I love this store! It's connected to Huckleberry's Natural Market. There's a cafe next to the delicatessen. I spoke with two employees at the cafe and both were very pleasant and friendly. Eager to help me. They have fresh produce, and so many items throughout the store, even educational materials, greeting card and Montana calendars. The bakery is amazing! The employee I spoke with was very friendly. I didn't get their name but they answered my questions about that huge Texas donut that looks like it's five long donuts in one! I order the cronut which had a nice crunch but soft inside with sweet dough and sweet glaze. It wasn't greasy and it was perfect for a breakfast treat. Also, the store is in a good location off a main road and it has a large parking lot. There's several self checkout machines. Highly recommend. read more

I usually love Rosaur's, but this review is in regard to the bakery which has consistently been declining over the last couple of years. I was there today, and the hamburger buns were so flat, I thought two of them were the top and bottom half! They didn't rise at all! Then, when looking at the cookies, the ginger cookies had no icing on them at all, but used to have a big puddle on top. And the M&M cookies had the same fate as the hamburger buns---flat! There doesn't seem to be much quality control going on, and someone has either got the recipe wrong or the oven temps aren't right. The bakery used to be a real highlight of the store, but now it's just sad. It was at one time my main draw, but no more; Safeway's cookies look much better. Also---one more point, it would be nice if Rosaur's could provide diced veggies, such as onions, celery, peppers. They are a great help to people who work, as they save so much prep time. (Both Albertson's and Safeway have them.) Sadly looks like I may need to switch markets. read more

This is my husbands, and I go to for shopping. They have a great drink and produce selection and their deli is great. Their bakery is great, and I always get a couple bagels and a donut during my weekends. But lately the bagels, specifically the blueberry bagels, have been so bad. The dough has no taste, and the blueberries just taste off. I'm not sure if they make them fresh or if they get them in frozen. But they just aren't the same. I'm disappointed because this was, in my opinion, the best place to get bagels in town. read more

This store is a whole mother level!! I'm whoever is responsible for customer statisfaction is doing a tremendously great job. No other store supermarket store that I've been to has had someone literally in front of the store just making sure everyone is greeted and a cleaned cart of provided. The store is extremely organized with no clutter and wry easy to find everything. Staff are also walking around asking if we need any assistance. Really good store although expensive. The bakery could use improvement. Their cakes are great, but the sweet roles bulky, not Danish. The baguettes and French bread are not very French except for shape. The dough is more like American bread. We can only speak to the Huckleberry and organic produce sections of this store as we don't often venture into the middle. If you took those two sections and put them into a store of their own, it would be a tiny market, so naturally the selection is somewhat limited. You can still find kelp noodles and silken tofu, but there's often only one or two of a particular item left, if there are any at all. Larabars, for example, are almost always missing, "Feed Me Cookies" was visible on almost all the Alternative Baking Company boxes when we were there yesterday, and we were fortunate to come across the last can of guar-free coconut milk. Not only may you have to deal with a shortage of products, it's imperative that you check the expiry date on whatever you're lucky enough to grab. We always end up buying an expired item since we aren't accustomed to so regularly finding out of date products in our local stores that we check before tossing our stuff into the cart. Yesterday (June 08, 2019) we purchased a box of Nature's Bakery Fig Bars in Peach Apricot only to notice the Best By date this morning (June 09, 2019) informing us we were eight years too late? (Perhaps this is a batch typo, but we'd like to think the store might have questioned that and put a note or removed the product.) There is also a lot of moldy, mushy, spoiled produce amongst the perfectly fine produce, so it seems they restock without removing the old first, extending the best by issue beyond packaged goods. Overall, it's an average grocery store wrapped in a pretty building. It's spacious, bright, the prices are typical, and the cashiers are friendly. It wouldn't make it to the Top 40 list of cleanliest grocery stores we've ever frequented, especially around the refrigerated chicken area, which had standing bloody liquid in the holding bin, at the perfect grabbing height for little fingers, but it's not filthy. Right now our commute to shop here is over two hours, and for that it's not worth it. However, if you live in the area or you're passing through and want to pick up a few things, you'll probably find whatever you're looking for, or at least a space on the shelf for where it should be. I have shopped at Bozeman's Rosauers for 2 years. Coming from the Midwest I have shopped at Whole Foods for 30 years! Rosauers is really superior! Especially in the last 4 years wholeFoods which used to be a delight has gone down hill on a sled! Rosauers deli is clearly superior! Poor WholeFoods: they got greedy and it shows! I prefer Safeway, Smiths and Albertson's to WholeFoods, and for me Rosauers is number one. I hope they keep trying to improve, have a very visible suggestion box and realize that some people are discerning and will even drive out of their way for a single item! WholeFoods might be nice when they open, but give them 6-12 months, and they will not be worth it! Yes, I have shopped in many WholeFoods from Berkeley, CA to Washington, DC! This store is an overpriced, under-stocked mess. You never know if the organic item you are looking for is in the main store or the "huckleberries" area. I am over wasting my time stoping here in the evening for fresh carrot/beet juice. Sometimes it's open other times it's closed. When staff is trying to leave they clean the machine and say fresh vegetable juice is not available. I brought the issue to the manager who said fresh juice is available till 9. They don't offer anything that the other stores offer and yet their prices are higher on virtually everything! Rosauers Supermarket is quite new in the Bozeman area, but what a welcome addition. The store is fabulous. Based out of Washington, the store houses a post office, floral department and Huckleberry's Natural. The produce department is quite large and offers organic fruits and vegetables. Huckleberries offers organic frozen meals as well as vegetarian and dietary specialties such as soy products and gluten free. The store is incredibly clean, and the employees are willing to help and are very friendly. read more

I typically enjoy shopping at Rosauers in Bozeman but today had a mixed experience. Shopping primarily for vegetables, I was helped by an employee when I could not find a product I wanted and was offered further assistance. This was very commendable. But, later when I checked out with the self-check system, I found that baby red potatoes that were on sale did not reflect the sale price. I asked the employee at the self-check out section to check the price. He called the produce department and they confirmed the price reflected on the computer, which I knew to be wrong. I finished my check out and then went back to the produce section to check the price. Sure enough, the sale price was less. I was given a refund of just a few cents, but I was amazed that there did not seem to be an attempt to correct the price in the system. While my purchase was small and did not amount to a lot of money, given the amount of potatoes the store may sell, it is cheating customers of an advertised sale price. I think the store should take this more seriously. What other sale prices have I missed out on??? read more

Love it because it sells many items which hard to find in any other grocery stores in town : like organic baby bokchoy, Coco water, lamb chops. And less pricey compare to other who also carries it. The Deli is OK. I only like their rotisserie chicken - the whole or the pieces. Their chinese food is....bozeman's standard :-) Their bakery is awesome though. I shop here when I really need something and don't feel like driving somewhere else. The cost is much higher than their competitors but when I'm pressed for time I weigh the traffic gas etc. I went to the produce section to get some bananas. The employee working there was an older woman with long curly black and grey hair.I am very particular about my bananas as I just don't like really ripe ones, or even mostly ripe ones, I prefer more of a green banana and then they last longer for me as they ripen on my counter. Anyhow it shouldn't matter because I am the one spending my money there and I have the right to decide what I want and don't want. She saw me looking through the bananas and I was by no means " rooting " through them but she had the audacity to stop what she was doing and walk over to me and say" all of those bananas came off the same truck"- ok I replied but I need a certain type, and I felt like I had to defend my choice in deciding which bunch I wanted to purchase! Why did she care? Why did she have to stop what she was doing to walk over to me and put in her two cents worth? I didn't ask for her help, and I was finding myself trying to explain to a rude employee what I was doing! Now I will remember her and I have found myself in the store since, but I always look for her and if I see her I avoid her. I probably should have reported her but I didn't. Rousours needs to remind their employees that the customer is the one buying items and if they need your help they will ask for it! Last Wednesday, 8 of us did a major grocery shop at Rosauers after flying into Bozeman for our annual fly fishing trip. We love the store and people, and would never shop anywhere else. We loaded up the car and drove 2.5 hours to Island Park, Idaho. On arrival, we realized one of our carts never made it to the trunk and was left in the store. We called Rosauers - got a friendly voice, got transferred to Amanda in Customer Service, and confirmed they had the cart, and had already placed it in their cooler. We then asked if she knew anyone who might be willing to do the drive to meet us with the food. She said, "I am getting off duty now - I will, if my manager okays it." The approval was made. We then agreed to meet in Ennis (about half way) at a gas station we both knew. It was a moment of trust for both parties who didn't know each other at all. We arrived at the appointed spot, and there she was - with her uniform and nametag still on! We couldn't be happier for this outcome. Most of all, we are grateful for how quickly and decisively the Bozeman team went into motion to correct our stupidity!! Thank you to the Management team for approving the rendezvous, and to Amanda for delivering it! Everything we buy at Rosauers is of the best quality - this adds to our satisfaction in a major way. The store is clean, the choices are plentiful, the staff is professional and knowledgeable and the salad bar is outstanding. One of my favorite things to do is order a platter of my choice direct from the sushi chef and watch him make it before my eyes. Then, with sushi in hand walk a short distance and make up two salad bowls; one for me with lots of greens, good peppers, kalamata olives, and all the odds and ends you could ask for, and the second salad bowl for my dog made up solely of roast beef and turkey cut into one inch cubes. No extra charge for the bowl of meat, and no questions asked. Finally I swing back by the pharmacy tops ca up whatever prescription is being made up for us and it's always ready quickly. I've noticed that they mark them "In the store" when I am in the store shopping. Rosaurer's is one stop shopping at it's best. read more

Best grocery store in Bozeman, hands down. The store is clean and bright, and their food quality is always top of the line. The produce and meat departments are exceptionally fresh. I have never seen rotten food on their shelves, which I frequently see at other large grocery chains in town. Best of all, their customer service is delightful. Gorgeous new space, big and lots of space and choices. But they should be cheaper - especially their Western Family (which is like their house brand) brand. The guys and gals bag your groceries AND really, really want to carry them to your car for you (even in the winter)! Aisles are wide and the store is impecably spotless. The coffee and salad bar is a favorite gathering place for locals. Huckleberrys offers a large selection items typically found only in health food stores and shops. Friendly staff, good selection of produce and killer bakery. The bakery throws down an exceptionally delicious fruit tart. Have spoken to the girls in the bakery and the manager before and all were really friendly. Had a slight issue with some desserts we ordered once but they resolved our problem quickly. Customer service was outstanding! Traveling to Bozeman for a wedding Thanksgiving weekend, looked to Rosauers for Thanksgiving meal to feed 40-50 people.
