Visiting Belmar for a short beach vacation, walked to Turnstile for some morning coffee. In and out in 5 minutes, quick and extremely friendly. Only got a cappuccino but there were many options and looked to be quite a few different orders with people sitting inside. Fantastic. It's a solid 4 all around. Coffee selection was wide ranging and I love their pour overs. A bit on the pricy side but it's quality. They have some pastries as well and the space is pretty large for a coffee shop. A mix of people doing work and chatting. Plenty of parking as well. read more

Yikes. Had a sumatra pour over and a decaf. Both ordered with sugar, neither had any sugar when we got them, no biggie i have sugar in the car for just such an emergency. Sumatra was thin and watery, with a lemony sour taste. Ugh. Ok the decaf has to be better right, nope. Watery flavorless ,just tastes like no frills walmart coffee. Not sure what happened. Staff is super for friendly, product was awful for us today. Your mileage may vary but ill be going elsewhere. read more

My wife and I stopped in and I was immediately greeted by the Barista Spencer. He was extremely nice and helpful. I ordered the Iced Americano which was delicious. My wife had the iced Wild Berry Hibiscus that she loved. The shop itself was beautifully designed and the owner actually was present and came by to make sure our experience was a good one. After having breakfast at Point Beach, my friend and I felt like hitting up a nearby coffee house. Just a 10 minute ride up 71, there is this upscale looking mom and pop coffee house that lets you forget about DD or Starbucks for a change. Turnstile is specializing the Nitro Cold Brew coffee. There is some sort of process of introducing nitrogen while brewing their coffee. Served on tap like beer, you get a multi layer color in your cup with a nice foam head on top. Nice bold, smooth flavor comparable to a cold Guiness, with more coffee and chocolate berry flavor. I didn't have to doctor it up with any milk or sugar. If I only come back here again for a nitro, that would be more than enough. read more

This place is a coffee shop, but they take it up a notch. They are trendy and modern. They have taken some of the neat ideas that local beer breweries have and integrated them into the way they serve coffee. For instance, they have growlers and nitro coffee on tap. My buddy and I both ordered the nitro coffee. It stood on its own. You didn't even need to add cream or sugar. That's when you know the coffee itself is higher quality. They invested in the decor. Even the bathrooms are clean and modern. It may be a Belmar address, but it feels more like a Wall Twp establishment. The crowd can be a little stuffy. However, I like how you can just get a cup of coffee, sit, and enjoy, without having to feel rushed out by a waitress. I would be interested in learning to what extent that they roast the beans themselves. "Roasters" is in the name, and they have a big roaster machine on display. But somehow I am not sure whether the beans are actually roasted there. read more

We stopped in on a Monday morning around 9:00. Inside wasn't crowded at all , they also had seating outside under a tent. The place was non stop traffic though. My americano was good as was my wife's chia tea. We shared an almond croissant and a toasted sesame bagel with butter. Both were good, not the best I've ever had but I grew up in North Jersey where you have some excellent bakeries and bagel shops so my standards are kind of high in both of these areas ha ha. While enjoying our breakfast we watched as an employee roasted and bagged coffee to send out to retail customers. Pretty cool. read more

By far and a way one of the best coffee joints in the jersey shore/Monmouth county area. Two key features here: Great Coffee and Great atmosphere. They roast a premium selection of coffee beans on the premise in a real deal "turnstile coffee roaster". I'm a big fan of cappuccino and espresso, and these guys have it down. There are a few other coffee places around that serve a cappuccino, but most don't compare to the quality, flavor, and most of all, the consistency, that this place serves up. The atmosphere is awesome too. Its much larger then other spots nearby so there is usually a spot to sit and indulge in an aromatic cafe, crank out some work emails, read a book, or chat with your mate. The wood furniture, brick walls, leather couch, and burlap bags of coffee, and smiling baristas, all add to the charm. read more

Best coffee shop I've ever been to in NJ! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the perfect place to just sit down and have a nice conversation with friends. The menu has a large variety of different coffees and they have a nice display of pastries to offer. We tried the avocado toast and the almond croissant which was delicious! It is a family own business and they are super friendly. If you get the chance to talk to one of them, they will fill your mind with knowledge on their amazing fresh coffee. Was looking for a local coffee shop while in the area for a short holiday, and found this gem of a place. Ample parking, nice decor and seating, roasts in house (!) and carries a good variety, friendly staff... felt the love of the place as we entered. I tried the medium cappuccino, which had more milk to my liking, but the after taste had me yearning for more. Came back the next day to grab a bag and to try the macchiato, which was excellent. On the way to and back from the beach area, one can't do wrong by visiting this roaster... especially if you don't want to settle for the ordinary. read more
