My experience at Root Cause has been excellent! I was somewhat skeptical of how successful my treatment would be via telemed sessions, but it turned out to be very satisfying. There was adequate time to discuss key issues and to establish a plan of action to be followed until the next session. My objective was to stop taking blood pressure meds that I had been on for over 10 years. My cardiologist had no desire to find the root cause or to even discuss why I might have high BP. It was frustrating. This is the reason I pursued treatment with RC! Someone was finally willing to do what was necessary to find out WHY I needed BP meds and then do something about it!! In today's world, there are a multitude of tests available to take. I loved that that was the starting point - a battery of testing that helped pin point conditions in my body that might be the source of my problem. As an engineer, I loved the details and the analysis for all the tests and I found it motivating to attack key areas in my drive to have no meds!! Be aware that the costs for these tests comes out of pocket and in reality, they ain't cheap! But good health is worth it to me!! One of the key protocols my wife and I engaged in was an elimination diet. At first a real challenge but over time a very positive and helpful way to eat. We have adopted several key approaches to our eating as a result of the diet. We were both gluten sensitive, both had H-pylori, both had leaky gut and both had minor mico-toxin issues. I attribute my success in conquering my BP to proper eating and resolution of some of those issues. I found Dr Rick to be awesome! Highly knowledgable, easy to talk to and full of experience with situations like mine and my bride's that allowed him to share what has been done with other patients and how successful they were or were not! I truly enjoyed meeting with Dr Jen. I found her to be refreshing and full of great ideas. We shared multiple book and podcast recommendations between us that have turned out to be very helpful in my health journey!! She is very sharp and a great asset to the RC team! The admin staff is outstanding. We always felt comfortable calling with questions, getting little details resolved and just having a good time talking! I can imagine this is a really fun place to work!! Would I recommend RC? Absolutely!! They are committed to do just what the name implies - get to the root cause and resolve it!!! I like what Dr Rick told me frequently - The body has the capability to heal itself if we give it the right conditions to do so. He is right!!! When confronted with the cost of the treatment with RC you must ask yourself - is my health worth the investment of time and money? Our insurance did not cover any of our treatment, but for us, it was worth the expense. I've been coming to Root Cause since March and I keep coming back for many reasons... The front desk staff make you feel warm and welcomed. I always feel genuinely accepted and have noticed they're like this with other patients so it's not just me. The Doctor's are knowledgeable, genuine, and kind. Even if you've only seen one of their Doctors, all them are friendly and kind. Dr. Sterling is very intuitive in his adjustments and provides support and care that is tailored to my needs. I'm a very active person so my adjustments are mostly maintenance now but never anything less than high quality. He is easily able to help with anything that gets out of whack. The key take away is that I know I am truly cared for here. I don't see dollar signs in their eyes when anyone walks through their doors, I see genuine care for helping people achieve their optimum health. If I could give 10 stars I would. I arrived in bad shape... Covid had hit me hard and I wasn't recovering physically even after two months. I felt weak, I had been overweight for over a decade, I couldn't taste or smell, there was so much inflammation in my body and I felt extremely unhealthy. We did thorough tests, worked with factual data, and did a program to cover medical, functional medicine, physical therapy, chiropractic, nutrition and even IV therapy.
