I suspect those packets of powder others talk about are a herbal formula granules ordered from professional herbal suppliers. Some are available online to the general public, some require a license. As a former student of an acupuncture college, and reading other reviews here where people were never given adequate explanations from Dr. Park, I just wanted to add that any acupuncturist can and should explain to the patient in words his diagnosis and treatment plan including how his herbal medication is supposed to work, side effects, and ask what other prescription medication you might be on to check for contraindications because acupuncturist know more about mixing herbals with prescription than your average MD., some western pharmacology is part of the licensing exam. Don't be intimidated, demand Dr. Park or any acupuncturist to explain your diagnosis and treatment plan and how long he expects to treat in order for you to show improvements. That way, if you see someone else, you can compare. At the very least, the diagnosis should be the same or one doctor is wrong.

After the second treatment, I was feeling better. It took a few visits, but it was working. Dr. Park relieved me of over 95% of my pain. Then, my insurance quit paying, so I had to stop. I am in some pain again and am so happy he is still in the same place.

How can I be the first to review Gary Danchak, OMD and his South Reno Acupuncture?…read more I first saw Gary in 2011 for wellness visits, acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I'm a big fan of Chinese medicine. Reminds me of my youth and living with my grandparents. When I smell the herbs, it reminds me of the bottle that my grandmother had in her rice cabinet in our kitchen. I received acupuncture. Stimulates different points in the body. Once in awhile, you might hit a nerve, like hitting that funny bone in your elbow. Gary Danchak is probably one of the smartest people I've met in his field. He is very thorough and very nice and personable. Today I went back for a family member who unfortunately is still battling the effects of the Vietnam War. We ventured out to pick up some Chinese herbs from Dr. Danchak (aka Gary). Located in South RAC, the parking lot is typically full, but not today, due to COVID-19. South Reno Acupuncture is still open with limited hours and Dr. Danchak can diagnose via photos you send him. He does have patients in his office on a limited schedule. Also, he wears a mask and follows the CDC guidelines.
