Though I always consider previous/standing reviews; Just like meeting people with terrible reputations, I still generally like to have my own experience. I don't know the "Who, What, Why's" on all the negative, subpar reviews, but my experience (Prior to the Delivery portion at least) was STELLAR - Larry was AWESOME!! I'd grown a bit tired of the bareness of my home office some months back, did ample research on some RTG items and then fell back in to my routine and put my decorating ideas on the back burner. After very recently finding my spark again, I earmarked a few items online and then went to see them in person. When I entered the location, I took a quick look outta' my peripheral to see how quickly (If at all) a sales rep was gonna approach me. Larry spotted me and I spotted him and he welcomed me in and offered his immediate assistance. I had a few SKU numbers jotted down for reference and Larry was gracious enough to check the availability of the items out for me. 1 of my 4 items had been discontinued, though it didn't show that way online, which was perfectly fine because I had 4 options, but ultimately only really wanted to get 2 pieces. All of the other items on my list were available, but I was disappointed to hear, that none of them were eligible for RTG assembly (I don't mind paying someone to put furniture together, as I've put EVERYTHING else in my house together by myself). No harm, no foul though... Since I'd made that trip across town, I asked Larry to hold the items for me and let me do some browsing, just in case, while I was there. Larry left me to my own devices, he went 1 way, I went another, I found 2 surprises along the way, I signed what I needed to sign and my items that I didn't walk out with, should be to me shortly - SUCCESS!! =) DELIVERY ADDENDUM: RTG had a 4-Star Rating when I left the store, but now that "Delivery" can be added to the rating, you see where we've ultimately landed...NO email, no text, no call; NO heads up AT ALL!! I was sitting at the office and my security camera went off, so I checked my cameras, to see my table sittin' at my front door, leaned against the house - THANKS RTG Delivery!!! No warning whatsoever, so thankfully I live in a good neighborhood and my table was still there when I got home 5 hours later!! I guess the additional silver lining is, that I received my order in about a week and a half's time!? read more

I had such a great experience here. Based on the reviews, I was skeptical about delivery and I expressed that. My sales rep Samantha was so awesome. She was attentive, polite, accommodating and professional. I am pleased with the quality of my selection. I had no issues with delivery. I received a confirmation message three days before. I received a text with my delivery window two days before and there was a link to track my delivery. My driver arrived in my window and once completed I received a call to confirm I was satisfied. I'm leaving this review because I was worried about my furniture purchase after reading such terrible reviews about this RtG location. Our experience was much different. We found the couch online and went to see it in person. The sales person, Larry, was very nice and gave us space without trying to harass us like some sales people do. Ordering the couch from Larry was definitely a positive experience. We had to change our order because we told Larry the wrong configuration. He changed it for us, but we did have to wait another week for delivery. That is the only reason I took a star away--we had to wait almost a month for it to be delivered. The delivery was positive too. The guys drove across Atlanta and were there before the first hour of our window was over. They were very professional and put the couch together quickly. If your delivery is late, please know that the drivers sometimes have over 20 deliveries a day, according to ours. That's crazy and must be very hard for them. read more

They gave me a 4 hour window for delivery. Someone stayed at the house until the end of the 4 hour window. She had to leave for work and couldn't wait for them to place the furniture in the house so the furniture had to be placed in the garage. Which means that we had to move it to the correct area ourselves. read more

BEWARE!! Sales was great(of course they were) but when you're scheduled for the delivery of the item that you PAID for, you won't. The store manager John was also zero help. Instead of refunding me for the delivery he goes on to say that "it's an all day delivery". What?! I have had a delivery window of 8am-12pm for days and now it's an "all day delivery". The all day nonsense is also nowhere in writing. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you actually want the item that you paid for. A few weeks later the issue is completely resolved. The Rooms to Go repair crew came in 10 days later from my initial delivery, on a Saturday, and provided the missing parts, and repaired my headboard. I called Rooms To Go - Douglasville to remind them of my refund for the delivery fee, and the person that answered the phone was able to pull my account details right up. She actually advised that I was on a list of follow ups in a pending status, and advised me of the realistic time frame for the compensation to be processed and received. I received the check yesterday in the mail, and the invoice date was 4/2, so the compensation process really did take 7-10 days. This was not the most timely process, but I do appreciate the store manager taking care of this situation. The customer service hotline, was not as understanding. I am still disappointed with how the initial delivery went, but I am glad to know that this store's staff will do what they can to rectify the mistakes made by quality control. I wrote the first review when I was still unable to use my bed, at this time I would say that Rooms To Go - Douglasville is okay in my book. I still HIGHLY recommend a protection plan, just in case something happens, and if you don't get that, be ready to refuse the entire delivery if anything arrives damaged. read more

I waited two months for a delivery date of some Tables that I really wanted I took off the delivery date for work because they can't give you a time as to when they will be there. They called me at 5:30 PM the day BEFORE to tell me that my tables were not going to be delivered until another three weeks. They gave me a 10% refund after I gave them almost a week of my pay AND have to take an additional TWO DAYS off work for their delivery. We purchased a $5000 bedroom set from Rooms to go in Douglasville Ga. The saleswoman (Melanie Christmas Bell) sold us an extended warranty from Fortegra. She assured us that all damage would be covered under the policy. Fortegra has denied our claim claiming that the damage if from a chemical. They have decided not to make the repairs to our dresser. Never trust Rooms to go or their sales team. Rooms to go says it's Fortegra's fault and Fortegra says it's rooms to go's technician fault. This warranty is bogus and so is Rooms to go. Once you make a purchase, if there is anything wrong with that purchase then you have a problem. Ordered living room set and a rug however, the rug delivered was incorrect. The first delivery, Nov. 2020, only headboard and side rail were brought, I rejected it. Second attempted delivery still in Nov. after waiting for hours there was a no show and reason was that truck broke down. I received the bench and four chairs 12/2015 but have to wait until 02/16 to get my other two chairs...but hold on..let me back up to where I ordered the table had to wait two weeks for delivery and had to send my table back because a "Manufacturing error" the holes in my table leg did not match up with the screws to be put together so I had to wait an additional week for delivery and they give you a four hour window and they were late !!!! Called the store manager Eugene, Eugenio, Geno whatever his name is an he was NOT sympathetic to the fact I paid for delivery for a specific date and it was an issue on their end. They will NOT give you a "I'm sorry", A credit, Discount, free fabric cleaner...NOTHING! I guess I should have read the reviews before going. I visited the Douglasville location. My experience there was not the greatest. I felt very judged by Mary(my salesperson) by the time I left. However, Catherine, the manager was very helpful throughout the process. Unfortunately there was not much that she could do about the fact that my delivery. The delivery guy claimed that he could not get in the gate so I had to reschedule. Fine! I get a text confirming the new date and time. They were to show up between 10 & 2. They were a no show. I called Catherine and as helpful as she has been, I still do not have my furniture. However, she did inform me that they would not be coming out until 6 pm????? How do you to decide to not show up but decide that they will come when they feel like it. I am inclined to cancel the order. Every time I deal with RTG, I regret it. My wife purchased a mattress set last week from Rooms To Go. She paid for delivery to our home. I took the day off work yesterday to take delivery. The delivery team showed up in a big rig and told me they could not get down the driveway in their truck and that I must find a pickup truck and take the furniture from their truck in the street to my home. I talked to 4 RTG representatives that told me this is standard, so I cancelled the order. So their standard procedure is to deliver furniture to homes in a truck that will not fit down a normal driveway. read more

By far the worst purchase experience we've experienced. First we worked with April who seemed to be excited about my fiancé and I purchasing a home and was happy to help. We made it clear that we wanted to purchase when there was a 72 month promotion going on. She assured us they would not have another extended promo until some time into the following year because one had recently passed. She explained all customers would be upset if that were the cause and promised the 3 year was the best option. As a result, we decided to move forward and purchase the furniture. We bought an entire house worth of furniture with them and without telling us, they split the whole order into multiple orders to be delivered at different dates. Once the order was placed and was pending on our card, they started a 72 month promotion. Not only were we misguided regarding the promotion but we also received damaged or problematic furniture for EVERY ROOM we purchase items. Our bottom bedroom dresser drawer would not open or close properly, they mailed the wrong dining room table (that was already on back order), the living room sofa base was damaged. The amount of calls and visits to not only get the correct items delivered plus correct the financing promotion was absolutely ridiculous! If that weren't enough, after waiting a month for the correct dining room table to be delivered to our surprise it was DAMAGED! That's right we wait a month for the wrong table to be delivered only to wait another month for them to deliver the correct one only to have it be be damaged. Guess what, the table is STILL on back order, we have to wait an additional month to get a new one! In all of our frustration, the General Manager ordered to return the cost of our delivery fees. It wouldn't be Rooms to Go if even that went smoothly. Here we are today being greeted by poor customers service as we once again spend time and energy calling to receive a refund that was promised to us as a consolation offering for our poor experience. It is important to as note, how distasteful, inappropriate, and overall disturbing the experience we had with Grace in the financial office. Out of every encounter with the store, hers has truly stood out the most for how unprofessional she was towards us. In closing, do yourself a favor, go to a local retailer, Ashley Furniture, or even IKEA, anywhere other than Rooms to Go. The furniture I picked out from the show room floor had been there 4 yrs and they didn't carry anymore . The truck didn't come until 8:00 pm and they only delivered my sofa and loveseat. The tables weren't on the truck. Worst display of rude customer service in my life. My wife and I went in to the Rooms To Go store, on Monday, May 15th at about 7:30pm ready to purchase a complete living room suite. I was met by Ophiela. After deciding upon a more expensive set, I tried to get a price. She quoted me a price which included the "bonded leather package." I politely asked for the price for strictly the furniture declining the extra "bonded leather package" and she then continued to tell me Rooms to go would not be responsible for my furniture if I did not purchase the package and that nothing would be covered under a warranty. I again declined the extras and asked for a price without the bonded leather package. She continued to speak above me about the extras and after about 10 minutes of her speaking over me and refusing to give me a price without the extra packages, I told her I would come back to speak with another sales associate about my purchases. She got upset and rude I wanted to leave and I told her she was being unpleasant and I did not want to buy anything from her. This is when everything broke down. Ophiela got loud and started to tell me that I had cost her two sales since I had been in the store and that I thought she was unpleasant due to her accent, (I had been in for less than 30 min at this point and there was maybe 1-2 other customers inside.) She stated that she was the number one sales associate in the store and she would not let me walk away from her after calling her unpleasant. She continued to yell about me leaving her sale, and when me and my 9 month pregnant wife tried to leave, she followed us out of the store about 5 feet behind us, yelling at us until we made it outside. I ordered furniture from this location 4 months ago. Two months ago I received the items I ordered but they were all damaged, every single piece. One of my chairs had a completely broken leg & my other chair that was white, was filthy - they had clearly given me a showroom piece, it even had the red tag. To top that off the delivery drivers were not wearing masks or gloves and obviously had no regard for my safety. They scheduled for me to receive all new items, which brings me to today. One of my new items still has an issue!!! The threading on my couch is coming apart. And this second set of delivery drivers were still NOT WEARING MASKS! These are strangers entering my home after they've been in a bunch of other strangers homes today and doing god knows what else in their free time. I feel violated and disgusted, especially since I spent 45 minutes on the phone waiting for customer service the other day to confirm that these drivers would be wearing safety precautions and they added a note to my file just to confirm. After speaking to customer service they wouldn't even refund my entire delivery fee, which I should be getting that and then some for the absolutely horrible experience I've had with them. Ok so I go into rooms to go in Douglasville Ga. drop 4K on Funiture, had to wait two weeks on delivery and the driver show up to my house in an 18 wheeler truck. Not the big one but the 32 inch one. Noooooo one saw this driver, all of a sudden rooms to go dispatch call me to say the driver was scared to come down my driveway. When I tell you I was pissed. I called all the way up to corporate and they were bland AF I spoke with a Mr. Roman and his ass sounded like he was still in bed. No one could truly help me. Except for the customer service lady in the store names Selma. Even the mean lady who was the store supervisor. Had an attitude. I will never shop at this store again. Hell I will never shop at rooms to go again. Matter of fact the crazy part is I just bought 2 sofa's from them and it was no problem with delivery. But now I have to be rescheduled. We went to purchase a mattress and we laid on about 10. We picked the one we wanted "Wickford Bay" and after everything was said and done I looked over the paperwork as we were on the way home and he gave us the wrong mattress. I called up there and he confirmed it was the same mattress, same everything and I wouldn't have a problem. I went up there 3 days later and spoke with another sales person who told me that they were different mattresses and she doesn't know why he would tell me that it was the same. So I had to wait for the store manager to call me the next day and when he did he was very rude, short, and very unprofessional, acted like he had better things to do then deal with this issue. Then he wanted me to pay the price difference of $100 since the card was not in my name it was in my husbands name I cant make that purchase of the price difference. The only thing he was willing to do was take off the pillows we had purchased so the total amount of the order would stay the same and we wouldn't have to go through adding me to the account which takes close to a month by the time its all said and done (completely done through the mail). I feel like with a mistake on their part as such he should've been willing to work the price difference out considering they have a ZERO return policy and if I would've took HIS salesman's word on it, it would've been delivered to my house and I wouldn't be able to do anything about it. I would be STUCK WITH A MATTRESS I DIDN'T EVEN WANT. its 4 days later and we still don't have this resolved and the store manager is just getting back to me. Our experience with the Douglasville location was awful. They gave us a delivery date of 4-24-19 it is now the 25th and I still do not have my furniture. Our delivery time was to be between 2pm & 6. Then I got a call at 6 saying that my delivery had been delayed and someone will delivery our furniture between 6 & 10 pm. I am thinking that is kind of late but I figured that they were running behind. I wait and wait and no one calls back and no one shows up with my furniture. By 11 pm I went to bed. No one still has not phoned me or contacted me about my furniture delivery, I had to call them this morning they said that we are going to have to reschedule your delivery. Maybe for Saturday. Ok so I was supposed to get my furniture on a Wednesday and now I might get it on a Saturday. REALLY!!! Order # 13611797 from Store # 1707: Great selection in the store and our sales person was very helpful. 2 stars because once we purchased the furniture and paid the extra $100 for delivery and setup; I was left bringing in the largest section of the living room set with my 11 year old daughter. The delivery guys claimed the largest section of the furniture was to large to fit through the entrance and wanted to return it back to the warehouse. Knowing it would fit through, I had them set it off the truck and with the help of my 11 year old daughter, we were left struggling to get it in before the rain. There was no issue getting it through the entrance other than an 11 year old girl having to help do someone's job. Had I known, I would have saved the $100, pick the furniture up from the warehouse and had my daughter help with the set up. Again, the store experience was great but the delivery and setup not. Make sure you have someone on standby if you choose to pay for the delivery and setup because you may be left doing it yourself! read more

My problems started in April when I ordered a living room set and a dining room set first issue is it was two weeks before I got half of my order and a month later before I got the rest Now My Story begins four out of six chairs were damaged the dining room table base was damaged the dining room glass was damaged because the delivery personnel rolled it on the pavement and chipped the glass and tried to hide it when they brought it in my home by turning it against the window upside down, one of my end tables is defective so they reorder my items 3 weeks later they come out, they tried to repair the end table that didn't work they replace the four chairs and the base not the dining room glass, another 3 weeks pass and they called me and sayed the driver is going to be out between 2 and 6 p.m. I took off to be home at the time they requested but 6 p.m. came and no Rooms To Go, they called at 6 p.m. saying that the driver would to be out between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. the driver shows up at 9:45 p.m. and does not have my end table on his truck he leaves two weeks later they set everything up again come out and have the wrong table on the truck and I still don't have my table the store manager lied and said she called me and left a message not true the corporate office will not return my calls and I'm stuck with a defective table so whatever you do stay away from Rooms To Go unless you going to pick your furniture up that evening and take it home yourself. The only bright spot was my salesperson Melanie I just feel really sorry for her that she works for such a horrible company who cares nothing about customer service.
