Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.

I submitted all of the documents quickly and in the timeframe provided and then did not hear back from the firm until I called multiple times. When I did it was the receptionist that saved the day. (Woman is a saint.) The filing was supposed to be efiled and I was due a credit. Again, I paid the fee and it was 5 weeks before I had to call again and see what had happened. Apparently he hadn't "pushed the e-file button". SMH. In the end, it all turned out okay but not without frustration and unprofessional follow up/through. Will not be returning...
