We found a nice mirror to use in the bathroom and when we went to pay for it, the sales person/company wanted all my personal information to create a profile. The mirror was $4.99. Four dollars and ninety nine cents. We ended up walking away because the sales person got snippy about me wanting to only give basic info because I didn't need another company incessantly marketing to me. Extremely Disrespectful Experience - Disappointing Conduct from Acceptance Now Manager I came into Rooms To Go to make a furniture purchase with my partner, and what should have been a smooth and professional process quickly turned into an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience -- largely due to the conduct of Madina, the Acceptance Now manager at this location. Madina immediately questioned the legitimacy of my partner's California-issued ID, which legally displays his North Carolina address -- a valid option through the California DMV. Instead of taking the time to understand or verify the information, she made accusatory comments and implied that we were attempting to commit fraud. Her tone was unprofessional, disrespectful, and lacked any customer service training or basic courtesy. To make matters worse, when I respectfully shared that I did not appreciate being spoken to as if we were scammers, she hung up the phone on us mid-conversation. There was no attempt at resolution, empathy, or accountability. This behavior is unacceptable from anyone -- let alone a manager. I've since contacted Adam at the store to follow up and also escalated the situation by filing a formal complaint with Rooms To Go corporate. This situation is not only a poor reflection of the Acceptance Now partnership, but of Rooms To Go as a brand. I hope this review helps shed light on the way certain customers are being treated and that internal action is taken to address this issue. Today we went Rooms To Go Outlet Furniture Store looking for something's . The associate who helped us was nice until it was time to check out and go. We went to the front to check out since all we had was a child's bean bag. We was told that the person who helped us had to ring us up. She is helping another customer. They page her two times. Again we say she is with a customer. We didn't want her to lose a sale especially when we have a low dollar amount. We had to stand there for about ten minutes as she was helping someone else. We waited so long that my grandbaby needed to use the restroom in the back of the building. We walked and came back. My daughter still had not been helped. We are 20 minutes in at this point. So finally they allowed another associate to check us out. The lady tells my daughter that it's is required for her to give an address to check out. She told them she didn't want to provide it. The lady said we can't sell you the bean bag without an address. I said well then use your store address. They still refuse so we gave them a PO Box address. So when we get ready to leave, they tell us that we can't take it with us. That they have to take it to the back to scan it out of inventory as if we didn't just use your computer system to check out. The company computer system should do that automatically. I asked why can't you take the ticket off and scan it out while we walk with the bean bag. We was told that's not how it works. So I asked again so we can't take it's with us out the front door. I asked if we bought two pillows we can't take them out the front door either and all of the employees was like no you can't. They still would have to go to the back and pick up at the loading docks. Then they had the nerve to say oh are you in a rush it's only a few more minutes. Now mind you we had been standing there for more than 20 minutes. Not to mention that the woman trying to type the address had to be told the PO Box Five times for five numbers. It's raining outside and we a little one who is ready to go and now we have to drive around to the side of the building and wait for them to bring out the bean bag. Three minutes go bye no one is around with said Bean bag. Guess what they are loading up another customer. So my daughter walks in to see if she could get the bean bag. They told her nope she had to wait down the steps in the loading area. Finally after another five minutes in the rain an employee brings the bean bag. My daughter over heard the employee talking trash about us and stated saying that we won't be back and a few other words. Yes we won't be back even though we wanted a lot of things there. My questions to your corporate office is to investigate whether or not drugs are being transported in your location. Because to me the way your employees refuse to let us walk out with the bean bag was wild. Like they needed to remove said product from the bag before giving it to us or even selling to us. My next concern is why you need our address so bad. It's not for marketing, do you plan on inviting your employees to our house? Customers should have the right to refuse just like you do. Otherwise the data you collect is worthless. Also have unnecessary people on a loading dock is a risky for business especially when they have kids. The insurance and liability along if something went wrong especially if my daughter was by herself today. I would love to know who your company insurance is through and let them see the process. read more

Interested in purchasing a chair and ottoman set. They had them - and the matching couch but the ottoman was still on the truck. Can they go get it? No! Can they tell you when it will be put out for sale? No! Who puts chair out without the ottoman? And who refuses business? I want to but right now. Nope. I drove 3 hours, to buy bedroom suites to sleep 4 kids: Here are my tips & observations. 1. Don't come here with a specific set in mind, once I realized they only had 1 bookcase headboard in the specific SKU I wanted, I really looked around & found 3-4 beds I liked that could also fit a trundle. 2. REALLY LOOK around the store. I asked the sales associate about a specific piece & she said wow...I didn't know these were over here! Ultimately she led me to MORE trundles which I ultimately purchased. Her suggestions were much better than my find. 3. Really inspect your pieces! Know what you are getting & decide if it's worth it. I wish I had asked for a price break on 1-2 pieces. I was slightly discouraged from asking...but I wish I had tried. The silver lining to this story is that many of the missing pieces were actually found in the dresser once we got it home. So again...really inspect! 4. I'd been to my local RTG, about 3-4Xs. This is small quibble...but I purchased a set valued@1.5K for $544. The store price in my preferred figuration is 1.5K...but the one I purchased did not include a mirror & of course mine had a bit of wear. Just don't put too much stock in the "value". 5. I avoided everything that is typically complained about. I rented my own cargo van. I did not use their financing. I delivered the items myself. BTW, the delivery company was friendly & laughed when I told him I drove from Charleston. The warehouse guys were phenomenal, funny & good natured. They also worked a miracle getting EVERYTHING I purchased into the cargo van. 2 bedroom sets, a trundle & 3 mattresses along with many other "must have" items. **Slats! Sooo many of the twin bed sets didn't have slats.** In conclusion, I purchased more than I intended, I spent more than I intended. I spent 6 hours driving round trip, 3 hours in the store & will be done with set up within 48 hours. Would I do it again? I purchased a trundle for $9, reasonably priced bedroom suites, bunkie boards, mattresses etc. for about half the price of RTG, in fact, we would not have been able to purchase many items at the RTG prices. Please be advised that when you buy an electric chair here, it may not have a power cord. That "as is" means what it says here, the main company will try and find you a cord for an extra charge. Take pictures of any product on the sale floor before you purchase it and gain at pick up. Make sure the great price, is not because there is no power to a power chair or other parts are missing. Their process is ridiculous. We bought a $27 kitchen chair that they made us go around back to the warehouse side to pick up and making us wait 20 minutes to have them "process for inventory purposes". I could have walked the chair out the front door at any other furniture store in 2 minutes and been on my way. Now we are waiting in a hot car for someone to yell our name for us to receive our chair. This experience and needless customer contact during a pandemic seems needless. I will never shop ANY rooms to go for any purpose due to this experience. Avoid this rooms to go if possible. A lot of stained and broken furniture with bad sales practices. The sales rep at the rooms to go recommended that we go to the clearance store to get an accent chair because they had more and we only needed one. He didn't disclose that this store didn't offer all the services. I tried to put together a chair that the wasn't built correctly. The holes are cut and aligned wrong. I took the chair back and asked if they could assemble it and was told it was against store policy. But the worker did tell me to flip the cushion around because that chair is kind of tricky. I wish google had 0 stars. I just left this establishment and I am extremely disappointed. I was in the store for 30 minutes and not one person helped me nor greeted me. I was shopping with a budget of about $10k as I just recently moved into a bigger place and needed new furniture ASAP. My young child hit his eye on the corner of one of their tables (NO HE WAS NOT RUNNING AROUND) and cried hysterically for at least 5 minutes. Not one employee asked if he was okay or if we needed anything, they completely ignored us. Here we are 40 minutes later and his eye is swollen, sunken in, and he's having trouble blinking. I called corporate but of course they are closed. It gets better: I ask someone for assistance and he says he will get someone else to help me, 10 minutes later nothing! Lots of materials being sold at discounted prices because they are scratched, some glass table missing glass pieces, one has to really shop an look closely at the products. I'm Tammy Chapman and I was so happy to have purchased my brand new sectional and a dining room set, until the sectional that I bought worked for about a month before all the issues started. First the electrical system stopped working and has never started working again. Second the dining room chairs started cracking and ripping and it hasn't stopped yet. No worries, that's why you get insurance right? Wrong. Rooms To Go, what is the point of having insurance that doesn't cover anything? I called and spoke with a customer service agent from Rooms To Go in April of 2022 who told me they would create and submit the claim to the insurance company but that was just a broken promise. My claim was NEVER submitted. I then called back and I was advised to contact the insurance company and file a claim with them and so I did just that... SEVERAL times. I called over and over and spoke with many different reps because no one was contacting me about my issue. By the hundredth phone call (of course i'm exaggerating, but it was many phone calls later) I was informed that I was already outside of the time frame for coverage. This is so unacceptable on so many levels. I've been trying to get this issue resolved for almost a year now with no help from neither Rooms To Go nor the insurance company. I'm paying A LOT of money for furniture that doesn't work and is ripping more and more by the day. I WILL be contacting Action 9 and the Better Business Bureau since Rooms To Go refuses to assist a loyal customer. read more

We drive to the loading dock expecting to be able to pick our lamps up promptly but instead were told there's a 45 minute wait to get our two table lamps. Why you must ask we don't know. you must be her in mind these are not new in the box items at their outlet. The Rooms To Go Clearance outlet store at 2730 Queen City Drive Charlotte NC 28208 pitch fraudulent finance gimmicks! I purchased furniture (a bed) on 08/15/18 and was offered the option to pay off the amount owed the store ($529.97) by paying an initial deposit of $160.13 and then 3 additional payment installments of $128.89 within 90 days (all to be financed by Acceptance Now). The Rooms To Go associate who processed my paperwork emphatically drew my attention to a 90 days caveat that stipulates completion of the three additional payments within a 90 day period. I was advised that a violation of the 90 days caveat (by not completing the third installment payment before the end of 90 days) will incur other charges. Aware of the warning, I ensured that the required monthly payments were made before the due date. However, when I logged into the Acceptance now website today (11/02/18) to make the final payment, I noticed that another payment had been scheduled for the month of December. Confused, I called the Acceptance Now phone number to inquire what the December payment was for. I was then told by the lady who answered the phone call that I owed another $280 due to insurance charges etc. In disbelief, I call the Room To Go Outlet store to inquire why there was a alteration what I had been told when I signed for the payment installments. The manager who answered my call feigned ignorance and advised that I should conclude with Acceptance Now as they have no connection with the finance company. I am to believe that the store offers its customers a service that they have no connection with? How dishonest can a manager be? Are we also to believe that he is not aware of the "other fees" now being demanded by the Acceptance Now finance company? Why is he allowing staff at the store to disseminate dishonest information to customers about a fake "90 day caveat"? Please be warned as this is obviously not a store to go into any sort of agreement with. read more

Since kids were climbing on the display, salesman said we could buy an identical set still in plastic..better since out trailer is open air.... Picked it up, open at home...NOT a matched set.....not the same brand, color, etc. Called and was told "too bad". all sales final.... also said all of their mattresses are NO warranties even though the warranty tags are attached.......
