Susie write was the absolute sweetest ever! My friend and I stopped in on Tuesday for some meat on our way back home. We used the bathrooms located right outside the store and then walked the grounds before going inside. I was SHOCKED at how well cared for the animals were. We arrived around 3:30, so mid day, and every single animal area was clean with fresh food and water. I was so impressed. The grounds were clean and very well kept. Lots of beautiful flowers and a beautiful pond. When we arrived there was a new delivery, twin sheep who were resting alongside their momma. It was precious. There was also a momma and baby cow, many ducks in the pond, and rabbits. Inside the store is full of handmade soaps, lotions, candles and food! We purchased some homemade crackers, goat cheese spread, pickles, ground beef and filet. Susie gave us a sheet with information about their meats and took her time showing us each cut so that we could hand pick the ones we wanted. We also ordered the goat cheese ice cream bing cherry and it was seriously the best thing I've ever had! It was so light and airy and has a tart salty flavor to it. I cannot wait to return for more!!! They have rabbit adoptions currently so if you are in the market for a sweet rabbit and can provide a loving home let them know and they will introduce you to them. We absolutely devoured our food and cannot wait to return for more! If you are in the area, or even if you aren't I highly recommend stopping in for some quality food. You won't regret it at all, and Susie is an absolute doll!

we visited the farm store after my grandkids enjoyed an hour on their farm. I love their blackberry jam, the popcorn was amazing and they had a really nice selection of meats and farm products. We did not try the ice cream, but a family outside raved about it. It's really nice that they allow people to come with their kids and see all the animals and make it a big flashy expensive thing. Therefore, we always visit the store and buy some product when we visit the animals!

So glad we got our GA Farm Passports or else I probably would have never stumbled into this place! This market is ADORABLE. Looking forward to coming back with my cooler so I can stock up on all their cheeses, milks, and meats. Pricing is very fair. Also- baby cows! Very nice spot to stop by with the kids.

Mountain Valley Farm Store located at the Farm is a little outside of Elijay. MVF is USDA and GDA approved free of antibiotics, steroids, pesticides and chemical fertilizers. It's a rare Farm source near ATL that is open to the public! It was a scenic hour and half drive to the mountains and a pleasant way to spend a day. ++ Ambiance is a tiny country store. Outside, there's a playground for their pet goats and livestock area that seem to cater to newborns with their mothers: calves, lambs and baby goats. Beyond is a nice view of the mountains. The store was stocked with fresh meats and handmade goods. +++ MVFS sells their dry aged grass fed beef and bones, heritage pork and Jersey raw milk. Also, they sell other Georgia farm products such as Happy Cow Creamery butter, Three Graces Dairy handmade goat cheese, Sweetwater Valley Dairy handmade cheese, White Oak Pastures pasture raised chickens and pasture raised hen eggs, livers, chicken feet and locally handmade jams, sauces, honey, lotions using their tallow...and more. Expect products and availability to change through seasons and customer demands. + Price is on the higher side...about same as WFM. ++ Service was very good. Shelby, behind the counter was informative and friendly! MVF apparently delivers to northern suburbs every 6 weeks or so. It's not a CSA, but similarly, you place your order through phone or email and they will meet up / deliver your order free of charge at specified locations in Cumming, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Canton, Woodstock and Kennesaw. Call them for details. ++ Parking was free and there were about 6 - 8 spaces. I'm a fan! So glad to have MVF near enough to get farm fresh wholesome meats and dairy! MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother = Missed the Mark + Good ++ Better +++ Edible...where have you been all my life!

We visited yesterday 8/3 and really enjoyed our time. The land itself is beautiful and if you love nature you will really appreciate it as well. We pet some animals through/over the fence, and got to see a brand new baby cow that was born that same day! The director of the farm's truck needed to be jump started, so my husband offered and he was so kind and ended up getting it done himself. But we really appreciate how friendly he was to us and talking to us about the new baby's that were born. The review saying the place was dirty probably was made by someone who has never been to a farm, because all the animals looked properly taken care of and content. The store was very clean as well.

Wonderful Family business - great products from meats to ice cream and some cook books and jams/jellies. No provision to taste the wonderful and sometimes unusual Ice Cream Flavors (a recommendation hidden in a review). Bring the kids (not Goats) to pet the animals. Dogs are allowed in a limited area, but you're better off leaving them in the car.

I absolutely love this place! The folks here are always so pleasant and helpful..7 days a week! I purchased some filets recently and were happy to make suggestions. The Brown Butter Recipe I've included in my "actual" preparation picture collage was one they shared. The filets, which can be purchased small or large, are perfect for any meal and appetite! So tender!! Fresh eggs, fresh cheeses, chicken, ground beef, and so much more! I can't visit without getting a scoop of their homemade ice cream...Delicious!! Love all the specialty flavors!! You won't be disappointed and if you have kids, they will love visiting a working farm and the animals.

We love this place! It has become a road trip must with our family. I love the market and our girls love the animals (which are cared for so well there!).

Family friendly and the animals are so much fun to watch. They have grass-fed...grass-finished beef.

I seem to forget to check out Buford Farmers Market on a regular basis when I'm looking for Asian…read morefoods. I went this past week because I was looking for 2 specific items that I wasn't able to find at 2 other large Asian markets. Someone had suggested this Market because of the extensive ethnic choices. It has Asian (Korean, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Filipino), European, South American, Hispanic and American items. There are sections that have premade Asian meals, fresh seafood, extensive fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, pantry staples, bakery items, almost anything you might want. It's a large market and you could spend hours going up and down the aisles exploring. I was surprised to find they even had a favorite pop that I only thought I could get in Michigan. Now I know that I can go here and get it, without having to have it ordered online. It can get busy on the weekends when everyone is doing their weekly shopping, but I went later in the day and was able to find parking and not bump into people or long lines.

I have lived near Buford Highway Farmers Market for 28 years. I have visited at least two to three…read moretimes a week. BHFM pretty much had its "Glory Years" 10 or 15 years ago. It has slowly gone downhill since then. I have bought their quart container of squeezed pink grapefruit juice many times, it used to be very reasonable. For the past couple of months the price has risen to $13.99 a quart !!! Whole Foods has the same thing for $8.99. Other sources are no where near $13.99. That's price gouging. All the daily house hold products are also much higher than Target, Walmart, Kroger, Publix. I cannot believe people pay the prices. Unless they are on special, berry's and fruit's are more expensive than Publix or Kroger and they look like they are second or third tier quality. The same for the vegetables, some literally still have dirt on them and are definitely poor quality. I bought sushi the other day at the counter in the back, for the price it was great. I decided to buy extra Wasabi, there were three kinds on the counter. None had a price, not on the container, not on the shelf. I asked the person behind the counter what were the prices, they said they didn't know, I would have to carry the wasabi literally diagonally across the store and get a price. The person couldn't call and ask ?!?! How does an employee not notice these items are not priced !?!? I have always loved the cafeteria, their entrees are delicious. Now some of the trays have nothing in them and some have been sitting in the trays and have a skim on the top because they haven't even stirred them up obviously for hours. 40% off after 4;30pm, great deal, but half or more of the food is gone, by 5pm they have pretty much closed up. The Mex part is closed at 4:30pm. So sad, a great resource, just about ruined. They also used to have cooking classes, which were great. They haven't had a class in years. Today I go in and by 4 items, the lines are long, so I took it to the quick checkout near the entrance. A person in front of me had over 10 items, each bag was like 5 pounds of vegetables each. He was not an employee, be paid cash. I asked the cashier so the line is no longer 10 items or less? She shrugged her shoulders !!! There used to be 10 items or less registers, at least two. Both of those have been long gone. It looks like BHFM is adding self checkout, the registers are installed and have sat there 2 years !?!? Still not open. With skyrocketing grocery prices and the competition in the area BHFM management needs to wake up. The outside isn't looking its best either. I hate to write this, but come on BHFM !!! Yes, there are some good deals, especially specials, but they are no where near the quality / price of Whole Foods or Dekalb Farmers Market. The same for H MART, I want competitive pricing and quality products, as a local, the "novelty" effect means nothing to me.
