If you want poor customer service this is the place to go. I'm 78 and bought a stand up recliner to assist me. It broke and R2G basically gave me a 6 month window to expect repairs. I filed a BBB complaint of course knowing BBB is really nothing but another review site selling ratings to business. After the company offered solution to send replacement chair but said would no longer honor warranty. R2G also refused to tell me who made the chair so I am also not able to arrange any potential future repairs. The warranty is a manufacture warranty so how do I contact the maker of the chair? I also have a purchased extended warranty and don't know what the status is of that however I assume legally R2G has no legal right to interfere with a contact I have with a third party. we have been excellent customers for over 15 years. house flooded and usued the new port ritchey store for our furniture. terrible decision because every item needed or still needs replacement. the s h aq chair is garbage. the first one had a minor squeaky noise and because they were replacing my wife's chair they sent a new shaq chair for me. it was waayy worse than the first and after hearing the chair over the phone they agreed to replace it (i wanted a refund) the 3rd chair squeaky too! they don't return calls and they have said they do not refund my money. be very careful because they don't make the furniture to last! 8k bed is garbage and zero help after spending another 2k for softer mattress. done with rooms to go and will not recommend them again! not a happy customer! read more

So very disapointed & sad with Rooms to Go! Paid a LOT of money for the Harper blue sectional 6 months ago, still bothers me. The color is NOT the color or material quality on supposedly same sectional in showroom!! Beware! After calling customer service, they sent someone to check out the Harper blue sectional. The RTG guy agreed with me, it was NOT the same color or material! So I thought for sure they would exchange it for the one in showroom. Delivery drivers brought the wrong couch today after hours of phone calls and being placed on hold I was finally able to speak to the sales person who wrote down the order. She did nothing but argue with me and told me 10 times that she worked there 18 years. She went on amd on about herself and how she would never order the wrong piece of furniture I finally stayed I want to Tx u a picture of my sectional I ordered she continued to argue with me I sent the picture and she said You didn't order that couch. My mother was with me at the store as we sat on the couch ordering it from this lovely lady who is never wrong or makes a mistake. My rating for Rooms to Go has gone from 5 stars to 0 stars. It has now been 5 months since we were in Rooms 2 Go and spent over $8,000 for living room and bedroom furniture. I bought a sofa with 2 cell phone charging units. Neither one of them worked. I have had 4 technicians come out to try to fix them. The first one had taken my entire couch apart and after he left, I found a bunch of screws, nuts and bolts on the floor (Seriously!!) and the charging units still didn't work. Then another technician came out and tried to play with it and still couldn't get it to work. The 3rd technician came out, spent 30 seconds looking at it and confirmed it didn't work (Duhhhh!) and said he would order a new charging unit. I reminded him to order two. Well, he only ordered one so I had to wait an additional 2 weeks for the second unit to arrive. I didn't open the packages because if there was something missing or broken I didn't want them to blame me (by this time I had absolutely no faith in Rooms 2 Go). So the guy opens the two packages and sure enough the wiring is screwed up on both so he can't do anything. Great quality control they have at Rooms 2 Go!! So he tells me that he is going to order a whole new middle section to my sofa and that's what should have been done to begin with. So he tells me to call Rooms 2 Go when it arrives and make a 5th appt for Rooms to Go to come out and fix a problem that should have been checked before the furniture was delivered to my house the first time in March. Last week I get a call that I need to make an appt to have the repair made. I call and explain that the sofa piece hasn't arrived yet. They tell me they are bringing it. Their technicians aren't even on the same page as the customer service dept.!!!! They tell me they'll come out on Tuesday. Every time I make an appt I have to leave that entire day open because they don't give you the 4 hour window until the day before. There were actually times when it was 6 hours I had to wait for a technician to come out. I called to talk to a manager yesterday and got Betsy who said she was a manager but I doubt it because she didn't act like a manager and didn't seem to care how much $$ I spent in her store or the fact that I have to spend 5 days sitting around my house waiting for her technicians to come out and NOT be able to fix the same problem. I told her that if it was my store, I would do whatever it took to make sure that I received repeat business from this customer and try to make her happy. After 4 attempts, I would send a separate driver and truck with her couch piece so that customer didn't have to give up her entire day for the 5th time. I would not act like I didn't care if I ever saw that customer again. She kept repeating the same thing...that the trucks aren't loaded until the day before and they don't know where my furniture would be located on the truck, so they have to give a 4 hour window. The first four technicians came out in their own vehicles to repair my sofa, there was no huge truck. So I don't know why she was using that same excuse for the first 4 visits. I would not buy another piece of furniture from this store, even if my life depended on it! There is no customer service with this store. They just want to sell the furniture and don't care about the quality. Check your receipts before buying and make sure they haven't added extra fees without consulting you. Third time purchasing, but 1st review. I've had nothing but good experiences with this organization. My first purchase was for a LR set and a mattress. When I realized my place was too small for the full LR set, they took the love seat and put it back on the truck and immediately credited my account, no questions. My 2nd purchase was for a kids bedroom and it was delivered and assembled expertly. My daughter loves it and enjoys it everyday. Some folks take issue with the sales floor in the show rooms and the fact that people come up to you and immediately engage you, but they have to remember these individuals work on commission. They are just doing their job. I find it's best to peruse the online catalog in advance, enter the store, and know exactly what you're looking for. Then, the sales people will typically only engage you in what you're looking for. Let me get straight to the point: If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Rooms To Go thinks it's fine to charge me for their defective furniture.  They're wrong. For months, I've been contacting Customer Service about an undersized seat cushion on an expensive sectional I purchased from them.  At first, they wouldn't even accommodate my request, telling me that the huge gap between the undersized seat cushion and the one next to it (or the sofa arm, depending on which way you moved the cushion) was just a "matter of personal preference" that didn't warrant a replacement.   In desperation, I returned to the store to look at the floor model to see if perhaps it, too, had a large gap between cushions that I'd simply overlooked before purchasing my sofa.  Not surprisingly, all of those cushions were perfectly sized.  Later, they did consent to a replacement, which tells me that the company knows this problem stems from manufacturer error and is not a result of my own "personal preference."  But time after time, waiting weeks between each back ordered delivery, each cushion sent was still cut too short, leaving a gap between it and the arm of the sectional. Once they even showed up with the wrong piece of furniture altogether... When I then went back to the store where I bought the sofa to speak with a manager, I noticed that the type of couch I'd purchased was no longer on display.  Nor is it online any longer.  I believe I know why. An employee from the company recently told me he noticed several structural defects with my couch that could only be caused by the manufacturer.  He said that in these instances, they will typically have a large batch of the same item that is reported as defective, and the company will simply have to keep sending replacements to customers until they get one that's not problematic, if such a replacement can be found.  I think this sofa has been pulled from retail because of numerous complaints.  It's costing the company money, and they're trying to cut their losses. Soon, I'll likely be seeking legal counsel, since Rooms To Go Customer Service now refuses to even put me through to their Resolutions Department to discuss this issue.  Each time that I have called I am relayed a message in 'my notes' from someone that I have never spoken with who says she attempted to reach me and also left me a message - which never happened because I had been awaiting a return phone call for over a week from the last person that I spoke with who said they would call me back. Bottom line - I've been told that, due to the length of time I've now had the sofa, I can select a replacement couch, take a 20% discount and keep the defective furniture, or return the sofa for a refund but pay a 20% restocking fee. I considered a new sofa and visited their website and two different showrooms in my area looking for something new but found nothing that matched my taste, decor or appropriately fit the large space that I would need to fill. Keeping a defective couch is not a suitable option, so my very valid question is this: Who in their right mind would pay hundreds of dollars to be able to return a piece of furniture that's a factory defect?  I had no part in assembling the sofa incorrectly and shouldn't have to lose money to be able to return it.  The length of time it's taken to try to remedy the problem rests squarely on the shoulders of Rooms To Go.  They need to own up to their responsibility for the quality and workmanship of their product, refund 100% of my money, and take this sofa back. After posting my 1 star review Rooms To Go on Thursday I received a request from the business service team requesting I send them our furniture purchase order so they "help resolve the matter" on Friday. I sent the purchase order along with the complaint submitted to the Fortegra insurance company for arbitration. Fortegra is the issuing company for the Rooms to Go "Guard It" extended warranty my wife paid $382.75 for since she was told "it covers everything for 3 years" by the sales associate. I also submitted the BBB complaint I filed. OK, so here's what happened. The Rooms To Go representative said "I need to call Fortegra." Obviously they didn't read the documentation submitted noting I had already dealt with Fortegra. Suggested they read that. They sent back another email stating "we're sorry for the miscommunication" & that i needed to contact Fortegra. Appears these people cannot read! I sent a response noting it was pointless to call Fortegra since they denied the claim twice. Which had been noted in my Yelp review & documents I sent them. After telling them if they had no intent of helping they shouldn't have reached out to me. After my last response they have not contacted me. So, long story short, the Guard Ut warranty is USELESS. If you're looking to buy furniture from Rooms To Go I would think twice before spending money on a worthless warranty. read more

I purchased a leather non-power reclining sofa from rooms to go 15 months ago. I always purchase the extended warranty also. The seam on the seat cushion is pulling apart so i tried to file a claim with the Fortega(their warranty company. They stated a seam separation wasn't covered under the warranty (What the heck, why not it is faulty) they stated i needed to call Rooms to go again. Rooms to go said they couldn't/wouldn't do anything for me. What is the purpose of the warranty?? I received a call a few days later and was told Rooms to go would send someone out anyways as a courtesy. Yay! Nope the tech came out and said it couldn't be repaired and they would need to order me a new seat cushion. I receive a call today and was told again that they wouldn't fix it for me. What was the point in wasting my time and the techs time if they weren't going to fix it for me???? I told them i was done with them and hung up. I stopped in to look for furniture for my new apartment as I am moving to Tampa later in June. I was approached by a salesman who offered their assistance if needed and then gave me space. I loved that it was a low pressure environment. I found the perfect couch and got a great deal. The salesman even contracted with another moving company so that I had my couch before my new job started at no additional cost to me. I would definitely consider rooms to go for future purchases. This is not so much a review of the Brandon location as an overall rating of the company itself. Do not buy furniture from Rooms to Go as their customer service is atrocious!!!!! They only are about making the sale the day you are there, if any issues arise afterwards with the furniture, forget about it. And don't think for a minute that by buying a warranty you will be protected. You get switched between the third party insurer and Rooms to Go. I had an issue with a recliner. Called on 9/15, 1st available appointment for technician was on 10/9. Technician stated he would order broken part and have it delivered to the house at which time I could call to make an appointment for the repair. As of 10/28 still no part. Called Fortegra, the insurer, and was told to call Rooms to Go customer service. Called Rooms to Go and was told no work order was ever done for the repair so the part was never ordered. Customer Service Rep said she would take care of it and call me back. Never received a return call. 10/29 called Rooms to Go Customer Service and rude Customer Rep named Tierra refused to let me speak to a Supervisor as this was a Fortegra issue. Asked 5 times for a Supervisor each time she rudely told me there was no Supervisor there for me to speak to, I had to speak to a Fortegra Supervisor. She then transferred me to Fortegra. Spoke to a great person, who called Rooms to Go while I was on the line and requested the Technician's Report that Fortegra never received, but the work order was never done as promised by the prior Customer Service Rep the day before. The issue is even with this great work from Fortegra, I still have to wait for Rooms to Go to provide a cost of the part, Fortegra to authorize the order of the part and then Rooms to Go to order the part. I feel the chances of this going smoothly are about as good as COVID19 being cured tomorrow. Stay away from Rooms to Go their customer service is abysmal! read more

Do not purchase anything from this store. They tacked on a warranty for a sectional I bought that I never wanted and refused to credit my account for. It took a minimum of 18 phone calls and emails and their final answer 7 months later was I signed for it. I told them last September when I received my first bill that I was charged for a warranty I never wanted. They should have taken the charge off then and said they would. It took until today, March 27, 2021 for them saying they are denying my request because I signed for it. Impossible to deal with. Customer service is horrible. read more

When my husband and I moved across country, we got rid of all of our furniture so we had to purchase allot. Some of what we purchased came from Rooms To Go in Brandon, Fl and some came from American Signature in Brandon, Fl. The furniture from Rooms to Go, cost us OVER $300 for delivery, we had to wait an extra week and a half after moving into our new home for our stuff to be delivered (they would not deliver what they had in stock until it was all in stock). The delivery guys were rude AF! They did not help set up the rug I bought FROM THEM ($300+ should be for delivery and set up), when I told him where the rug was going to go he said 'it comes in plastic' and he left it in the plastic. They left a HUGE mess with styrofoam balls EVERYWHERE! I'm still vacuuming up styrofoam balls! They didn't take tags or stickers off of anything! AND one of the legs of the 4 stools we bought is an inch shorter then the rest of them and they won't replace them until February! But then none of the legs on the 4 stools or the 4 chairs of the one of the dining tables (we bought two dining sets) are level. Needless to say, I'm not happy with Rooms to Go at all! Now, the furniture from American Signature cost us $150 for delivery and will come in two deliveries because of some custom furniture we ordered is taking longer to make but they delivered the first bunch on the date we wanted (the day after we moved in), the rest to be delivered later. The delivery company was very nice, set up all our furniture, took off all the tags and cleaned up when they were finished. He even helped set up a rug that we DIDN'T buy from them before he set up the couch and coffee table we did buy from them and took away the plastic it came it. Then a salesmen, Gino Tutera, came up to me and told me to look around and he would catch up with me in a little while and he actually did! I told him what I found and liked and he sat with me and helped me to choose a color and the pieces I would need. He wasn't pushy, only very helpful and gave me all the time I needed. I purchased 3 pieces of living room furniture!! The furniture was coming in 2 separate deliveries and Gino text messaged me to remind me prior to each delivery. Gino's follow up was great.
