Part craft/art supply store, part teahouse, combined equal perfection. I think absolutely everything about this place is adorable. The art supply area of the store has cute postcards, stamps, stickers, journals, planners, pens, jewelry beads, tea sets and so much more. The teahouse portion offers hot beverages, as well as, vegan and nonvegan light food fare. Vegan options include a rice, seaweed and mushroom soup (doesn't sound like much but it's actually delicious), a fruit breakfast bowl with rice, green onion and seasame pancakes and candied walnuts. They also offer soy milk for drinks or to bring home. The gentleman who has always been working when we have gone (I believe he's also the owner) is very nice as well. They have a nice seating area and my favourite spot is the window where there are stools. There's a little rock garden with adorable plants and cacti. It's simply heavenly. Prices are also very reasonable. It is probably my new favourite place to relax.

The art/craft section sells just about everything you could want from washi tape to brushes. I really need to make a point of going in again and having a more thorough look because I got so excited about the washi tape that I didn't look as closely as I wanted. I bought a couple of tea samples to take home with me as well and the green tea is delicious! Man...this is really reminding me that I've got to go back and have tea!

Walking in I immediately fell in love. The soothing fountain, wooden elephant chair and massive wall lined with tea were the first things to catch my eye. They have lots of cool things for sale from tea sets, to pillows, to singing bowls, ginger chews and other tea merchandise. We ordered a peach rooibos tea and took a seat upstairs. You get a view of the whole shop from up there which I simply love. The two people working were both very nice and happy to answer our questions. The tea was lovely as well. There are hundreds of loose teas, dozens of tea sets in every shape, color and design, as well as candles and incense. They even have Buddhist wares available and a few different areas around the shop to sit and enjoy the calming space. The owner was very kind and the whole experience left me feeling simply wonderful. Sawadee is a great place for gift shopping and acquiring every kind of tea under the sun.

This place is off the beaten path, there's not a lot of parking in the front, and if you're not…read morecareful; you might just drive past it! There is additional parking in the back though. There's a little shop to the left when you enter & that's where you buy your $5 admission to the garden. I recommend you do your garden stroll first before buying things so you can appreciate what they sell, but also so that you don't have to lug it around with you. It's a well mapped garden with lots of greenery and later in the summer they open a little cottage inside the garden serving rose and herbal mint chocolate ice cream. They also do high teas, but we were a week too early for their opening dates for that. The garden itself is thriving & there are so many nice places to take pictures while you stroll. I'd recommend bug spray & sunscreen depending on the weather. It's also good that they give you a map with your admission. The herb gardens are abundant and you can smell them as you walk. They actually have a section for wedding parties as well. Back in the shop is a great assortment of herbal jellies and liqueurs made from herbs harvested from the gardens. The ice creams are also available in there too, and washroom is upstairs where you pass by the workshop where they make the wooden packaging for the gift sets. The lady at the counter is absolutely wonderful, and great at recommending flavours as well as giving generous little samples on crackers. She even let us sample a hidden gem there which was blueberry balsamic vinegar, aged about 3 years which was quite lovely. As a tourist, this was a lovely experience & I'd highly recommend visiting!
