We meet Kyle right outside of the studio by their Woodshop stand sign. We walked down a ramp and to the last suite on the left (I believe). The shop smelled like fresh wood chips and had great circulation. We learned so much from Kyle and appreciate his patience as he tried to test our math/fraction abilities haha. But even with the math, Kyle made it felt easy and informed us of the power tools and made the machines less scary. It was such a great experience and our bookshelves turned out sooo great! We gained more than just bookshelves but confidence in building and a spark for ideas for the next projects. My wife will be joining the intermediate class and build more things for our home. So happy a studio like this exists!

Discovered that one tool I had used before I was using incorrectly. No wonder I couldn't get the results I wanted. Recommend beginner class to anyone wanting a great intro to woodworking. Definitely worthy of a five star rating. Gary Gallegos

Awesome small venue and this production is brought to us by Theatre Or (a non-profit professional…read moretheatre company dedicated to the production of innovative, provocative, and entertaining professional theatre that explores topics which are relevant to the Jewish community and also hold universal appeal). Kindertransport was the informal name of a series of rescue efforts which brought thousands of refugee Jewish children to Great Britain from Nazi Germany between 1938 and 1940. Only 10 percent of them ever saw their parents again. Very moving and thought-provoking play about mothers, daughters and the powerful need for reconciliation? Or is it a story of escape and survival, which is captivating and ultimately uplifting? All the actors did a great job performing the characters. Again, Denver just abounds with so many talented actors! It's playing from Oct 30 to Dec 14. Must see play so we never forget about the horrors of this time period. There are 7 survivors from the Kindertransport living in Denver and fortunately 6 were able to be reunited with their parents. After the play there was a question/answer period with Peter Hamburger, one of the Kindertransport survivors that lives in Denver, Diane Gilboa, the Producing Artistic Director and Founder of Theatre Or and some of cast members. Very moving and so wonderful to be able to hear his story and learn more about the production. Plenty of free parking and they also have other small venues inside the main area.

Overall: Trustworthy place for alterations and custom work…read more He's clear about what's realistic, what isn't, what he can do, and why. Alterations: George transformed a delicate silk dress so the top half not only fit but flattered me. It had the perfect balance between loose and structured. He added a built-in bra with no visible trace and perfectly matched darts on both sides, plus a high-quality liner that feels invisible. I can just throw the dress on and feel comfortable and polished without extra layers. Worth every penny. Fabric: He sources materials within a reasonable budget without sacrificing quality (though some fabrics may cost more, I think it's worth it). He found a perfect liner match for my silk dress that feels incredibly soft. Design: Versatile with a strong eye for design across styles, from casual to formal to couture-like pieces. He can also create custom clothes tailored to your body and personal style. Price: Reasonable. Quality work reflects the value. Sewing Classes: Two great experiences so far. Hands-on, practical, and tailored to your pace and project. Relaxed and informal, which I like. He starts by getting you comfortable on the sewing machine right away and shares helpful tips as you progress. He's patient with questions and plans to offer more project-based classes in the future, like tote bags. My Projects so far: 1. Organza blazer: Adjusted the upper sleeve design to hide small holes. Now, it looks subtly more unique. Learned how organza fabric behaves and how to plan, prep, and mark before execution. 2. Sheer burnout velvet top: Undoing a previous alteration and redesigning the fit of a delicate, boxy top with two finicky layers. He walked me through the full process--from prep to execution--including stitch removal, fabric behavior, needle selection, machine basics and maintenance, tools worth having (and not), measuring and marking, steaming techniques, cutting precision, darts, shaping the armpit area cleanly, secure stitching methods, and possible fixes if mistakes happen. Next session will focus on finishing the top, adding a built-in side zipper, and learning how to use my new Pfaff sewing machine. Space: Small but well-equipped with multiple machines, a few seating spots, and one curtained dressing area. Tucked into an alley among creative, independent businesses with a welcoming community feel. Extra: His gentle, golden-eyed dog, Gray, makes the space even more welcoming. He loves pets and tug-of-war and stays quietly nearby.
