We drive to Roosters in Lancaster. Usually the freshest hot wings ever!! Today, everything was cold...burnt. Tasted horrible. They NEED TO CHANGE THEIR OIL!! Everything tasted like everything else. 70.00 of crap. We will have to find somewhere else to eat closer to home. Geez!!!! read more

Tony and I stopped in for a late lunch after hiking 4.5 miles at Hocking Hills State Park at some caves. We decided to share some options! We shared a Well Done Big Bob's Burger with Pepper Jack Cheese and the works with pickles on the side. We also had a small order of Naked & Wet Hot Traditional Wings with Ranch Dip and a order of Potato Wedge Dumpster Fries He had a couple draft large Bud lites while I had my tea With lemon & lime The food was awesome! They rarely disappoint. Waiter was Johnny on the spot...constantly checking on us!! We enjoyed sitting in the outside patio section near the rear back door. Other than street traffic noise, it was wonderful. The street noise the restaurant can't do a thing about...lol !!! Highly recommend if you are in Lancaster area!! Roosters is always packed, so expect a louder environment. We went on a Friday evening, around 4:30, thinking it might be early enough to beat the crowd. Nope. I think it was busier because you have the happy hour crowd still there and the dinner bunch joining. The food is great and affordable. My personal favorite is the Red, Bacon, and Blue Salad or the Sweet Chili Thai wings. They have a variety of choices for everyone. I appreciate the kids meals, too. They are under $5 and things that my kids would actually eat. The service time is expected for a busy crowd. The waitresses are friendly and helpful. Ambiance is alright-- the inside is well lit and the patio where we sat was well insulated and kept at a good temperature. We had some fun tunes playing in the background, and a couple TVs with which to watch sports. The food was alright. My quarter-pounder burger was pretty thin so it was okay but not very desirable. The traditional Honey BBQ wings were well sauced, however my bone-in Medium wings looked as if they had time to soak the sauce in and get somewhat Soggy. They really weren't appealing to the eye in sauce amount or color, but they tasted okay. We went during Spring Break for lunch so we knew it would be busy. Even then, our wait was less than 10 minutes since we opted to sit at the bar for a party of 2. The bartender took our orders and our beer was out quickly. We had a burger and I ordered the fish sandwich. My sandwich was a little on the toasty side but it was still pretty good. Saw this placed packed two nights in a row so I figured it would be decent or at least a good place to do some people watching during the lunch hour. Good sized space with the typical sports bar layout and decor. Service was nice but a little slow for the amount of people in the dining room but no biggie since I wasn't in a huge rush. Giant sized wings, a little under cooked for my taste, maybe a local taste but I'd try them again and ask to have them cooked a little more. Flavors were decent, slightly muted / watered down, again it maybe be a local thing. The standout was the garbage fries, basically nacho fries with bacon, cheese, jalapeño chips and other goodies. Overall a decent spot if you like to drink with your meal in a casual sports bar. read more

Great burgers! It's a smaller bar with less people which can be nice. Definitely go for a burger!

First time at this location. However, it fall in line with other locations that i have been to. This particular location is a bit smaller, so there can be a bit of a wait depending on when you arrive. The food was on par with the other locations, no better, no worse. The service was a bit lacking this trip. Our server had many tables so she may have been stretched a bit, but there were multiple order errors, all of which were immediately taken care of. I have been to a few Roosters in Columbus and have never liked them. The food was always just edible, noisy and crowded. So I never gave the one in Lancaster a chance. But after the recent decline of the Bob Evans and Applebees we found ourselves with little choices for eating out without driving to Columbus. So glad we did It was noisy and a little crowded but the food was excellent. Fried chicken salad was fresh, cold, huge and delicious. Thai chilli wings were the best I ever had. Mushroom appetizer, while frozen was better than average for a frozen Deep fried item. Drinks came in a very large glass that meant you didn't need to worry about getting a refill. The food is not like the food I have been served at othe locations. Never consistent , have had rude service while dinung in and carryout looks like garbage in to go conatiners. Oh man, I really wanted to give Rooster's a five star review. The food is great. The location, atmosphere, and policies are not. First major strike for me is that they allow smoking on the patio. There aren't any signs denoting this that I can see. We went with our daughter and were initially ok. Right after we ordered our food, we were surrounded by people smoking. Most of them were chain smokers, so it got very stinky--there was no breeze at all. The L-shape of the area makes it hard for a breeze to blow around the building. I looked up the Ohio laws online and for open-air, covered patios, it's up to the establishment to permit or prohibit smoking. Rooster's permits smoking. Yuck! Second major strike is the noise. The restaurant itself is LOUD. As a sports bar, we were expecting that. We were not, however, expecting to be able to hear the noise from the road right outside. I literally jumped twice thinking a semi was slamming into the building. Once we were in the patio, conversation was impossible. Third strike was the service. Our food took forever to come out. It was busy, so that's understandable. What isn't is that I had to beg for refills. I'm not a big "drinker" at restaurants. I usually order tea or water and get one refill. My husband usually gets two. We didn't get any, even after asking. Three times. The food is pretty good, although we all agree Buffalo Wild Wings down the street is better (and a tad cheaper). I'd consider going to them for take out only, but I personally cannot support a business that endorses smoking around kids and food. We won't be back. read more

I got 10 boneless wings and they're all very dry in the middle after the second time of having to go back due to my daughters burnt corn dogs and other items being incorrect. While on a roadtrip to lancaster we stopped at Roosters and sat outside to enjoy the nice weather. We wanted to sample all the different varieties so we got a bunch of different kinds and sides to get the full experience. We went with the onion feathers, the mac n cheese bites, the curly fries, the seasoned wedges, the boneless wings, the fingers, the tenders in grilled, marinated and fried with all the sauces. God, do I feel like a pig listing all of this! To make myself feel better we only got 2 of each and shared them between 3 people. All of it was really good, REAL chicken, no mush, I loved the grilled and marinated, the guys liked it fried, the sides were good, there is really something for everyone. I love roosters. This is by far my favorite wing place I believe their wings are very large compared to some other places like a BW3 or Beef O'Brady's. The Waitresses are always really nice people are good they got great cold draft beer I got hot wings always go with the donkey wings with ranch and fries with no telling how much money I've spent in this place to be honest. But I've never had a bad meal here, steak and potato chicken wing type of dude and this is right up my alley I put this above Hooters I put this above any other wing place this is by far my favorite sports bars American bar whatever you want to call it. I love Roosters! It is one of the things I miss most about living in Columbus. At my most recent visit, I was so excited to learn that you can mix sauces. I got a hot and garlic sauce mixed and it was delicious! I got breaded chicken tenders and they are always so good! As a side, my friend and I shared curly fries with cheese and bacon which, let's be real, would be hard to mess up! They did not disappoint. I love Rooster's curly fries! We also got fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks as an app and both were delicious. The mozzerella sticks really stood out and I burnt my mouth being too impatient to wait for them to cool! The hubby and I ate at this Roosters yesterday for lunch. We both ordered boneless wings and they were fantastic. You can tell there werent any 'fillers' or anything else in the wings. I also ordered their 'Red, Bacon & Blue' salad, which was ok, but seemed like it needed a little more dressing on it. The building itself seemed rather small, as I am sure it used to be another restaurant before. I quickly compared the size of the restaurant to another Roosters off of Henderson Rd. The staff were very friendly and they took our order right away. The waitresses kept bringing my husband refills when I was completely ignored. I didnt drink my Sprite down right away, but they allowed me to finish my glass with asking if I wanted some more. If I was paying the bill, I would of been more than happy to rethink the tip. read more

If you live in the Columbus or Central Ohio area you may see or have heard of Roosters. We have one right here in Lancaster and it is on our monthly rotation and sometimes weekly. The food is always great and the prices are hard to beat for what you get. I usually get either the fried roosters salad with hot garlic chicken and the garlic Italian dressing (the dressing is only available certain locations but I highly recommend it) or I get 10 boneless or drum wings in hot garlic with spicy ranch. There are so many great appetizers to choose from but our favorites are the roosters chips with the spicy cheese sauce and or the fried pickle chips. My friends will get thief pizzas, dumpster fries, nachos and cheese, garlic bread, and the list could go on. Roosters is a great sports bar with fantastic food and good service. If you love wings, watching sports, and enjoying a drink or two or three then stop by and enjoy. read more

They could double the size of this place and there would still be a wait! They are always packed, which is the sign of a successful business. We ended up getting a couple chairs at the bar and turned in our pager. Even though they were very busy, our food came out quickly. We ordered Rooster's chips and they came out first. They were hot, just the way we like them. I ordered the burrito and my girlfriend ordered a half order of the fingers. She ended up taking one home because they were so big! I wish they had more craft beer on tap. If they did, they would definitely need a bigger building. Parking lot is pretty tight. read more
