With Italian food, I also prefer very good Italian wine versus a cocktail. He pointed me to 2 red wines that were bold and heavy as I requested. Both were just OK, but expensive. Wines by the bottle was ridiculously high. Regardless, he was great in steering me to the type of dishes more suited to what I was asking for and not just the most expensive. This restaurant has been highly recommended by my brother and sister in law for years. They had told us it was one of the best Italian food they have had anywhere. But, In its previous location, it just looked a bit stuffy for a CANCÚN vacation meal. At its new location, though it was still upscale, it seemed more approachable to us somehow. To kill time, we sat at the bar and got a few drinks until our table was ready (which only took about 20-25 minutes). The ambiance inside feels very upscale and our waiter, Juan, was great the entire time and was very attentive. The only time he fell short was when he had forgotten our pizza order which we had to remind him about. Overall, the food was delicious at this all-inclusive resort. Being able to try various dishes made this pit spot at Nebbiolo well worth it. The dough was fluffy in some areas but slightly undercooked in others. The toppings were sliding off and it was just hard to eat overall. - Tiramisu tart (2/5): This tart was not really reminiscent of traditional tiramisu in that the base filling was not smooth from the chocolate sable cookie. I first ordered a Margarita Cancún, which was tasty and sweet. That was followed by the Margarita Golden with Grand Mariner, which was prepared quite nicely. These were definitely some of better margaritas that I've had in Zona Hotelera. Given the size of the Golden, I would say it is still a good value rivaling the States (well, the east coast, anyway). I ordered a second bottle of water that never appeared and then the server seemed surprised when I asked him to cancel it from the check. Then it was on the check, so I just had them bring the water after all. Service was OK. It took a minute to get the waiter's attention, and then it was ages getting the (incorrect) bill. On the plus side, since I was staying in the hotel, I had two coupons for a free drink--which counts as either a shot of tequila or a dessert drink, for the record.
