Growing Local Market - seasonal selection of fruits and veggies...touristy jams, jellies, and sauces. They're building a more permanent building that should open in the next 6 months so expect more variety then.

Such great selection of pickled items, vinegars, dressings and hot sauces to temp anyone's tastebuds!!!

This was just an awesome find while on our drive to BlueRidge. We are so glad we stopped in and hung out for a while taking in all the great tasty treats and southern hospitality. From the moment we walked up we were treated like family and even passed on some great tips about the area and must see spots... Oh I almost forgot to mention the awesome homemade products they have to offer. We left with some tasty flavored vinagres , salad dressings and some flavor packed hot sauces. I am sure we will stop on our way home to pick up more goodies to take back with us and remember our stop as you should too...

This is how they feel about their "local" community after complaints. Don't give them your money.

Rooster's is the best place to buy local honey. They also have a variety of pickle flavors! We can't get enough of their Granny's Hot Sweet Pickles!

Coming for more of these SOON! We serve these over cream cheese as an appetizer...always a huge hit!

We absolutely love this place! They have some amazing sweet/hot jellies (about to need MORE of these!!) and a great selection of fruits and veggies. Such nice people as well! We've told a bunch of people to check them out and they have all been thrilled as well!

Enjoy stopping in when possible. Ownership is very kind and it's nice to have nearby. Little options for all inside.

We came upon Rooster's during a road trip and it's such a cute little farmer's market with local produce, pickle jars, preserves, jams, breads, local honey and more.

You can take a tractor ride into the orchards for $6. For additional charges you can pick your own apples and fill your bag as much as you can fit. Cut fresh flowers and sunflowers. You can also pick other fruits and veggies that are in season. Then make your way to the market that has everything from jams and jelly's to honey and fresh made fudge and fresh fruit smoothies and a variety of flavors of fried pies. You also have a selection of breads and apple breads. And did I mention apples? Bags and bags of apples are also available for sale. We tried the dried apple and the chocolate pecan fried pies.... They were good but nothing spectacular. Wish they were warm as would have tasted better in my opinion. Cashiers were nice overall and helpful with our questions. Lovely place for a nice weekend activity to attend.

This Penland has a working Farm History flavor hanging on the walls...a mini museum of tools used in the Orchards and farms. At this Penland we had a chance to chat with the two friendly ladies at the counter. We received samples of their slushie drinks so as to make the choice a better one. What is Scuppernong?? One sample was that big juicy Black/Purple skinned grape Muscadine ... that was a winner. We browsed thru the store's wide aisles and finding items there that you know and want. A ton of apples and Penland history backs up this Orchard and Farm market. It will be a return trip in the future for sure. But next time we will time it for the many varieties of Penland Georgia Peaches.

Staff is very friendly. Not as many options though, i liked that you can pick and choose your apples and not be restricted to a large bag of only 1 variety. The apple cider slush and crumble cookie were good. Parking is conveniently available in front of the store.

But since it was rainy and cold we couldn't sit outside, and there were zero seats inside, so we went back to our car to eat.
