I then told him that I wanted to try it on for my friends so I could get their opinion on the coat. The sales associate then walked away. Talk about rude! I just spent over $1000 in their store and they just walk away?? Are you kidding me?? Luckily I had three amazing friends with me who helped me pull and try on as many coats as possible to find one that would be a decent fit for the cold winter months ahead. This store would not give me a refund. Any other store would have given me a refund or purchased the coat I wanted in the bigger size. I couldn't believe the snarky comments coming out of the employees mouths. My friends were flabbergasted at the attitude the employees were spitting out at us. I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!!! I rather go to a store like Holt Renfrew or Mendocino where they do what needs to be done to make the customer happy. Holt Renfrew will fix products that need mending and their customer service is way better. Mendocino would have ordered me the coat in the larger size in a heartbeat. This store was so nice to me when I spent over $1000 here but as soon as I wanted to make an exchange or get a refund they couldn't care less. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE AT ALL!!! I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!! I learnt my lesson about buying a big ticket item at a mom and pop shop. I will never make this mistake again. It's a shame because I'm sure there are great mom and pop shops where they care about their customers but this store DOES NOT CARE about anyone except their check book.

Even though I didn't end up buying mine from Due West since we were in a different part of town prior to leaving Toronto, their suggestions helped me narrow down the jacket I eventually bought and love in this weather. They also offer Fusion Fit for petites that we didn't find calling around other CG resellers like Holt Renfrew. The wide-selection and availability in sizes definitely makes this a good spot to get a good dose of goosey warmth.

I'll always have a soft spot for this place - highly recommend if you're into vintage, pretty dresses. Most of that part of Queen Street has great vintage finds.

There were more adorable earrings, purses, and clothes than I could fathom. My friend and I wandered the store for nearly an hour alternately exclaiming, "cute!" with mouth agape or chatting up the staff. As Erin H mentions, each showcased artist/designer works onsite once a week. The only downside to this is if inquiring minds have questions about something other than the artist du jour personally made, there won't be any answers. And as a person with some hard core metal allergies, I won't buy jewelry unless I am certain that it doesn't contain anything that will make my earlobes swell. However, I was lucky to encounter the artist who crafted the earrings that fell in love with and so, got to take them home with me (and support the local arts). Plus, I was able to be a helper that day (I love being of assistance). As the resident artist handed me a credit card receipt, I was able to pass along this little tip: legal colors only please! I passed on the pink pen handed to me and instead signed with a my own, handy blue plume. For, although I wasn't planning on contesting the charges, anyone could attempt to do so and without either a customer's blue or black ink signature on file, the store might end up "out" some fundage.

This is a disaster. Some years ago I'd spend thousands and thousands of dollars at this chain of stores. I'd spontaneously buy things I found there at reg price just because they fit well and looked good. GR actually helped me (6'-6", 36 waist, 15 shoe) build a decent casual fashion wardrobe for some years. and I scooped most anything they stocked that could use, as did other tall slim locals like me (it was competitive and sizes went fast.) Now this is a dead store for me. :-( Not bitter, and thanks GR for the help in years past. It was a uniquely helpful experience for tall men.

I've been in a few times since it's opened and I've never been disappointed. I happened by here today with one of my friends so we could check out the sales. I have to say, I was even more impressed than usual. Service is always great, but even with a store crowded with throngs of bargain hunters, we both received excellent service. The salespeople were extremely helpful despite the crowd. Whenever a store has a sale on, I always feel like I'm going to end up picking through the remnant pieces of clothing that no one else wants, however, today, that was not the case...the sale prices were amazing and the selection was ridiculous. We had a great time shopping and literally had to stop ourselves from buying more than we did. Overall, they carry a great selection of office attire, and great weekend attire as well. Will definitely be going back...there's a reason this place is one of my favourite shopping spots.

The manager I spoke to certainly didn't look too pleased that I was exchanging an item instead of purchasing something, however, she made an exception and allowed me to exchange the shirt for the current selling price ($25 dollars less than original value). I quickly picked out something and paid $8 more. Another sales person helped me at the cashier who was friendlier than the Manager. She wrapped the new shirt up nicely and apologized they couldn't do something more. Overall, a pleasant experience at Ann Taylor where you'll receive A-OK service!

I'm in Canada and placed an order via their "Global-e". I needed to make a return…read more First, I was not able to create a return label on the Global-e website. I contacted customer service, and it was resolved after two days. Then, they charged the $15 return fee, but REFUSE to refund the sales taxes of $50 that they collected at the time of purchase. I contacted customer service again. Five days later, they said the taxes were forwarded to my local "customs authorities" and ask me to claim them back myself. It's only been 2 weeks since I placed the order and return the product. I don't believe the taxes are forwarded to any Canadian authorities at this time. They didn't provide any detailed information on which authority they forwarded the taxes to, and when the taxes collected from me were forwarded. If the product is still in its "returnable period", any taxes collected should NOT be forwarded to any other parties. Why would you give out the taxes knowing the product could be returned? This return cost me $65 for nothing but a very frustrating and disappointing experience! My friend recommend them to me, but I'm very disappointed! Well known for their leather jackets and more fitted skinny wear, it does bring the style over the Atlantic. The store in Yorkdale is quite similar to the ones you find in UK. The one I visited in Leeds had half the space but the darkness and industrial loft vibe is the same. With men's wear on one side and women's wear on the other, you can easily look around to see if any particular cloth interest you. Most of the time, AllSaints colour scheme is dark ... olives, grey, black, or brown. Occasionally you'll get the cream or maybe a navy. This time.. weirdest thing, they had Hawaiian shirts for the men's. Like I said, weird and unexpected. The women's line tend to have a touch more colour. With summer season, they did have a few cute summer dresses. Aside from a darker colour palette, the women's wear has an obvious trend. Nothing form fitting but it can be short! Their mini dresses or skirts can much shorter than you're used to! That being said they do have a bunch of items that are ok to bend over and not feel like you're gonna be the next meme. I do find their clothes to be very different compared to most North American brands. I highly suggest you try them on ... even the ones that look terrible on the rack. I ended up falling in love with one that looks like a potato sack ... turns out it has a gorgeous low cut drape in the front and it's short. Price wise... it's not cheap at all but I do find the materials very soft and the clothes well made. They may not have a lot of tailored edges or special styling, but I find their clothes stand up well to wash and wear. It is a bit trendy so they trend may die before the clothes do. They do sales as well... I think I saw a few nice pieces for 40%. So if you're not looking to spend $100 on a shirt, you could wait for the sale. Service here was pretty good ... they were greeting everyone and letting them know of the store wide sale. They were also proactive to help find a size and also help match up other items to what we tried to find. I maybe biased but I have fond memories shopping in London at AllSaints. I feel the Canadian stores have a very similar experience. Maybe I'm not edgy enough to wear all the street clothes but I'll check out the cute sundress next time I'm in Yorkdale.
