Came to Bozeman and was looking for some snacks and adult beverages to enjoy in the hotel. Drove lossy Community food co-op and decided to give it a try. This place reminds this Texan gal of what we call Whole Foods. Lots of great organic , gluten free and healthy options. (Like whole Foods a little pricey but you get what you pay for right?) Found some resonantly priced organic fruit, dark chocolate and wine. Staff was nice. I noticed a cafe on the second level with fresh smoothies I think I'll have to try before I leave town! (Open until about 3pm I think)

This is an incredible place! I came here for a salad bar to eat some healthy food during my trip to Montana. The food is outstanding, the selection is terrific and the store itself is spacious and beautiful. This is what a local grocery should look like!

I'm going to give this Co-op a 4 star for the variety of items they have. If you are familiar with a Trader Joe's it is similar to that. They had a cafe/salad bar with hot and cold food, plus you could order sandwiches. Food was not so great. We tried several things as it was buffet style and was $9.49/lb. Nothing really wowed is, so my husband and I were both disappointed. I guess this is to be expected when you are traveling. I think a lot of the locals enjoy it because they know what is good. We liked the concept of all the different local vendors which is what drew us in.

This is a great co-op with a big selection of the usual groceries and produce but also a big salad bar and a big "hot bar", each of which you pay for by weight. The hot bar selection varies, one night we had Indian curries etc. and the other we had Cajun. Their local beer and wine selection is also impressive! They are expanding, so it will be interesting to see what they add. Very friendly and helpful staff!

This place is amazing everything is eco friendly, fresh, healthy and everything you would think of a Co-op and more. With there hot food bar, coffee/juice store, bulk section, fresh bakery and they are all extremely helpful. I needed to find a dried non dairy item and they took there time looking around the store then coming back to find me when they got it. Nothing seemed really over priced just matching the quality when it came to bigger items. With the construction they have some items in a weird place but like I said they are fine in helping you find it. Wish this store was near a place I lived I would go there all the time.

    Great fruit section

I was surprised when I went in I thought it would be a little food store but it's more like a Whole Foods I thought the food was high priced but I do admit it was really high quality. They also had outdoor seating and a seating area upstairs

I love the good bar. Great soups. Hot food was tasty. I enjoy the Indian food. Go early if you can.

My favorite lunch spot in Bozeman. Soup and salad bar is so good! The most kind and helpful staff you will likely ever encounter.

Be very careful of the salad bar. It is by the pound and it adds up very fast! The crackers are extra. It was delicious but expensive.

I wish I had gone there earlier in my stay just for the ambience lol. There are many things to question about Gardner Montana ;)However, the Gardner market was not one of them. Everybody in there was so polite and friendly. I couldn't believe it. Every time I asked for something everybody was incredibly helpful and there were some really nice ladies that were just totally friendly. The store is stocked to the brim. It has everything, at my hotel they were saying oh you won't find sunscreen or cream there but you know what they had every possible sunscreen and cream available!!! I was able to go there toward my last day and get things that I really needed like water and some sleeping pills since I was in a hotel that was very noisy! I would highly recommend the Gardner market to anyone and just remember when you're on a vacation things are more expensive because people are trying to make money in a small town so don't hold that against them. I love that market and if I lived in Gardner, I would shop there no matter what.

For someone local, or on the way to Yellowstone Park for camping, who doesn't want to drive into Bozeman and searching for organic and fresh, seasonal, local produce, Food Works is the place to go. In addition to the usual grocery items and miscellany, Foodworks has bulk products, something that was particularly interesting to me, as I have been searching for some organic cornstarch. It's surprisingly harder to find than I expected. Here it was. The manager explained they sourced from Austria. I can't say I was expecting that -- but okay. Truth is, since I moved here, I have been slacking on my usual meal prepping and healthy eating and thus have been craving something tasty and packed with nutrients.
